Alas, Adam’s time on Glee is over (for this year) but he did find other things to keep himself (and his band) busy in April: a few well-paying private gigs. May (the month not the guitarist) won’t be a month for that though since it is getting to be crunch time and rehearsals begin for the Queen and Adam Lambert Summer Tour 2014. Only a few weeks away now!

    Have seen that vid before, luval, but I just spent another 8:15 minutes looking at it again. His face is not just beautiful, but interesting – it’s so alive and full of expression. And that smile – damn.

    The only glimpse of Adam in the 500th episode montage was 1 SECOND LONG. Shame on them. Yet tons of JHo and Stephen Tyler and the current judges. That was supposed to represent 13 seasons???!!

    Probably Blankens’ fault, riskylady – man has a weird sense of proportion. Sorta creepy with his fascination with a 45-year-old, well-preserved woman that he even has her interjected into Alex’s homecoming segment. He really seems more interested in the judges than the contestants.

    ulti – I noticed that too – in the middle of Alex’s homecoming tape, the camera isn’t focused on Alex’s reaction to seeing the tape, it’s focused on JLo – very weird!!

    According to the folks on MJ’s, a curtailed or otherwise messed-with parade video is a dead give-away as to who is going home. Most people guessed, correctly as it turns out, that Alex was toast at that point. The interesting thing is that Alex tweeted a single word “Annoyed” in that time frame. Apparently, he didn’t appreciate it.

    He is ready-made for success based on his existing connections in the industry. He is going to be song-writing with Jason Mraz among other people. Based on his exit interview, he has all of his ducks in a row. Much luck to him.

    So Shoshanna finally put the hopefuls among us out of their misery yesterday afternoon re: Adam’s appearance on the Idol finale. It isn’t happening.

    Several uber-fans at Adamtopia have been parsing her every tweet for clues and she finally confirmed. Last I read, they were weighing whether the timing of the announcement meant that it might have been a possibility right up until this week. Laugh Laugh

    Personally I don’t care when the decision was made, I just wish Adam’s running streak on Idol performances had remained intact. Peace to Roger and Brian, who have better things to do with their time, like announce more concerts. YAY!

    Ron and I added another two films to our continuing RIFF – Ron’s Iresistable Film Festival. We watched “Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte” which scared the heck out of me. Great film.

    My contribution: “Bill Cunninghan – On the Street”. About the 85-year-old fashion photographer for the New York Times, who still has a Sunday Times photo/essay every week. Made us both very nostalgic for that time and place. (Interestingly, his column last Sunday covered the fashions at the Met Gala which is now famous for the Solange/Jay-Zee fight fest.)

    Love the “legs Hammersmith” photo’s ulti. I am glad that he has left the medges behind though. They affect his walk (a bit like Tommy on creepers – delightful little clodhopper). I like Adam better in shoes that accommodate a strong stance. I love it when he sings barefoot as well. A kind of abandon.

    WOW! An impromptu FAB5 and Ron luncheon is on for today. Basically it happened overnight. We are going en masse to Novotel this afternoon to check out the lobby and main areas in anticipation of a major pre-concert party on July 13th. (We are pretty sure that the Saturday night party will be on Pogue Mahone’s patio at Ron’s building the night before, July 12th.)

    ulti, agree about Pers and the montage and JHo. Remember his comment to Slezak, that how could people ever see too much of her? I’ve noticed that some people from the colder climes are fascinated by “exotic” (to them) people from The Latin countries like Puerto Rico, or the Caribbean or Africa. Think he’s in that bubble, totally does not care what the American audience thinks since he pretty much brushed off all of Slezak’s pointed questions.
    Isn’t he the guy that drove Swedish Idol into the ground and cancellation? Doesn’t have a clue about US. Feel bad for the VH1Diva guys that have to work with him.
