Alas, Adam’s time on Glee is over (for this year) but he did find other things to keep himself (and his band) busy in April: a few well-paying private gigs. May (the month not the guitarist) won’t be a month for that though since it is getting to be crunch time and rehearsals begin for the Queen and Adam Lambert Summer Tour 2014. Only a few weeks away now!

    This video seems like it may in fact be the official video. The video for Wake Me Up does not feature Aloe Blacc. It is also “odd” and “inspirational.”

    If it shows up on MTV, VHI and other places, then this is it.

    Of course, it would be fantastic to see Adam in a video again, but, as for me, I never expected him to be in a video for Avicci. However, I am hoping to hear Elvis Duran promote it, when it is released here. We know Seacrest will.

    Speaking of Elvis Duran, did he interview our guy or not the other night?

    Really don’t think that is an official LMD video, for 2 reasons, 1, Aviciis videos are usually a lot better than that, and 2, it was uploaded on march 15th….long before it was ever announced as a single.

    Just watched the LMD video. There are some nice visuals, especially at the beginning, but I can find absolutely no connection between the content and the song itself (I am not including the parts with the Avicii concerts). I can understand Avicii not wanting Adam featured in the video, it would take away from his own starring role, but shouldn’t there be some connect with the song? Now that I think of it, a lot of the videos lately have nothing to do with the songs, but they are mainly vehicles to show provocative sexual content, which this isn’t.

    Morning. Thanks for that San Fransisco interview re-visit asif.

    Most interesting thing about last night’s script: it was written by Chris Colfer and he must have thrown Elliott in there ‘cos he wants him to come back!!!!!! Elliott can come back – well not this year for obvious reasons – but he can come back!!!!

    BTW, a number of people have commented about the Peter Pan storyline. They think that Chris is actually campaigning for the role in NBC’s upcoming live musical.

    I rather like the Avicii video.

    Perhaps the old man searching is meant to be Avicii. He is surrounded by crowds, adored by millions and experiencing life in living colour. But he is an artist, too, and his energy/creativity has been depleted by the repetition and pointlessness of it. In the end he digs through the parched and barren earth to find a golden seed, which he puts back into what looks likes a fruit that has been broken in half. He has lost or devoured the other half but he has the seed and can regenerate/ create.

    Adam is in the video. He’s the golden seed at the end. Grin

    In the early days of MTV/Much Music, the videos were mini-films and often didn’t feature the artists at all. I loved them; would turn on Much Music on my way to the kitchen first thing in the morning BEFORE I made a cup of tea. It didn’t last long. Bob Geldof made a comment in the early nineties about the new video being “full of stilettos.” Now, most artists make do with VEVO lyric videos.

    Thanks for this info jlurksacto. I have seen “rainbowgal” at some concert or other and wish her well. Matt Baume appears to give a pretty good weekly round-up on the status of marriage equality. A real time saver. Waiting for the Utah/Oklahoma ruling. Hope SCOTUS agrees to hear that case. The 300 couples in marriage limbo give it an urgency that the court has to recognize.

    Avicii’s schedule is crazy. He is on the road doing shows almost every night. People all over him. He was offered champagne in every place/every night and he drank himself away. Probably took energy drinks and drugs to stay ahead of the game. He’s been skip-crashing like a stone on water for over a year.

    The video is a reflection of his state of mind. He’s searching for a stop, a moment, an oasis. A relationship is one of the ways to reach for that. The sexual and the spiritual, the fighting sides of love, are mirrored in the lyrics – “tasty love” and “love is where the heart is” – and in the visuals of frenzied fame and solitary search.

    The verses are as important as the chorus.

    Yes, he did say it is his favourite, rs. Avicii has departed quite a bit from his EDM roots recently. A lot of his fans aren’t happy with the change. LMD will be much more up their alley.

    HK fan thinks it isn’t the official video. If so, then a devoted fan is probably projecting – quite nicely imho.
