After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Our featured photo for this month’s chat comes from Adam’s mini-concert of April 26th on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

It’s going to be an exciting month as we begin the Trespassing era, enjoy the chat!

Then I’ll move into my car for the next few days and listen to the CD continuously on the good sound system. (That’s even better than having sex in the car.)

mmm222, you may feel like you had sex in the car after listening to the cd with all that panting and moaning!

It seems as if we’re all going to be in our cars listening.
Wave if you see me, but you won’t cuz I’ll be in the backseat! Wink

ETA First post on the page. A stupid one of course!
But that’s most of my posts!

  2. ultimathule says:

Hi, dcglam – count me in for the Cadillac Ranch Restaurant, along with my sister and two of my daughters. If the count gets too unwieldy, maybe two tables? Gonna be a great group!

  3. milwlovesadam says:

And, to me, Nirvana is a culmination of his Hair experiences, his astral love, and Goldfrapp. It’s very hippie, vibey. Love it.

  4. milwlovesadam says:

nkd, when I get my CD I’m planning a car trip. All by myself. Well, I won’t be alone. I’ll have Adam to keep me company. I’m planning on driving to my favorite Lake Michigan beach. Then, when I get there, I’ll sit in my car by the water and blast some more. Take a walk and then drive home blasting.

    Sounds wonderful doesn’t it?

  5. nkd says:

Nirvana makes me think of Adam and Sauli in Bora Bora.
I love it too. His voice on that track is nirvana.

  6. nkd says:

It sounds great mils. Where can I go? Thinking.

  7. nkd says:

That wail in Pop That Lock. OMG! It’s fabuloso!

  8. dcglam says:

Ultimathule, thanks for letting me know, so I can add your names. I’m calling the restaurant tomorrow. Wink

  9. ultimathule says:

Nirvana is a beautiful, floating-in-space, moonlit lullaby – almost childlike dreaming suffuses the track. Pure magic.

  10. milwlovesadam says:

Yup. Nirvana is Goldfrappy and dreamy and trippy and Hair-y, and tribe-y, and I love it.

I can’t pick a favorite. I honestly love every single song.

Album of the year. Four stars from RS. Wow.

  11. nkd says:
  12. milwlovesadam says:

And, with Nirvana in my head, off to bed!

  13. milwlovesadam says:

    Well, one more.

I just wonder, if any current divas have been listening. And just shitting themselves with jealousy over this masterpiece.

Oh. to be a fly on the wall…

And, I also wonder if anyone, any one artist will give him a shout out on twitter, like he does with so many.

  14. turquoisewaters says:

What a day. I want to wish you all sweet Nirvana dreams. The Bora Bora kind that nkd mentioned.

  15. Ron says:

    Hi nkd!

I read that review earlier. I 100% agree with the reviewer when he says the only complaint he has is the cover photo. I don’t like it either. I don’t think it particularly looks like Adam. How many countless photos have we seen where he’s looked “striking” and that’s not the word I’d use for the album cover.

But, it’s what’s “Underneath”, inside that counts and there isn’t a song that I don’t like. There’s always been one or a few songs on every album I’ve ever purchased that I didn’t care for or didn’t like at all. Not so with “Trespassing”. I like them all! I think that’s a first for me.

    Yawn Good night Yawn

  16. turquoisewaters says:

The BTIKM cover is devastatingly handsome, and I would have loved it for the album.
On the other hand, the album cover says “welcome to my world of truth” because Adam is looking straight at you. For the same reason also gives the impression of more danger, more f**k you attitude. I think it does represent the album well.
In this side-by-side http://cbs947freshfm.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/adam-and-justin.jpg I see a certain similarity between Adam and Bieber. Not just the hair, but also the jawline/mouth. Plus Bieber looks like he is looking at his big brother Adam for protection/advice/singing tips??

    Hi Ron! Good night Ron!

Sparkle toes picture walking on water is pretty awesome, but maybe not Trespass-y enough!

  19. HK fan says:

I can’t believe noone has mentioned the bit in the RS article where he admits to sleeping with a woman……maybe kradamour? was right with the Keisha thoughts…
Another one crossed off his bucket list!

Still loving all these positive reviews. Getting nervous about the sales numbers now though…

  20. nkd says:

Jimmy Kimmel repeating on Monday 5/14. Perfect timing!

