After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Hi everyone. Been lurking and “listening” to you rave about the album but like Kadamour I’m going to wait. I’m going to wait, I’m going to I CAN’T WAIT!
. So. I went to the Virgin Radio link and I can’t get it because I’m not in Canada!

Also, I was reading some of the posted reviews and got tears in my eyes picturing Adam with an armfull of Grammy’s.
Am listening from their Vancouver radio station site. I’ve requested NCOE every other day and they have yet to play it on radio. Hopefully they will start playing Adam’s music now that they are “leaking” the whole album!

Btw, nkd and rs, you guys are so right! This album is made to be listened to in order – it just flows so right! Even though I really love some songs more than I love others (I love them all, somehow) I love the whole even more! The anticipation and satisfaction of hearing each song and the next one to come is gratifying – don’t think I’ll tire of hearing it over and over.
Of course, I still listen to FYE sometimes at the gym, not really tired of that one either. Adam’s voice is addictive!

I now think I was too critical of BTIKM. On it’s own, I just don’t think it has legs but, within the context of the album, it works!

Yes! This is what I mentioned but didn’t elaborate. On Mediafire, I was picking and choosing this one and that one, here and there kind of thing. Listening to the album as it’s meant to be heard, in sequence, gives you the full experience.
On several levels, this album absolutely WORKS!
Hope I’m not disappointed in believing Entertainment Weekly will give it a grade A. If so, I plan to go to MJ’s and discretely post how those who said it would “tank” and that no one listens to this kind of music can now kiss Adam’s “A”.

I still haven’t listened to the stream, but I did listen to the 30 second snippets of the bonus songs last week. I can’t find my post, but I posted that I liked Runnin a lot, that I thought Nirvana was gonna be great, but that I don’t like Take Back. On the regular CD songs, I don’t particularly like Kickin In and am not really fond of Pop That Lock or Broken English (until it gets to the middle of the song). I am anxious to see if the actual CD will make me change my mind. But I will wait.
Woot! got the Russian mag and there is only one of it!
And honestly, it couldn’t get any more gorgeous. The whole issue is just breathtaking, one gorgeous male form after another, wonderful quality photography, more of an art magazine than a gay mag. Very few “parts” visible, much more subtle than the other gay mags we are accumulating.
Adam has two full-page photos, the one in the infinity pool and the one of him looking to the side in that big black coat. He looks veery “clothed” compared to the other photos, but we of course expect that…
I wish I could read it.
ETA: and the postage stamps are very beautiful. Castles in full color, like little engravings.
ETA2: and it came in an unmarked envelope, like the others. So discreet!

The rate of spin increase has slowed due to lack of adds (most of the stations that have added the song are probably playing it about as much as they are going to). We need more stations to add the song in the weeks ahead. This past week ending on Monday saw just one Hot AC add at WSJT in Tampa. This slow movement is not uncommon for the Hot AC format though.
Top 40 Airplay:
#83 (+23 positions in the past 4 days)
56 spins (+19 spins in past week)
The song appears to be gaining a bit of momentum on Top 40, especially with the official add date still weeks away, as it is definitely climbing faster than BTIKM did. Still just one add so far though (WKRZ Wilkes-Barre). I’d guess that the song is starting to pick up a few exploratory spins at stations that haven’t officially added it yet.

Listening to it straight through for the first time, rather than hopping around from track to track, I’m blown away. It’s very clear that Adam has matured a great deal as an artist since FYE. Interestingly, when I listen to the album in order I find myself really liking tracks that I was initially lukewarm about when listening to them in isolation.

It’s not Z100, but a Top 40 add in the largest market is always a good thing! Really helps the Audience Impression (AI) number, which is ultimately what we want even more than spin numbers. NCOE has better AI numbers than just about anything else in its chart neighborhood on both Top 40 and HAC at this point. Greater AI means more people that might like what they hear and want to buy.
This is what I’m hoping (and really thinking) will happen with me too, eywflyer.

OMG! What can I say that hasn’t been said. This is a hell of an album. Lucked into the French stream early this morning and thought it sounded great on my computer and yes it is more “robust” than the Singapore stream. So the CD is gonna be unbelievable!

Me too! Just read that quote to the Duke and we’re both still laughing! And this morning when we were listening for the 1st time I told him I really need a new car for this album. I drive a convertible –an old 2000 Chrysler Sebring–and I do need a new car and have been looking (and it has to be a convertible… I’m a FL girl) but haven’t found what I want at an affordable price yet. BUt I need that new convertible soon because I need to be listening to this as I’m driving with the top down…you get the picture…blastin’ it like the kids!! OMG!! I know I can’t be more than 29!!!
I think we can all hear the PERFECTION Adam strove for as he delayed this album again and again. He is truly a creative genius, a perfectionist and the best voice out there and ranks in the top …ever.
The Duke and I have visions of so many of these being in the top whatever like Adele for over a year. From our lips to… He really deserves the accolades he’s receiving; we just need to continue to hope that it all translates into the success he and all his fans want for him. He is so talented he just can;t be brushed aside. NO!
