Supposedly Craig Ferguson made an Adam Lambert joke last night that wasn’t too funny. Can’t find it anywhere.

Not at all surprised that Adam and Sutan would be big on Diana Vreeland. One of my favourite quotes about her: “DV can make a trip to the drugstore feel like a trip to Europe and a trip to Europe feel like a trip to the drugstore”. How perfect is that?
She was a complete hoot, intentionally and unintentionally. I remember an interview in which she said that the only person in history she would ever want to speak to was Voltaire (and you got the impression that she thought she would have been doing HIM a favour.)
I used to like that Ferguson but I think he’s desperate now that his show is ending.

I’ve often thought that Craig Ferguson was hilarious, he’s a very popular comedian, his shows sell out quickly. I’d like to hear his joke though.
It reminds me of when Leno made this joke : ” My good buddy Adam Lambert has said he’s had straight sex. ..As soon as we find out who the straight guy is, we’ll let you know.”
My take on this is: He’s a household name. He’s well-known enough that he can be a punchline.

Fallon – know I’ve seen bits and pieces of him somewhere – get him mixed up with another Jimmy – whose name I can’t remember – what are the advantages of being on Fallon? Do young people watch him?
Jimmy Fallon was on SNL. He got his own late night show several years ago, built up a huge audience, and then took over for Leno.
He is young , funny, very talented, can sing and does sketch comedy. He is young and trendy, incorporates all social media with great savvy. I watch or record him every day. He has great musical talent on every night.Fallon has record audiences, and his sketches and bits are viral videos.
Jimmy Kimmel has a late night talk show. I personally don’t like him as well, but he is also popular. He had Adam on in his outdoor concert series at the very start of Trespassing.

Just want to add to mils endorsement of Fallon. He is the best thing to happen to late night in years. It would be particularly good for Adam because Jimmy Fallon loves jamming with his musical guests and a heck of a lot of those performances go viral. (Love the one he did with Bruce Springsteen.) I could see the two of them doing something from HAIR, with the words changed to suit the topic of the moment, of course.
Jimmy Kimmel is good, too. Will always appreciate that he tried to keep Adam on his show during the ABC “scandal” and made up for it later.
I would love to have seen Adam on the Colbert Report but not likely to happen now.
I’m still hoping for the Idol finale. Goodness knows Idol need a serious ratings boost. The real issue will be whether Queen can be bothered, given that they are over 80% sold out.
They will probably start rehearsing around that period, because of the iHeart concert, and rehearsals will probably take place in the US because that’s where the tour is. LA seems most likely, for the publicity, but perhaps it will be Chicago? Whatever city it is, there will be a bunch of sightings. The dry spell is ending soon.
I also don’t want to see Adam’s post-Idol streak end: performing every year on the show since he left. (I know he mentored but that’s not the same thing.)
I just have a feeling he will do LMD.

Love Ellen, but hope not. Daytime does nothing for his sales. IMHO.

And it isn’t that Fallon has a great voice but it’s adequate for all these skits. Forgot to add that he’s mentioned several times in interviews that he is as awestruck with these musicians as anyone else. It’s like he’s one of us. He’s also a married with a great marriage and they just had a baby girl Winnie Rose a few months ago.

OMFG – I just read that the last day of the World Cup is July 13th – the same day as Queen + AL concert at ACC!!!!!
Those of you coming to the Toronto concert are going to have a hoot. The city has developed a decades-long tradition of pulling out all the stops for the whole series (very multi-cultural locale plus Canada hasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell of competing in the World Cup.)
No worries about a crush. The game is in Brazil. It will actually be very quiet in the city that day because of the afternoon game. No matter who wins, at about 6:00 p.m., a spontaneous humdinger of a street party will erupt downtown and, as we will be at the bottom of Yonge Street, we will have a very good view of it.
People fly their national flags for three whole weeks. Most people, in fact, pick more than one team and switch allegiances as the field narrows. It’s just a chance to party in the street.

I like those photos from last night. Adam seems to be headed back in the right direction just in time for Queenbert. His hair is a little darker and longer on the sides, and best of all, NO nose ring. All very good things.
