After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

In fact, our school production this week is on “The Laramie Project” about Matthew Shepard. I can’t go, but it is getting a lot of positive word of mouth.

Let’s just say that not only did their little eyes see things in a porn nature that even my adult eyes had never seen, or heard of for that matter, but, our computer got sooooooooo infected, we had to have it cleansed, purged, get new security systems, and re-load as if starting up all over again.

Love all these articles and interviews. Wasn’t too impressed with Chelsea Lately. Definitely too much gay, and agree with the cutting him off when he was speaking, but at least she got a plug in holding up the cd and the release date.

Republican primary presidential debate?
Pretty conservative city…I would be very surprised if there is an LGBT center here…I’m leaning toward the college campus…might win over a few new fans. Would have to be in stealth mode, though. Of course, if I get diagnosed with a terminal illness, I’ll just box everything up and mail all the adamphernalia to kradamour!

Is there a teen rec center? They are also good to donate to high schools for the post prom party raffles and giveaways.
Some libraries have teen areas where peeps can donate music and books, they don’t get checked into the system, they are just for taking/sharing.

I actually had kale juice for supper. I took 5 big leaves of kale, 2 carrots, a stalk of celery, 3 big red lettuce leaves, some jicama (good idea, mils!), an apple, some ginger, and WOW! Very tasty. I think the key is to outnumber the kale, but it adds a nice flavor if used in moderation.

Son just came home from college in a blather over Obama’s statement in support of gay marriage. How did I raise a bigot? and he is anything but homophobic – he even went through a period when he thought he was gay, had a strong and passionate relationship with a very charismatic young man – as well as some briefer less serious ones, before working through all his feelings and ending up in Straightworld. I’ll win him over. He finally said to please send him the paper I wrote about same sex marriage and said he will read it.
My guess is that I’ll win him over by Monday.

Darn! the Chelsea Lately vid has been taken down. Wanted to watch again – I actually thought Adam was enjoying himself, his body language was very open and relaxed. He likes strong kickass women – Michelle Collins gets the same response from him.
I was struck by Chelsea’s identical comment to him re being gay: So how is that working out for you? Difference, of course, is that Michelle Collins asked it over two years ago, but Adam still seemed to be amused. I think the two women are very similar, Chelsea’s humor being a bit dryer but they could easily use the same writers and deliver a similar product.

The email I got yesterday from B&N said that the album would be shipped on May 15th and would take 2-6 working days. Shoot! I will surely die an album virgin if I have to wait that long. But I got much better news today. Both my AO album and my 3 B&N albums shipped today. No word from Amazon yet. My husband gets the mail every day but Wednesday when I’m off from work. I hope they don’t all arrive at once on Tuesday. I will get some serious eye rolling from him if that happens (and I’ll fall over laughing).

Introduced hubby to two tracks, Runnin and Underneath , he liked them both. Now,he’s a fan of Yanni type music mind you, he liked Nirvana best.
Where he hails from, he grew up listening to Middle Eastern music, Euro-disco, and he likes the sound of a lot of this album. He is not a rock fan.

Just had a discussion with my sons today about the risks of posting crap on the internet. The damage it can do, the permanency of it. Kids these days just post everything, with no cares.
They would rather take a picture of a person laying in the street and post it on Facebook than DO something to help the person.
I’m not talking about my kids, I’m talking in general. My kids don’t have the interwebs on their phones. Not necessary. I have heard and seen so much crap that high school and college age kids do in the last few years. Media is changing every single interaction.
So, the ones who are spreading “that” picture can’t think beyond the instant gratification of spreading a “funny” picture. Sad.

I know that a lot of you didn’t like Adam’s interview on Chelsea Lately, but I have watched it a few times now, and I have to tell you, considering the setting, it was really great! We have to remember that her show is on MTV, not ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX. Her guest comedians are often gay and there is a lot of talk about gay stuff on the show. She is hugely popular and I think that her book was the #1 best seller in the States for a while. I occasionally see her interviews when the guest is someone I am interested and I am usually frustrated because they are always very short and she seems to use the interviews as a platform for her own jokes and to highlight herself. I even watched the one that Adam mentioned with Pharrell, and it was more about him interacting with her than about him.
Anyway, look at Adam’s interview. Sure, she cut him off about Seacrest, but he did say that he was out the whole time he was on Idol. She called him a “huge popstar”. She mentioned the Grammy nomination and the 2 million copies of FYE sold. I didn’t like her “rape” comment either, but it led to him saying that they are “pretty vanilla” and his comment that while he is writing from a first person perspective he is trying to write songs that anyone can relate to. “Yeah, I’m the gay guy who was on American Idol, but I’m also the human guy that sings.” And with that he drew her in to HIS agenda and she answered “Music should be that”. After that, she really let him talk, mostly listening (which she never does), asking questions, and just making a few funny comments. She was really interested in him. They talked about working with Pharrell, the Queen concerts and the one with Elton, that Elton invited him to sit at his table, and, of course, juicing.
He came across as gorgeous, articulate, funny, thoughtful, and engaging. He wasn’t a self centered ego, he related to how she looked and previous interviews that he had seen. The only better thing would have been to hear him sing, but that never happens on her show. I think that this interview most certainly piqued the interest of some nonfans to go and check out the album, and that is what it is all about, isn’t it.

Chelsea’s show is what it is and it’s fairly popular on E!.
I thought she was respectful of Adam and she likes him since the AMAs. Before that they were using him in their jokes, but she then stood up for him. I will always thank her for that show of support. The rest is all schtick.
Of course, I always want everyone else to shut up and let Adam talk, cause we like to hear him!
I just read through yesterday’s Headline thread on MJs and there was a lot of talk about the EW review. Amazing that some people just saw the positive aspects of it and weren’t bothered by the homophobia. Anyway, so far, MJ hasn’t deleted the posts, so we’ll see.
