After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

I love the several mentions/reviews I have seen with the words “album of the year”…
On another topic, Glamour magazine has a photo of Keisha in a black swimsuit with the caption that she looks like a supermodel. Remember that AWFUL photo last summer that made her look like a flabby middle-aged woman in a swimsuit? it made me feel terrible for her (I really like Keisha). I still shake my head over that photo, I honestly can’t imagine how it managed to make her look so terrible. I can’t help feeling that it probably hurt her and it was just gratuitous. I hope that she sees the Glamour pic this month.
And this is silly, but I wanted her to be beautiful for Adam. Can’t believe I even said that. But if they were in fact together (and we speculate that they were), I hope that it was a quality experience for them both, and I suspect that it was, for all the right reasons. And now I am leaving that topic, which is NONE of my business except that I want every part of Adam’s life to be good. Okay all done.

Funny, kradamour!!!! That has happened to me several times. Then, to make matters worse, no one posts for a couple of hours. So I start wondering if I REALLY said something stupid.
Regarding your post, kradamour, at one point we thought “that” was maybe in his bucket list of Top 5 things. I wonder if anyone has asked him lately about his bucket list.

Yes and I guess we all know the success in sales and at the Grammys that Adele enjoyed and continues to enjoy. Not saying the same thing will happen to Adam but it’s a step in the right direction. Here’s hoping!
BTW, did you know that Adele continues to sell 100,000 CD’s each week with her February release of “21”?! In a way, Adam will be competing with her, and Lisa Marie Presley, for sales on May 15th. TLKC pointed this out to me yesterday or I otherwise never would have realized it. Interesting.
And Adele has had a nice selection of singles released from 21. I love “Rumor Has It”…that drumbeat vibe…yum.

I just know that I will rub in this RS 4-star-rating for a long time to come if anyone talks smack about Adam.

I just got the May 10 issue a day or two ago. RS is pretty close to the actual date, unlike a lot of other mags.
AS many have said the praise just must turn into sales. Ok 4 stars…critical acclaim but it has to be popular with the public too. Radio play radio play. And I could care less about VH1. Yeah, I’ll vote if they decide to play his video but it’s rigged and I’m sick of it. I’m in a mood tonight.
I felt that’s what happened with Cook when he self released his latest single.
Bieber on the Voice tonight singing that Boyfriend song. I hate it. (sorry, Adam). The kazoo sounding thing in the background makes me want to jump off a cliff!
eta: my heart just breaks reading about Adam and the peeps in the music business. But honestly I hate to bring it up but it’s still the damn AMA’s that loom forever in some people’s minds. IMO.

This has always been my fear, that Adam may be a musician’s musician and not a musician for the masses.

A good example – Carrie Underwood. RS gave her 2 1/2 stars. She still sold 273,000 albums her first week.

Okay, so I broke down and listened to the French stream of Running one time. I didn’t want Kradamour to be the only whore in church. Now I’m back to exerting my will power until the CD arrives. Then I’ll move into my car for the next few days and listen to the CD continuously on the good sound system. (That’s even better than having sex in the car.)

Sweet Adam dreams!
So, I’m home from my class, listening to the livestream. I tried to listen in order, and whoever said it is right, in order there is a logic, from stomping anger and defiance to fun and dance to questioning and despair, to breaking out of it to … Nirvana.
This album is going to be my sound and heart for this whole year. You can hear so many nuances in the songs in the stream. Can’t wait for the actual CD, in my car, which has the best audio. Although, when we bought this computer, we bought very good speakers, because teen sons are very into good music.
Geebus. His voice is a drug.
Listening to OOL. I remember every time he was protested by those Westboro hate-mongers. I remember how our collective hearts were broken, every time. I remember the counter protest. I remember CIGC in LA and his speech. I remember how so many of us were here ( at MJ’s) after that LA show, pouring our hearts out.
Adam has put all that and more into OOL, and Underneath. Which tears me up. You can just hear the emotion in his voice in Underneath. And in Runnin’.
BTW, whoever was praising Adele’s Rumor Has It, it is a co-write with Ryan Tedder. Love that song too.
