Alas, Adam’s time on Glee is over (for this year) but he did find other things to keep himself (and his band) busy in April: a few well-paying private gigs. May (the month not the guitarist) won’t be a month for that though since it is getting to be crunch time and rehearsals begin for the Queen and Adam Lambert Summer Tour 2014. Only a few weeks away now!

    ….STOCKHOLM (AP) — Malik Bendjelloul, the Swedish director of the acclaimed “Searching for Sugar Man” documentary, was widely known for his enthusiasm, kindness and high spirits — so the news Wednesday that he had taken his own life shocked colleagues around the world.

    Bendjelloul’s brother Johar Bendjelloul confirmed to The Associated Press that his 36-year-old younger brother committed suicide Tuesday. He told daily Aftonbladet that his brother had struggled with depression for a short period.

    On Slezak’s top 30 – Glad Haley is up there, but astonished that he gave Candice Glover the top spot. I think Adam should have been top. A change is Gonna Come was pretty amazing too…

    4:32 PM – 110 degrees at my house! (about 20 miles south west of Weho!) Palm Springs, which is always the hottest spot in So. Cal. was about 90 degrees today. It is a mix up world we live in, I am so glad we have AFL as our steady rock. He is always HOT but just right! Sun Rainbow In Love

    That Slezak Top 30 has sent me to performances by Bo and Cookie. I almost forgot how great they were. Bo was and is a true rocker, he was the first Idol I ever voted for. And Cookie, well, he is simply fantastic.

    I think they both paved the way for Adam on Idol.

    Slezak is a true Adam fan, he is always referring to him, but, I think that as spectacular as Mad World was, his best performances were Change, Ring of Fire and Feeling Good.

    In terms of a top 30, I think Change should have been on top.

    Reading twitter about Idol: Why do these people insist on doing songs Adam is known to have done? Do,they really think they can match or even eclipse his versions? Titanium? Stay? Even Michael Orland commented.

    @MichaelOrland: @olivaki agreed. Nobody can touch what we did with Angie and Adam.

    I’m pretty sure JHo and HCJ DO NOT LIKE Adam. Tweets said he was barely shown in the 500th EP montage. Grrrrr.

    Anyway – Jordin’s my favorite female from Idol – she was featured tonight and peeps mentioned how beautiful she was – always wanted her to sing with Adam – two gorgeous performers with spectacular voices.

    Have to check up on Michael Johns, mils – liked him on Idol very much, but never followed him. And isn’t that a great song? Orbison’s death at a relatively young age so sad – great loss.

    Watched Idol only intermittently tonight – sat upstairs and listened to audio from the basement – but I did see this VERY brief pic of Adam and Kris.

    (Coupla peeps said Kris looked older and tired – like a new dad, maybe?)
