After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Just realized I hadn’t pre-ordered Trespassing yet! I haven’t been following the news on the various versions that closely, I ordered the deluxe album from the U.S. Amazon site (to be delivered on May 15th of course). I guess there are going to be a couple of extra tracks, beyond the extra tracks on the U.S. deluxe CD, that will only be on the UK deluxe version?

Yes eywflyer – the US Deluxe version has 15 tracks (3 bonus tracks – Runnin’, Take Back, Nirvana). The UK version has these 15 tracks plus 2 additional bonus tracks (Map, By The Rules), for a total of 17.

I totally agree, Kradamour. I pop by MJs every once in a while to see what’s being said on Adam-related threads, because I enjoy seeing the diversity of opinions. And obviously I like it when Adam is praised there. But I certainly don’t expect him to receive universal praise, especially within the idol bubble, and I’ve totally let go of worrying about criticism he receives at MJs. Being on twitter and following people outside of the idol bubble has broken me of that. And honestly, it’s a minority of people at MJs who criticize Adam anyway. They’re all just opinions. Who cares? Everyone has one. No big whoop. JMHO

Kradamour The Duke is still laughing his fool head off! Ya know-we have a big “French Connection” already! Our daughter is married to a Frenchman and lives in the South of FRance(used to live outside of Paris)and I have 3 bi-lingual grandchildren, the 2 oldest of whom know every word of every song on FYE!!!(Of course, they’re only 9 and 5) Start ’em young, I say. They loved knowing that these were Grandma and Popi’s favorite songs and singer!They listened to the CD constantly every time in the car. Now,they’re waiting for Trespassing! I sent my 9 yr old grandaughter a youtube of “Never Close Our Eyes” and her reply was “J’adore”.I’m sure she likes it for Adam but I told her about the Bruno Mars’ connection too because she really likes Bruno.

Over at the blog from which this one was originally spawned, a comment was made that every station for which Adam has signed to play this summer has spun NCOE. Adam and his people are doing such a great job at getting him out there and visible so far. I keep my fingers crossed that this song catches!

little dutchess – I’m here! Just got back from The Avengers movie – it was very good! Can’t wait for Adam’s songs to be used in movies. Of course, it would be even better if Adam was acting in the movie as well!
Wow – lots and lots of shows and appearances posted upthread. At this point I’m not planning to have a separate concert thread here until the Wilkes-Barre event on May 25th, as the events before that are either single performances (AI, Chelsea Lately), or short sets (MLB Fancave), or radio shows where Adam is not headlining (Chicago, Boston, NYC, Philly). I’m sure the May thread will be quite busy with coverage of all those earlier events!
May 25-27 is going to be a challenging few days to manage. I’m attending the May 25th show, flying back to Florida on May 26th, and won’t be home in Key West until the evening of May 27th. I have a couple of folks who have indicated interest in helping run concert threads, and will very likely be calling on those folks for the May 25th and 26th concert threads. I should be able to run May 27th, but someone else will probably need to post the thread initially. If anyone is interested in helping out, please email me using the site contact link.
Long term, when we are in tour mode with shows several nights a week, I’m going to need at least 3-4 folks besides me who can run concert threads. I’d really like to keep this site as one of the very few with separate concert posts for every show in both the Glam Nation and Trespassing eras, but will definitely need help from you guys to make it happen.
Thank you all so much once again for the generous donations – my costs for site hosting and domain name registration are now covered for quite a while into the future.
I may create recap posts for some of the pre May 25th events, as I did with the Jimmy Kimmel mini-concert, but those will be just static recaps and not live discusssion threads. It’s just easier to keep the discussion for those types of events in the regular monthly chat thread.

It looks as though Lisa Marie Presley may be scheduled to perform on American Idol the same date as Adam. I find this both funny and interesting considering the comparisons to her father that Adam still receives.

dcglam, what got me thinking about that was exactly what you said, wondering which “old” songs he would include on his new tour (whenever that would be…), so I took a little trip down memory lane. I hope he includes Fever and Sleepwalker. He’ll have to sing WWFM, simply because it was his most well known and biggest hit.
The only other songs I re-visit are his LA encores and Sandman.

On another thought, Meatloaf is coming to my town soon. I sure would love to see him, for so many reasons, such nostalgia for his songs.

This weekend I am going to start juicing…son not coming home for the weekend, and the CSA has really kicked in with the leafy greens…I have three HUGE heads of lettuce, plus kale, bok choy…way too much to eat as greens. Mils, Fantasy Springs is the only concert that I will never forgive myself for not attending. It stands alone.
