Alas, Adam’s time on Glee is over (for this year) but he did find other things to keep himself (and his band) busy in April: a few well-paying private gigs. May (the month not the guitarist) won’t be a month for that though since it is getting to be crunch time and rehearsals begin for the Queen and Adam Lambert Summer Tour 2014. Only a few weeks away now!

    I have been lurking on that site ever since I became a member. Of course posters can be quite negative to Adam but a few weeks ago the haters seem to lose steam so I posted a few times and CNB responded. It turns out that she is going to be sitting a row behind and 6 seats over from me in Chicago and she wants to join our “party”!

    At any rate, she posted here yesterday because I told her about our Planning Thread and now we have another kindred spirit.

    I got an email from her through queenonline this morning that she couldn’t get into this site – she has forgotten her password. I will contact her through the Queen boards and we can perhaps get her back on board here.

    CNB has done a very diplomatic job of dealing with the nay-saysers over the past 6 months. The big thing is to ignore their posts but it’s hard sometimes and she does an amazing job of it. I think Queen would notice if their “The Show Must Go On” thread became as happy as ours during the tour and I’m committed to posting there a bit in the mornings.

    Hi retjenny! Only thing I can think of is that Avicii wants nothing to detract from the beat and from the dance vibe. Instead of sitting in front of a screen watching the “theme” of the video, he believes you can be in another room with the “video” blasting out that beat and still be swept up in the “magic”. lol. IMO, of course but he may have a point. He wants the music(?) to be up front and not distracted by any little movie. And I’m sure it cost next to nothing. He’s his own company…only needs that board to produce his whatever it is. The days of the million dollar music videos are long gone.

    I too think the LMD video is a bit of a disappointment, it looks cheap and can’t be bothered next to wake me up and Hey brother, that had proper videos…but at least it features Avicii doing his stuff, and makes the vocals front and centre.

    I wonder why Adam didn’t go to Markus’ party, even for a couple of hours if he was still in LA….

    My guess, HK fan, is that, as TJ said, he’s probably uber busy with the album and heading across the pond – having to preserve his energy and voice, as well, might be a factor.

    I don’t know why I would think to search for my high school yearbook online this evening, why the thought would enter my mind, but it did and to my surprise I found it.

    Anyway, I came across my awful yearbook photo which I hadn’t seen for decades. It’s tiny so when I enlarged it, my screen capture made it blurry. I was 17 and I remember my hair was plastered to my forehead because it was covered in perspiration.

    Looking at the photo reminded me of someone but I couldn’t put my finger on it. But then it came to me.

    Does anyone else see a kinda-sorta, maybe a little bit of a slight resemblance or … am I crazy?

    (Don’t answer that!) Laugh

    What adorable pics, ulti! The affection and admiration is so evident. I’m sure there will be tons of moments from this huge tour! And 3 weeks rehearsal, bodes well!!

    My take on the LMD video is that Avicii wanted it to be about the music, the euphoria of the crowd when he plays his fave on the album (he’s said so many times) and also, he doesn’t feature the artists in his vids anyway. (Don’t hear anyone asking where Nile is.) it’s the best dance track on True IMO, and often the closing track at his gigs. Would have been great tho to include the vid of Adam in the audience, a brilliant cameo!
    But on the plus side, True has taken Adam’s voice to millions of people worldwide, in addition to his own int’l exposure. The production is excellent, his voice is seductive and distinct. Throw in the additional exposure of the Lipton ads and the earwormy song and it’s a win.
    Addicted to You will have a hard time here, with LMD spreading so much lol! But maybe he promised Audra to release it…do love her voice!

    Sad for him, he looked downright gaunt at the iHeart awards. He was very very sick and in hospital and rehab here for almost a month after his surgery.

    I like your yearbook photo Ron but, in deference to your opinion, I will simply say that you have aged well. My eyes, on the other hand, haven’t. What does your year book quote say? From a few words it is clear that, like Adam, you already knew that you wanted to be a performing artist. Big Smile

    I wonder what the removal of “worldwide” from Adam’s bio means. Is it in reference to the tour? Perhaps there were plans for Europe that aren’t panning out. Sad for Euro-fans.
