After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Interesting that EW has reprinted an article about Adam, as he was preparing for his Kimmel appearance, that was published two issues ago but is now on their website front page as “new” news.

It makes all the difference in the world, doesn’t it? I bought my first pair of headphones that I’ve ever owned just last week for this CD. I can’t get over how clearly I can now hear the layers upon layers of his voice. The textures of the music is even more incredible when you have that direct sound in your ears.
I’m listening to it on my headphones right now.
eywflyer and others who understand these things, how do these fantastic numbers translate into the album sales that you have been talking about for the past few days? Is it possible to make any kind of prediction? I seem to remember numbers like 40,000-100,000 being thrown around. Thanks

Somebody upthread asked about Octavia, I saw somewhere that she had tweeted that she had to bow out because after Kimmel she realized she couldn’t keep up physically and was going to focus on weight loss and feeling better. She said it took not being able to work her dream job to come to this reality. The new gal is her BFF. Sadz. But, I hope she can reach another goal and have a healthier life.

Oh, the things we do for this guy! Ha. Just got back from a 35 min. ride to my locale Walmart in the pouring rain,only to find this album not listed with the new music at the beginning of the isle. Instead it was down the row,with that bastard album first. So I fixed that problem. There was only 1 Deluxe, which I bought, and just 2 non deluxe. Next time I go I will proceed to move them to the front of the isle with the new music. As much as I love Adele, I don’t think she should have the entire top row to herself, her albums not new anymore.

The (crazy) train to NYC leaves at 12:35 and arrives at Penn Station at 3:30. Don’t know how far it is to get to Tribeca. Of course I do thank jlurksacto very much for thinking of me but it was TLKC who phoned and told me to RUN, RUN to HMV and that she would meet me there. I wasn’t dressed! I must have looked like Samantha on “Bewitched” moving triple time to put my clothes on. When I got outside, I wasn’t sure I was completely clothed! I DID run, which is a sight in itself, to the main HMV store in Toronto. Bottom line, I ran to the wrong store but I didn’t realize this at the time! Salesman wasn’t aware of any meet ‘n greet contest in any of their HMV branches. So, I came home, got completely undressed and the phone rings. It’s TLKC and she’s at the right store and wondering where I am. When I told her what I did and explained I wasn’t getting dressed again and wasn’t going to go back out, she said that I just HAD to!! I told her I would think about it.
Five minutes later, phone rings. It’s TLKC. Understand, you MUST show up in person in order to get the meet ‘n greet. TLKC told me that she told the employee all about me … love Adam, big fan, etc. … and he made an exception in my case (and not to tell anyone else!) and issued the meet ‘n greet for me!
This is what I meant earlier when I said “unbelievable”. My unbelievably thoughtful friend TLKC who wanted me SO MUCH to meet Adam and a kind and understanding salesperson have both made this a very happy … and very lucky! … day. I’m thrilled!
Now … what to wear?!

My CD and My Box Sex are still on the truck, out for delivery. I am at work so it should be there when I get home. I downloaded from AO this morning and I agree about the headphones, I only have cheap earbuds but I could hear some amazing sounds even with just those. Loving all the songs and all the nuances and differences from the snippets.
OMG Ron, I am so glad for you!!!! and this is the perfect way to meet him, in a small event, rather than the cattle call before a concert!

Ron – Thanks for sharing your story – yes, definitely unbelievable!! I’m sitting here smiling and laughing to myself with tears in my eyes (I’m also listening to Underneath). Here’s my story from this morning for your entertainment. When I found out from csesq around 9:30 that she hadn’t heard about tickets, I figured that I wouldn’t be able to go (for some reason, I still strongly felt that csesq was going to win tickets). Then she won and it was 11:30 and I hadn’t gotten a shower so I said it probably wouldn’t work out. But I checked on Amtrak, took a quick shower and got right back on the computer for any update. I then posted the white flag at 12:13. I read cgesq’s post that she found someone to go with(yea!) and then yours. Still sitting here in my towel. Time to get dressed!!

When I walked into the “wrong” HMV, there’s this ENORMOUS, I mean HUGE, poster of Adam directly facing you as you enter the store and “Broken English” was blaring over their sound system.
