After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

In the brief time we’ll have together, I hope I’ll be able to let the little boy, who still feels like a freak and an outsider from High School, know: You did it. You made it. You’re a success. You’re talent is now recognized, appreciated and admired the world over.

Deluxe still holding at #1 on iTunes overall
Standard at #12 iTunes pop (was #10 earlier), out of top 100 overall (was as high as the upper 30s earlier)
Amazon up to #5 (from #10 this afternoon)

Interesting patterns this evening. iTunes peeps really want those bonus tracks! The climb from 10 to 5 on Amazon this evening tells me two things: great word of mouth is having an effect, and iTunes downloaders now want the physical CD. I would think a lot of these new Amazon orders are from outside the fanbase as most of us would have ordered our hard copy CDs before now.

glitterpatti I got to play the CD in the car this afternoon and had to make adjustments. BASS was too overpowering where I usually have it so lowered it by a notch or two. Then it sounded perfect! Otherwise, the dash was vibrating!

The show was simply fantastic. Adam looked and sounded amazing!! No hints at all of “vocal chord blowout” or whatever Adam was supposed to have.
I will post a detailed recap tomorrow. I need to go back and look at the vids for the details—my mind is still in an Adam induced haze!!!!!!

I posted about Adam’s voice over at MJ’s, I couldn’t help myself. He did sound strained during the Billboard interview. He then had to sound check MLB, perform and maybe had more interviews before MLB. He tweeted that he left MLB quickly, and probably did not go out clubbing in NY, which would be unusual for him.
He did not “Blow out his voice”. That is too harsh a statement ( Larry Flick). He sounded strained. Needed vocal rest and hydration. The show today sounded great. Not a lot of vocal runs, letting Tommy jam, and the back up gals helped fill in a lot. I’m glad he has them. It takes some of the burden off him.
Got my Amazon CD tonight during dinner in a huge thunderstorm, complete with hail! Very dramatic.
Tomorrow is driving day with my CD. I’m sure my “dashboard” will be vibrating!

He is so deserving of all of this. I downloaded the deluxe album off I-tunes today while I am waiting for the 5 cd’s I ordered from Barnes and Noble and had my daughter listen. She likes Adam but is not as obsessed as I am. She loves Underneath, says it gives her chills. She liked Cuckoo, BTIKM, NCOE & Chokehold. She was not too fond of the other electronic dance songs because she thinks that it drowns out Adams amazing voice, but understands that its what is on radio today. But she said to like that many songs on any 1 album says a lot, since most of the time there is only 1 or 2 on a cd that you are really going to like and she is right. I myself like all of them but I hate to say this , I just really do not like Kickin in, I really love the rest and I cannot get “runnin “out of my head, it is so different and I love it along with a lot of other tracks. I hope this will skyrocket Adam to the superstar that he is!
Does anyone know who is the biggest retailer of CD? Walmart? BestBuy? I keep on hearing that Amazon sales are small,iTunes is primarily singles seller etc.

I was like kradamour locked away in the dungeon all day, and just now finished catching up. This day just exceeded all my expectations and I feel so relieved that Trespassing is off to such a good start. If I was religious, I’d say Halleluja! Since I’m not I just say thanks to the universe! I just now notice how much I have worried about this darn album.
I only heard a bit of the IHeartRadio performances, but I think Shady, Chokehold, Cuckoo, and Broken English sounded fantastic live. I love Kickin’ In on the album, it didn’t seem to quite work out here, but I am sure he will rethink the live version until it kicks a&& like it should.

Oh Ya, those live preformances beat the album already. He adds stuff in them, they are sooo much better live. I LOVE the break in the middle of Broken English with Tommy playing it was so good. And nothing beats watching Adam singing. Its what I loose while listening to the album. He adds so much to the songs with his face expressions and jesters. HaHa, I didnt see any grabbing tho, lol.
What a great Adam day, This will always have to be Adam Day, or what ever we can call it. Nite all, such a good day and many more to come! We’ve stuck by our guy for over 3 years thru thick and thin and we all are now rewarded!!!!!!

Best Day Ever! Been driving around for hours just listening and loving and singing. My husband caught me singing in the parking lot of the Chinese restaurant, and now is sure I have lost it! I guess I am Cuckoo Coco! Adam was on the fromt page of the calendar section in the LA Times today(big positive article), and a concert announced in Costa Mesa(right near us!) Best Day!!

Btw, I just LOVE the new arrangement of WWFM – it’s soooo pretty, has a different more ballady vibe.
Also love Tommy’s guitar work in BE, very very nice! Not strident or attention hogging at all, just really complementary to the song.
Only one complaint: In BE, I want ADAM to sing the line “better just read my lips,” NOT the divas. Just a minor detail – maybe he was just resting the voice as much as possible. Even so, he sounded GREAT!!!
I’m thinking Adam may have had the same food poisoning that Brian London had, never saw him take off like that from a performance. He must have been feeling really bad. But such a pro to put on such a good show today.
Also – sooooo much stress. When you sing, exec produce, control artwork, everything, you have so much riding on the line. I am so happy for him tonight for all the good reviews (not just the metacritic ones) plus the great showing on iTunes, Amazon, B&N. RCA should be very pleased.
I just got up and saw this, so forgive me if someone else has already answered. I could never go back and find it again, but there was an audio clip from a Larry Flick who was announcing the special Memorial Day mini concert that Adam recorded for him in the studio a while back. Adam was supposed to come in for an interview the morning after the Good Morning America show and Adam cancelled because “he blew his voice”
Hi, rs – yes – I just posted that soundcloud up above where Larry, the Sirius dj, said that. The whole thing was really interesting as he spoke about the Memorial Day concert that he’s putting on the air with six songs that Adam sang for them. Loved the part where he said Adam just came into the studio – met the musicians – discussed some things – and then just sang all songs straight through. It’s fun to listen since there’s someone in the background agreeing with him and laughing at Larry’s remarks about Lee DeWyze’s time with them – really funny.
Apparently this May 26 concert has been kept a secret – intrigued by what Larry says about a couple of songs “off the cuff.” Mmmm – something we’ve never heard him sing before? Really looking forward to this one.
P.S. Adam didn’t “blow his voice” – that was just an exaggeration. He’s been doing so much stuff – could be he just wanted to rest.

Dear rs – I’m still exhilarated from Adam Day – #1 on iTunes – just watched the Vimeo iHeart concert again.
That soundcloud is really funny – listened to that guy giggling in the background and cracked up again.
I know the feeling. I just went down and checked the mailbox. No mail has been delivered to the whole building for three days! Don’t know what is happening. The CD might be sitting at the post office right now. Maybe the mail will come later. It is erratic. At least I downloaded the i-tunes version yesterday.
Been fun watching Adam change up the songs, and it’s good he’s getting these concerts to get a feel for what works.
In the iHeart vids, every once in a while, the lights flash into Adam’s eyes and you can suddenly see how blue they are. His face is so expressive – fascinating to watch.
So cute how he loves his jackets – think they make him feel even more powerful. Even as a female, when I wear a suit, feel different. In many a way, clothes do make the man.
Keep thinking how happy he must feel about the acceptance of his music today – just so wonderful for both him and all of us who love him.
I also love the arrangement for WWFM. It was really pretty and a nice change. (Not my favorite song)
I also noticed Tommy’s guitar, reminded me a little of Eric Clapton’s style, deliberate notes and not just electrified noise, if that makes sense.
