That list of the Idols net worth just shows what a worker Adam is and how determined he is to succeed. He hasn’t had massive sales on any album so far, but is still fourth on the list.

Adam Lambert was the first openly gay Idol contestant, though he’s been joined in the years since by other queer performers who came out both before and after the show. His theatrical performance style earned him a devoted legion of fans, and rightfully so. Lambert is by far Idol’s best male contestant ever. The image of his performance of Gary Jules’ “Mad World” while bathed in blue light remains one of the show’s most iconic moments.

Good news from The Netherlands! Our biggest radio station (538) had Ghost Town in their part “Maak ‘t of Kraak ‘t” this evening. Ghost Town got 87,4% positive votes so the song got made. For example Britney + Iggy was in it on Saturday and got 82% negative votes.
The DJ announced him with a snippet of WYWFM and then talked about him as being the singer of Queen and also the new album that is coming out on 15th of June. Then went on about his new sound and stuff and asked the listeners what they think of the song. They apparently liked it!

My most precious Idol moment was when David Cook sang a slowed down version of “Billie Jean”…
Number two is Adam Lambert with his slowed down version “If I can’t have you”… which melted me in the same pool of Abdul..
Number three is beatboxing Blake Lewis: ” You give love a bad name”.
So all three performances have this element of surprise, a wow factor and also the way they touched my heart…

Axxxel, to me Cookie and Adam were the very best of Idol. They knew how to change it up, to be versatile, to showcase what they can really do.
To me, of course, Adam was the best of the best. He never had a bad week. He never had a weak song. He never disappointed in staging, costumes, or lighting. He just simply was a star from moment one.
I liked Nate Reuss with Fun. I liked him with Pink. I did not like him with Queen. I liked his floral coat tonight but not his voice.

The reason that editing has not been available for many comments is that I had set the comment editing timer to a maximum of 10 minutes, while trying to troubleshoot the comment posting slowdowns. This means that you had only 10 minutes from the time the comment was originally posted to edit it, then it become no longer editable. I was and still am suspicious that this function may have been one of the causes for the slowness. The timer was previously set for 525600 minutes (1 year).
I have adjusted the comment editing timer to 60 minutes, so you now will have 1 hour to edit any comments.
You may not be aware, but comment editing in general is not a built-in feature of the native WordPress commenting system. It requires an installed plugin (additional software) to enable it. I have not wanted to switch to disqus commenting (which has been used on MJs for a while now) because folks are used to this commenting system and I don’t like to make fundamental changes in the site look and feel.
I’m not aware of any recent slowdown problems. Will continue to slowly reintroduce previously available site features and functionality until I find what was causing the problem.
