After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Our featured photo for this month’s chat comes from Adam’s mini-concert of April 26th on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

It’s going to be an exciting month as we begin the Trespassing era, enjoy the chat!

That’s funny, Kradamour. Didn’t even think of that!

Thought this was interesting from Wikipedia on St. Anselm – was familiar with him through my long years in Catholic schools:

It was reported that Anselm wrote many letters to monks, male relatives and others that contained passionate expressions of attachment and affection. These letters were typically addressed “dilecto dilectori”, sometimes translated as “to the beloved lover.” While there is wide agreement that Anselm was personally committed to the monastic ideal of celibacy, some academics, including Brian P. McGuire[58] and John Boswell[59] have characterized these writings as expressions of a homosexual inclination.[60] Others, such as Glenn Olsen[61] and Richard Southern describe them as representing a “wholly spiritual” affection, “nourished by an incorporeal ideal”.[62

  4. Kradamour says:

That was interesting, Ultimathule. I have always thought that naming a child is a terribly serious task.

cwm and little dutchess, saw your messages on the planning site and responded.

adamized, cherie, you need to come home so we can figure out a final plan! Italy, schmitaly!

(Of course I don’t mean that!)

I’ve been off here for a couple of hours cause I had a guest. A little off-topic, but I just turned the tv on, was surfing, came across LOGO where there was a Freddie Mercury special on. Now, they’re doing a program called “Legalize Gay”. It’s a 2012 documentary regarding what different people/groups are doing to try to sway opinions and make people more aware. I think there’s about 30 minutes more of the program. I would like to have seen it all, maybe it will be on again. I checked, and it won’t be on again tonight. Didn’t go past that on the schedule.

I also found Danny Gokey to be competely nauseating. As much as I wanted to see Adam live, I didn’t buy a ticket for the Idol tour until Danny was eliminated, and I knew he wasn’t going to win. Imagine how Adam must have offended Danny’s Christian sensibilities being both gay and Jewish. I suspect Danny was trying to save Adam’s soul with his talks about religion. Thank goodness he didn’t! It might have been bad for Adam’s creativity. As for Michael Sarver, I believe he is sincere. It was during the Idol tour that he came to respect Adam. For his comments on Adam, go to the You Tube video titled: Adam Lambert- Planet Fierce: Uprising – Muse. Michael comes on at 5:22, but watch the whole video if you haven’t seen it before. It is really amusing.

  7. glambotgram says:

glambotgram I do agree. I just think that Adam causes controversy whatever he does or says. I do think that by omitting them he makes a statement between the lines.

Hey, I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to upset anyone

Lawdy lawdy mils I made my post earlier and went outside to do some yard work. and didn’t see another post until a few minutes ago. NEVER think that you upset me with stating your opinion. That’s all I was doing too. This is a safe place here, we have each others back.
I totally understood where you were coming from and agree that Adam walks that controversy line most of the time. He could make it easier on himself, but he wouldn’t be who he is. Smile

  8. milwlovesadam says:

Yup, and the controversy continues. The new headline thread for tonight at MJ’s is loaded with opinions about the newest tweet-gate.

I posted about the girls wearing such high stilettos that they can’t walk or move, then are told they need more stage presence. Geez, I’d be frozen in spot in those ridiculous thangs.

    Thanks Glambot.

I ended up at Trader Joe’s. Much good stuff purchased, including {{{ Kale }}}.

    Sunset (Pact Arcanum)
    by Arshad Ahsanuddin
    FREE on Kindle
With millennia-old magic, emerging romance, and ever-shifting allegiances, this inventive new series unveils a scintillating world of Nightwalkers, Daywalkers, Sentinels, and Humans, who battle for world dominance in the not-too-distant future.

Los Angeles, 2040. The terrorist Medusa and her followers threaten to destroy the metropolis with a nuclear bomb. One individual, the vampire Nicholas Jameson, comes forward to oppose them. As Nick takes on the terrorists, the fragile peace between the races hangs perilously in the balance as the supernatural peoples are exposed. Sunset is book one of the gay vampire saga Pact Arcanum.

Was looking for some free books for my Kindle and came across this. Sounds like it could have been inspired by Adam!

Thanks. I rarely read over there, and even more rarely post these days. I was getting pretty tired of the complaints about how boring the contestants were. I think I’ll head over and see how the conversation is going.

