After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Hi guys!! I’ve been away from you all for a whole week. It was excruciating with all that I knew would be going on in our Adam world. I just got my new modem configured, etc. Now I have tons of stuff to catch up on. The only news that I have heard was on Idol tonight when Ryan mentioned that Adam had displaced Carrie for the #1 spot on Billboard. That made my week!! Way to go Adam (and us)
I’m gone now to try to catch up on the past week here. Later, guys.
ETA: On a positive note, I did get to watch Adam last Thursday on Idol. It was after my modem problems, so I couldn’t comment before now. I loved everything about the performance. The markings on everyone’s faces were great, especially Tommy with the dots around his eyebrow.
And, YES, my Trespassing deluxe CD’s from Barnes and Noble arrived Monday; so I did have that much of Adam to hang onto, even though I couldn’t discuss it with you guys. I will comment later about that.

Trespassing Deluxe moved up iTunes Overall from #20 to #18.
Holding steady on iTunes Pop at #11.
Means that sales are still happening. Media buzz from the BB#1 has been increasing in the afternoon, and BB updates its charts/sites tomorrow formally, which should help too.
I read on Twitter that it moved up on Amazon too.
I am, of course, super excited to be going to London to see Adam with Queen in July, but I am sitting here across the ocean wishing that I could somehow be transported to see him sing his new music NOW! I just hope that things work out and I will get to see him when he tours with Trespassing, if I can hold out that long.

Been watching Idol this evening. Knew Phil would win, I don’t mind, quite like him. I didn’t know ha;f the people on there. The first guy that Phil sang with, Jennifer Holiday,sorry ron, but found it really funny….and not in a good way, and how come Jessica was mimicking her moves and facial expressions??? And neil Diamond, that performance wasn’t the greatest advert for his up coming tour. I actually have a few of his songs on my ipod, was a great singer. Sweet Caroline is a tradition at the HK rugby 7’s every year, sung on the final day by 45,000 people. Last year Neil actually recorded a video message to all the rugby fans in HK that they played just before the song, it was pretty cool. Really didn’t like Fantasia, thats probably only the 3rd time I’ve seen her perform, wasn’t impressed the other times either. And many of the outfits were very dodgy.. Thought Jessica and Hollie sang beautifully though. The ending seemed a bit anticlimatic.
now ontopic….my 10yo has decided she really likes Trespassing, cuckoo and shady, and still loves BTIKM. There the ones she’s asked for on her ipod (although she would like the edited version of cuckoo, I told her there wasn’t one), and this evening I could hear her singing Trespassing word for word in the shower. so sweet.
btw, did anyone catch what Rhianna said at the end of her song, hubby thought it was ‘I love Idol’, but I thought it was ‘I love Adam”….

Ron, this performance gave me chills all over my body. There was a part that toward the end that I thought was a “tiny tad” too much by Jennifer, but I loved the performance too.

I thought so too, ultimathule. There are times when Phillip reminds me of Bob Dylan who was my all time favorite until Adam. Dylan, like Adam, believed that there were so many injustices that needed to be addressed. I never voted this season, but was happy to see P2 get the title. He is not full of himself, and that is one thing I liked about him. Of all the folks on there this season, he was the one whose voice is recognizable from the herd.
Oh, and before I get off here and try to accomplish a few things, I want to say again that I’m so happy for everyone who could get to the Adam radio concerts. I will be looking for deets as they come in. I still have a couple of threads on here from earlier this week that I haven’t finished reading and listening.
So excited for all you peeps going to WB, I’m sure it will be an epic performance given the mood he should be in!
