After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

What’s up with the judges’ tepid responses to him? They — particularly Steven Tyler — were the same way when he did “Aftermath” last year. Are they just refraining from being overly enthusiastic over a guest so as not to overshadow their responses to the contestants?

And I wanted a standing ovation from the judges like they did for Carrie. That’s okay though, Adam and crew were beyond amazingly wonderful!! Love, love, love the bright Trespassing colors. LOL, I had to explain that part to my hubby.
Just got a phone call from an old friend who loves Adam, has never heard this song….she was screaming I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!!!!!She has 2 daughters 18 and 16 that were screaming too (I could hear them in the background). I will be gifting them the album (they didn’t even know it had come out yet LOL). She was worried he’d come out with all “that makeup”. I think she represents most of America. Well that has changed with this performance I think.
And the yellow…..wow!!! Am gonna have to look for that. My friend and her daughter couldn’t believe how gorgeous he looked too.
And my drummer friend says NCOE is an earworm!

My daughter, who loved him on Idol bought some songs on itunes yesterday and her husband was asking me if I knew my “boyfriend” was going to be on Idol. LOL

Anyway I told him to go check out the album on itunes that it was kick-ass. He said he needed some new workout music, so I think he bought some too. This is the son-in-law who went all over a small Texas town 3 years ago to find me the RS issue Adam was on.

I’ll watch it again and again.
So for the first time I saw Adam on TV! I finally turned on the 50″ plasma that we bought a few months ago! Here by myself, it was the perfect situation…I almost feel a recap coming on!
Loved the common thread of yellow dayglo, loved the sound, loved the audience response (not so much the cougars sign however), loved how he owned the stage, loved that Adam was able to be on an over-the-top set even though to be honest I thought that there was almost too much going on with the set. I don’t love this song but this performance made me happy. Like everyone else I had butterflies in my tummy for him…but unlike everyone else here I had to figure out what channel Idol is on, and how to change the channel, so I was pretty occupied before Adam came on and that kept the butterflies at bay…and those first couple of notes made me nervous, it took him those couple of notes (it seemed to me) to really get his game on – and the muscles in his face were tight in the beginning (I always look for that, I teach French and cheek muscles are an important part of correct pronunciation of the vowels) but then relaxed and there was one point just a little bit in where I could almost feel him make the leap into comfort and then I exhaled! (but I could be projecting, of course) and then he was even more amazing.

Too funny how the price of LAWeekly has risen! Like the stock market, I guess, demand fuels price. I am so glad that I contacted them to ask about mail order! The person I talked to couldn’t have been nicer or more gracious, and took my credit card over the phone only after asking me if I was comfortable about giving the information over the phone. Delighted that other peeps could get the issue, too bad about the price inflation but it is a gorgeous issue and I can’t wait to see it “in person”. I was told that mine would go out today.
No FAULT being delivered in my neighborhood, either. sigh. I really hope that we didn’t in fact break them!

Today I spread some joy in my office. My 3 Barnes and Noble CD’s came yesterday, so I gifted them to the ladies in the office who love Adam the most. They were so excited and happy, and were all planning to watch Adam on Idol tonight. I can’t wait to hear their impressions of the CD and his Idol performance tomorrow.
Yes Kradamour looks like another boring, safe, WGWG for Idol. Although I feel like Joshua turns everything into a gospel performance, he should have stayed and P2(Phillip Phillips) should have went home weeks ago. But that is JMO, others here like him.

My honest thoughts and feelings are that Trespassing is an absolute brilliant piece of work. However, only Adam is capable of taking brilliance to an entirely different level with his live performances. He is so jaw-dropping to watch on stage. I know that is what reeled me in hook, line, and sinker three years ago. I feel that the actual cd is only a part of the Adam Lambert Trespassing era and that we are in for such a special treat with every performance of every song.

totally agree, dcglam. Every performance is a different work of art, and that is part of his gift, and it is why peeps went to dozens of performances of GN.
He feeds so perfectly from the energy of the audience – I saw him in a concert hall in Raleigh, a concert hall in Atlanta, a funky venue in Atlanta, a fairly eclectic club in mainstream Norfolk, and a dark and intimate club in Paris. Each time, his performance was perfectly tuned to his audience: the Junior League in Atlanta, the club kids in Paris.
When I had the Paris meet and greet, I posted the same thing about his innate sense of how to interact with each fan: a bear hug, a quick embrace, barely touching. He knew exactly where I like a hand to rest on my hip when being photographed, and just how far to pull me in – perhaps coincidence, but I think that he is just that tuned into the people with whom he interacts.

Great performance – Adam and the Band looked wonderful with the neon yellow touches in their outfits. Smashing jacket, too.
With regard to NCOE – I wish the song started out differently. It starts out high and takes a few seconds to get going – would prefer a more dynamic entry – JMO.
And I like it better when the band is “tighter” around him – on that big a stage it looks a little too spread out.
Those are my only two caveats, however. Both the performance and the pants made me very happy.
