April was an exciting month, to say the least – news of sold-out Rock-in-Rio concert – great articles in Attitude and Notion magazines – many interviews – Ghost Town single and video release – and lots of angsting over Shazam/Spotify/iTunes/YT and how best to promote Adam, along with the “whistle” question – whodunit? This month may see Adam performing GT live on TV and moving his way up the radio charts. Should be a busy time before the album release on June 16!

    mmm222 Some people said that they stopped watching American Idol after Season 5 … when Daughtry was number 4….and Taylor Hicks won…

    But it is interesting to read how articles on internet are talking about season 8 as the “point of no return” for Idol…

    The “disastrous” (minus Adam as mentor) Idol season 9 introduced me to Glee that was programmed after Idol… because everybody kept telling me that Glee was much better than Idol…

    I have only one hope after Season 8: Joey Cook, Season 14 finalist… She was singing all these jazzy numbers and I said to myself that I have to check her out.. and I don’t like jazz.. (Love her interpretation of “Fancy”).
    In the Idol finale tonight, she did a duet with a current popsong though..

    She is a bit weird, but knows how to give a fresh interpretation of a song and sings with passion… as someone else said in ALL… she reminds me a bit of Adam Lambert….

    Made a trip today to visit my parents, about a 4 hour drive. I heard GT once on the radio while still in Houston vicinity and then a remix on KIIS LA via Sirius radio. I then got impatient and just played it a few times from my phone! Not bad for four hour road trip.

    But I heard T Swift about 15 times! I want Adam played that much!

    Idol season XV.. inspired by your postings on ALL:
    fillers with video’s from season’s past and some unlikely duet and group collaborations between alumni’s from different seasons: maybe Crystal Bowersox and Joey Cook or all shock eliminations working together like Chris Daughtry and Pia Toscano…

    ETA.. my own suggestion: for one moment… the original set of judges, judging the judges of later Idol generations (like they did with Adam Lambert)…

    Who remember Michael Slezak’s 5 parts interview with Adam post final, Adam wearing this white jacket at that time ?
    He put Adam at number 3 at his top 35 all time favorite Idol performances…
    Slezak used to work at Entertainment Weekly and is now with tvline.

    That was one of the great interviews Axxxel. Slezack always goes over each song with the contestants in really in-depth interviews. I still follow him and Lyndsey Parker concerning The Voice and AI.

    Madonna’s Ghosttown was #38 on HAC this week. Adam’s Ghost Town was #35. Sadly, it looks as though they will be running head on for a little while.

    Does anyone know how many digital downloads GT has to date? Soundscan tracks it but I don’t know how to access the info.

    Getting more and more tweets about a cancelled m&g in Chicago. Rumors are that Management cancelled it because if “recurring older fans”… Have I missed something?

    Cait602: There was never a M&G scheduled in Chicago. The cancellation is made up by the fans because they wanted one. At least that’s what people at atop are saying. Adam probably has a to tight schedule to provide any time for M&G’s. Radio interviews only in Chicago. Try not to get down by all those tweets!

    Spotify update: 2,787,174 streams!

    Steady increase of 173k again! 11 days until is passes Cuckoo on his list. It got added to some playlists that are significant, so we’ll have to see if that pays out on tomorrow’s update.

    Skaschep thank you! Was a bit confusing reading all those tweets. Am at a point that those daily occuring Dramas arent affecting me anymore. Just trying to make sense out of everything.

    But looks like its getting a bigger topic all around. I can understand the fans who havent met Adam before – reading about “older” fans who have met Adam again and again must be a bit frustrating for them.
    But it shouldnt turn into a war between fan generations.

    Luval lol tried to look at the comments but the the comments are spammed with “No Control”. The directioners are very very ehhh how can I say it…OTT maybe? Big Main Radio station in Germany tweeted yesterday that the directioners are very welcome to wish for the new 1D song but by spamming tweets they arent making any friends at the station.
    They come across really fierce. Too fierce maybe?

    Thats why I am hesitating to wish for GT on radio stations. Dont want to come on too strong and maybe ruin any chances of air play by it. I know that it definitely wont work like that but still…dont want the stations think Glamberts are a crazy horde. Hope that wasnt in any way insulting.

    From thee article about reunion shows. Nice.

    No one asked for this, and yet, it was spectacular. It only made sense that Adam Lambert, who famously sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” in his American Idol audition, would pair up with the surviving band members to perform at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and proceed to tour with them — twice.