  21. HK fan says:

as to Adam liking Beibers ‘Boyfriend”. I definitely can’t agree with him on that, tried listening to it once, thought it was awful (and I don’t hate Beiber, actually have a lot of his songs on my ipod…), then told my daughter whos a fan that I had downloaded it ready to go on her ipod, and she said, its horrible, don’t like it….

  22. nkd says:

HK fan, I think we knew that he had slept with a woman. He answered that in an interview somewhere( or maybe in a twitter party). It must have been during or just after GNT(the shagging not the interview).

Y’all can find me in the corner. I’ve redecorated for Trespassing!

  23. nkd says:

We talked about the RS review and article but no one said anything about this bit.

“I had a lollipop in my mouth, and he kind of smiled at me, so I took the lollipop out of my mouth and put it in his mouth,” Lambert says. “I was like, ‘He’s open-minded!’”

C’mon, he took a lollipop out of his mouth and put it in Sauli’s because he smiled at him! That image is just cute and hot!

  24. cwm says:

What a day. Awesome reviews, 4-star RS rating, articles with all kinds of juicy details (lollipop anyone?). Wow.

So I’ve decided to listen to the AO livestream. Everyone is in bed, I’m cozied up with my laptop and earbuds, and in I go. If you don’t hear from me in a couple of hours, send emergency personnel.

On second thought, don’t. I’ll probably be in Nirvana.

  25. nkd says:
  26. cwm says:

Wow. I’m not even sure what to say. Except that I just went to aural heaven. I closed my eyes through the whole thing and just let the sound wash over me, letting the emotions and the music and the rhythms take me wherever they wanted to go. Amazing.

  27. cwm says:

haha ndk now you tell me! Seriously, though, thanks. I did notice some little clicks and skips in the AO stream. So next time (in the morning?) I’ll listen to the French stream. Equal opportunity streaming!

The album really is a feast. And I can’t wait to hear it with HQ sound. It’s gonna blow our minds.

Wow, Adam totally delivered on his promise. Did he ever.

  28. nkd says:

HQ is gonna kill! I can’t wait!

I love some of the transitions from song to song, such as when NCOE ends with NEVER, then Kickin In starts with “ever come on, ever come on…”

These are so cooool! I love watching this process!

  30. eywflyer says:

Just listened to the entire album straight through again on AO. If merit means anything in the music world these days, Trespassing deserves to be the smash breakthrough album that launches Adam on a long career. This is an amazing work of art. Listening to it in full, in the intended order, I can hardly find a track I don’t like, and am absolutely in love with most of them. Even tracks that left me cold initially when heard in isolation come across totally different when heard in context.

None of us know what will happen next week with the sales, but the rave reviews are certainly well deserved.

  31. adamized says:

ultimathule glad you will be joining us and we will get to meet a small part of your large family.

Nile Rodgers has to be one of the coolest guys ever! Love that he waited to share at the absolutely best time.

  32. turquoisewaters says:

HKfan: I remember this interview re being with a woman. There is a better video, but for now this is what I found. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuzZhOIfV_M

  33. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Good morning everyone! What an unforgettable day yesterday was – topped off with a huge dollop of RS Star Star Star Star whipped cream. In Love Thanks to everyone who consistently brings over the link-treats!

It’s so funny for me to read that some are disappointed with the album cover! For me, it’s 100% stop-you-in-your-tracks, dare-you-to-look-away (without buying his CD) gorgeous! Also IMO, Adam is taking full advantage of one of his assets – his glorious eyes, lips, hair, nose, chin-line, (where do I stop??) Anyway, I love you Ron, but have to disagree with you on this one. Heart Rose Heart Anyway, if the Beebs likes it (which he obviously does), then it must be fab, right?

Can’t wait to see Adam on my store shelves next week!! Or better yet, maybe an end-cap display with great Trespassing posters and the shelves will be empty – because they’re sold out!

nkd, are you in the back seat again? Something tells me that you and your hubbie may need a chaperone next week…

  34. ultimathule says:

The album stream thread at MJs hasn’t, to my knowledge, been infested with the usual Adam critics – guess they gave up after listening to the tracks.