  13. milwlovesadam says:

mmm22, reading your comment, ITA. I think that the Tour experience for Sarver opened his eyes about Adam being both gay and Jewish, and about tolerance, not just of gay issues, but for those who are not Christian. I think they saw protests from Westboro, and realized that those evil people were there to protest Adam, who was just a liberal, open-minded nice person. But for Westboro, he was a double victim, faith and sexuality. It must have opened Sarver’s eyes.

Wish I could say the same for Gokey. UGH. He’s still on my TV daily, he does a lot of commercials for Wisconsin Vision. Sells glasses.

  14. Ellessay says:

Well, that didn’t take long. I wonder how well Adam would have done on AI if he had been just 16-21 when he tried out. We’ve all seen him singing at his high school graduation. While he might have been comfortable on stage, I don’t think he would have been himself–back then he might have still tried to hold on to the illusion he was straight. He might have tried too hard to “show off” his voice (Kinda like Durben did) instead of really selling the songs. And being a bit overweight with bad skin, would have made it hard for him to come across as fierce and hot, particularly if he’d had the chance to perform with Queen on the finale! Timing is everything. All of his experiences have made him the great artist he is today.

  15. Kradamour says:

…Gokey…on my TV daily, he does a lot of commercials for Wisconsin Vision. Sells glasses.

    Such irony.
There are none so blind as they who will not see.
    Frown

  16. milwlovesadam says:

    kradamour, you crack me up!!

  17. mmm222 says:

Gee, mils, I feel for you. Those Gokey commercials would be enough to make me give up TV altogether.

Outstanding Interview with Leila, Adam Lambert’s Mother
    by luv2laugh on Aug.01, 2009:

Q: There were rumors of a rift or rivalry between Adam and third-place finisher Danny Gokey. Any truth to that?
    A: Absolutely not. That’s a myth. They’re good friends.

Adamland, I never saw that Michael Sarver interview, I had heard about it, but had never seen it. Wow. Very well said.

    AL: Thanks!!

  36. Kradamour says:

To be honest, I hadn’t thought of Lil Rounds since season 8 until Adam mentioned her in his thank-yous.
I just checked, and Adam follows her on twitter.

I remember one interview during the tour – remember when an interviewer just got a random couple of idols, they couldn’t specify? – and it was Lil and Adam. I thought at the time that there couldn’t be two more different idols together for an interview. She was obviously out of her league, but being game, and spinning stories about what she hoped to do after the tour (wasn’t signed, no real prospects at the time, but she put a good face on it) and Adam was almost silent and let her have the time/exposure.

  37. Kradamour says:

Heard “Don’t Stop Believing” on the radio this afternoon…it will forever be the Idol tour song for me. Was surprised how vivid the memories were of that concert. Baltimore.

Happy Birthday, AL Live! Thanks to eywflyer for all the work that goes into the site and to AL for taking on the task of moderating!!

  39. Ceddies says:

Hi, adamland. Thanks for posting those links. I have had that Michael Sarver interview bookmarked as one of my favorite interviews ever. As I said, I’ve never thought Michael was disingenuous in the things he has said about Adam. (And, Sarver was my second favorite of that season).

  40. adamland says:

AL thanks for asking, my job keeps me very busy and I get home exhausted from research, etc so I rarely get on the computer let alone post.

Mil that Michael video was great wasn’t it? Ceddies, same here.

  47. HK fan says:

Yay…Starworld and Channel V, Adam on my TV Smile

But a little part of me thinks that while its good to remind everyone out there that Adam still exists, he’s so different now to the GNT era. I hope people that didn’t like all the glitz and glitter don’t see it, and think thats what he’s still like and not give him a chance on this new era.
I don’t think I’m explaining that very well. I just know even from a few of my friends, they didn’t like all the glitter and makeup, but maybe they will like the more edgy, avantgard adam…..But then again, if they didn’t like him then…then they probably won’t like him now. so its a moot point really !

Anyways, I will be very happy to see him up there on my big screen. I haven’t actually played the GNT for any of my family, but hopefully I’ll get them to watch this.

And thanks eywflyer for an amazing first year of Adamlambertlive Heart

  48. Kradamour says:

OMG I just realized that we are only 9 days from Trespassing! I haven’t even let myself keep track, it was too discouraging…I was feeling a lot like the adorable little girl in the vid posted yesterday (but less adorable, of course!) until just now!

And less than three weeks from Wilkes Barre! and National Harbor is three weeks from tonight!

    Life is good, peeps! Grin

  49. fwachdr says:

Thanks, AL, for helping eywflyer! I’d offer but am clueless.
    9 excruciatingly long days…
