Alas, Adam’s time on Glee is over (for this year) but he did find other things to keep himself (and his band) busy in April: a few well-paying private gigs. May (the month not the guitarist) won’t be a month for that though since it is getting to be crunch time and rehearsals begin for the Queen and Adam Lambert Summer Tour 2014. Only a few weeks away now!

    Pity they’re not jumping the Tasman Sea to do a New Zealand show but it’s only a 4 hour plane ride away. I’m planning on going to the Melbourne show.

    Michael’s has some cute crown pendants. Very subtle, small & understated… by Industrial Chic & Art-I-Cake. Inexpensive.

    Would love to go to the REALLY REALLY final show in Brisbane. It’s always been my dream to go to Australia. Will either be epic or a hot fun mess! That’s on our Labor Day. Think I am working, It is 10 hours ahead of us. So if show starts at 9pm it will be 7am EDT. I remember that from the cod piece show. Smile

    Hi sparkle!

    When you arrive in Toronto for the concert in July, will it be on Saturday or on the day of the concert Sunday?

    TLKC and I are slowly putting together dinner plans for both nights.

    There’s still plenty of time to make reservations, so it’s more out of curiosity at this point, but we’re wondering how many we will be on Saturday and how many on Sunday.

    We do know that Sunday’s get-together will be larger because several peeps will be in Detroit Saturday night at the concert and then joining us here the next day.

    I’ll just mention that angeloal and Northern Spirit have very generously rented a suite at the Novotel Hotel on Sunday as a place to gather and socialize before the concert. People can stay there and sip on wine until showtime or stay for a while and then go downstairs to the hotel restaurant for dinner. We’re going to leave that very loose, casual, and open. People can come and go as they wish.

    We do hope that, when it’s time to take the 5 minute walk to the venue, we can all gather somewhere – the suite, the restaurant, the hotel lobby – and walk over together. That would be some sight – we’ll be a mini parade! Smile

    The suite will also be a nice place to meet after the show to decompress and talk about what we just saw at the Air Canada Centre! It will also be where we can say our good-byes … until the next time. Wink

    I’m so looking forward to meeting you and your family! We’re going to have a wonderful weekend!

    HI Ron! I checked with riskylady and she is arriving with hubby early in the morning on July 12th.

    Also, Northern Spirit has an extra suite at the Novotel for the night of the 13th. If anybody is interested let us know on the planning thread.

    Excited to meet mils and sparkle in the course of the tour. So sad to miss firstimerob, retjenny and hubby, AL and ulti. For all of us, most of the tour will be a lot of fun which we will all share online.

    And while I’m here I have to share my BIG news. I’m about to change a ? to a big Y on the Tour chart on the planning thread. I scored some fairly decent tickets to MSG at REGULAR prices!! Sunday morning while on the phone with my stepson who was helping me with a “flashplayer”issue on my computer. He asked me to go to a site that had the problem but in a different browser to see if it worked there. So I went into The ticketmaster site for MSG where you need flashplayer to see the seat chart and pick seats. I guess fortunately the browser I went to had no issues and lo and behold instead of just seeing the red resale seats at outrageous prices.for the 1st time in 6-8 weeks there were also 6 or 7 blue venue priced seats too. I tried grabbing a couple, got a message that someone else got them, tried for another 2 same thing. Left it and had breakfast; went back and snagged 2 seats that miraculously reappeared.
    Section 106 Row 11 seats 19&20 which are right next to Section 107-hence closer to the stage! These are pretty good seats for regular price, although I’d been eyeing great seats on the resellers for hundreds more! Couldn’t buy those.Chances are there’ll be more good ones out there (maybe even better in a month) and I’m going to have to try NOT look…keep thinking..”a bird in the hand…”
    That’s my good news; now I have to figure out to rearrange previous concert travel and work issues to be able to go.

    also want to thank angelowal and Northern spirit for their wonderful idea for a hospitality suite on Sunday in Toronto and for their generosity in doing so. Those of us there will feel very special enjoying our special ALL friends before a wonderful concert. This all just keeps getting betterer and betterer!