  35. Ron says:

    Good Morning,

Adamized, welcome home! Your trip sounded wonderful and I’m so glad you enjoyed yourself. Very happy for you that you have the upcoming dinner plans to look forward to and will be seeing Adam again!

Okay troops, gather ’round. Grin This is about an everyday young man on YouTube giving a mini-review of Trespassing. He’s not mean, he’s not nasty, he’s just expressing his thoughts which aren’t favorable. That’s fine. He’s allowed to have an opinion. I was okay with what he was saying until the very last sentence … actually, the very last word.

Thing is, instead of clicking on the thumbs-down button, I accidentally clicked on the thumbs-up. It’s directly below the start button for the video so it’s an easy enough thing to do.

So everyone storm over there and click on thumbs-down to compensate for my blunder, okay? ROTFL I never leave comments on YouTube but this time, I did.

Let’s see if we can steer this misguided person towards the light. Grin Grin

He actually seems like a nice guy:

  36. Kradamour says:

I can appreciate a well produced track, and I can forgive an auto-tuned voice to within an inch of an artists life (it happens all to often these days after all) but give me an exceptionally produced beat and ferocious lyrics that however insane place second to a voice like Adam Lambert’s and I go all kinds of CUCKOO! You could strip each track away on Trespassing, leaving nothing but bone and cartilage, and Adam Lambert’s pipes will still sell that sh*t like it’s a prime cut of beef!

Loved this quote from the interview nekkid posted above.
    Exactly.
And I thought it was interesting that he compared Adam so unapologeticaly to the pop divas. THAT is his competition, to my mind.

Nice to be at school where I have no access to any streams and can’t be tempted!
I just love each of y’all’s posts where you say that you love EVERY one of the tracks! I can’t remember an album in my lifetime that I have heard that so often by so many peeps.

Please, please, Universe, let this translate into sales. Air play. Singles. Acceptance. A burial, once and deep and for all time, of the AMAs.

    Hi ulti!

I can never remember this particular poster on MJ’s username! Maybe you’ll know who I mean when I say “Marcus” with a last name too but that’s not it. It’s Marcuscurio – that’s not it either.

Anyway, his early post was deleted as were the follow up responses. He commented: “Thank God the live streams have been leaked so that I can hear the worst album I’ve ever heard in my life”. As if he really listened to it. I don’t know why he bothers when his posts are always deleted. He’s an example of someone being nasty just for the sake of being nasty.

  38. Kradamour says:

    Ron, I can’t! I’m trapped at school!
Will add my thumbs down as soon as I get home, though.

  39. milwlovesadam says:

I’m loving all the positive press. I’m loving positiveness even at MJ’s. Just loving this.

I wish RS hadn’t gone to the AMA’s. Even with a four star review, it just takes us back 3 years and so much goodness has happened since then. They could have talked about his charity work and numerous awards in that valuable print space instead. It’s like even Rolling Stone won’t let him just f*cking move forward.

  40. luval says:

I don’t know anyone who reads Rolling Stone except a few of us here and some musicians I know. Thank goodness because I’ve run out of explanations about the AMA’s in that article as we talked about last night. Stupid stupid stupid on RS’s part.

  41. Miss Chaos says:

I shutter when I think of the AMAs, he has come such a long time since then. Would things be different if he had preformed like a nice boy at the AMAs? I wonder. I dont know what was going thru his head when he preformed at that show, but it did knock him for a loop afterword. We will never know unless he writes his life story, or maybe he is too old, since Beiber and Archie did theirs already. J/K. Anyhow it brought us to this place, and I hope and pray next week he gets all the praise he deserves. This just has to be the reason for everything that went down with him, to come to this place!!!!!
I am still holding off listening to the album, I almost caved on Runnin, and clicked on it, but held off. I want to wait to hear the whole thing on my great earphones, when no one can bother me, and I can get my whole first impression of everything.
I also noticed that MJs thread for the streaming was quite nice, not a bad comment that I read, and a lot of interesting comments, as it should be. Maybe the haters are secretly listening to it, and are still trying to get something negative to say, but cant form the words!!!!hehe

  42. milwlovesadam says:

I’m not going to that YouTube Ron. Sorry. I don’t wanna give him the hits. If that vid gets infested with Glamberts pounding on him it just adds fuel to the fire. I say, let him wallow in his own pool of negativity.

About the lollipop, OMG. How sexaaay is that? Dirty, shady, indeed.

About the “woman.” I think it did happen towards the end of GNT. He said before the GNT that he hadn’t. The way he was so quiet and coy in that interview ( That’s the “gay” DJ and station in Canada, right?) suggests that he really didn’t want to talk about it, to me, for two reasons 1) It really is very private and 2) he really felt awkward being asked and it probably wasn’t very good for him. His reaction was unlike our usual Adam. So either he was being very much a gentleman, or, he just really didn’t want to talk about it. I’m glad those DJ’s didn’t press on further and ask who he slept with. It really is nobody’s business, not even ours. LOL.

    {{{ pssst: I still think it was Kesha. Paris. }}}

  43. rs says:

So I have been listening and listening and listening to the album and the track that constantly surprises me is Runnin. At first I couldn’t believe that it was Adam singing. Not just the lower register; we have heard him sing that low before, but the voice just sounds different. On multiple hearings, I really love it, but I get a jolt at the beginning every time when I hear the voice. I have to say that my imagination starts flying as the song soars and I see open plains and horses galloping and I could so see this as a track for a Western movie or a TV series. Remember those pics of Adam and Sauli at Katy P’s birthday party? Somehow I don’t hear it on radio, but what do I know?

And I have to share that I “forced” my friend to listen to the album in my car on the way to and from the Scrabble club last night. We sat in the car until it was over. Now this is a 73 year young woman whose favorite songer is Louie Armstrong, but she has been listening to Adam in the car with me for a couple of years now. She has no choice if she wants a ride. His music isn’t her style, but she appreciates his voice and loved things like Come to Me Bend To Me. Anyway, she thought the album was great! While she prefers the second half, the dance tracks got her moving and bopping her head. She loved Underneath and Nirvana, but her very favorite is Outlaws of Love. Her one question was whether, since the songs seem so sophisticated and cerebral, are they catchy enough for the young kids today? I told her that the dance ones are and that I wake up every morning with one or another of them in my head. She said “but that is you!”

  44. Kradamour says:

    {{{pssst: me, too. Smile}}}
And I hope that it was nice, and affectionate, and not awkward. I think it would be hard to be awkward with Kesha, who has been just as open about her lack of confidence as Adam. She seems like a warm and decent girl who could be trusted to keep a secret.
    As could Adam.

  45. Kradamour says:

I’m not going to that YouTube Ron. Sorry. I don’t wanna give him the hits.

sigh. Always the dilemma, isn’t it? Frown

  46. Ron says:

ROTFL I really didn’t expect anyone to follow my YouTube link. Well, maybe one to counter my mistaken thumbs up. Wink But no, I was really kidding. He prefers rock star Adam as many people do so he’s not going to like a dance-y, pop album. He ends his “review” though by singling out the song “Trespassing” and says that Adam “kinda sounds like Michael Jackson and kinda sounds … stupid”.

Now, “stupid” is a word I’ve never heard associated with Adam Lambert so it kinda got my dander up. That sounds rather lewd, I know, but it’s not. Smile

  47. rs says:

ron, I countered your thumbs up with a thumbs down. That “stupid” comment was just so uncalled for and…well….unintelligent.

  48. mieps says:

Hi Ron, your favourite poster’s name is Maurizio something or other. I didn’t realize his posts were removed, but good on MJ. The one that mentioned Adam beating up a model was removed as well, luckily.

I did see the youtube video (1 like (!!!), 6 dislikes). I agree that he just prefers rock Adam. It looks like he wasn’t going to say the last line, or maybe it was an afterthought. Pity, ’cause it will get reactions. The top video’s of his (to the side) had less than 30 hits, so chances are not too many people will see it.

  49. ultimathule says:

Couldn’t help myself – after the “stupid” comment had to give a thumbs down. Promise not to go back.

  50. milwlovesadam says:

Ahem. I’m sure the “encounter” wasn’t awkward, I was referring to the DJ’s mentioning it and causing Adam to feel awkward. I have a feeling that nothing Adam does in that department could ever be considered awkward!!

Whoever that lady was, ….OMG. I’m in the corner.
