February went roaring out like a lion with Queen and Adam wrapping up their sold-out 26 city tour of Europe and UK. March is all Lambert as he heads home or to a possible vacation spot for a well-deserved rest. That will be short-lived though as the promo for The Original High picks up with the single release GHOST TOWN scheduled for April 21st.

This month’s main photo is from the BRITs red carpet. Adam attended the event with the head of the Warner Brothers label and just happened to be in the neighborhood.

    Well if it is too electronic and over produced I can always skip the cd and wait for live performances because Adam always makes live versions of anything (even moaning) amazing. LOL

    Just wanna say…not the least worried about house or anything else. His voice is unmistakeable, no matter what. LMD, his early Digital Glitter stuff. And a lot of house nowadays is almost ethereal, with prominent vocals. And he didn’t say the whole album was house. Some R&B influences? Yay! Remember one guy visited Sweden and commented something about “Prince-like.” Was deleted. Could be Miss Thang shows up! I think it will be eclectic. Excited!

    Lastly, those instagrams!!!! Gahhhh! The last one is just soooo lovely a moment, and the caption so enticing. He must have inherited some of his dad’s gift for words. He has said lyrics are his thing.
    Btw, I wager he will NOT be shirtless in Rio. IMHO not his thing, and especially not with Queen a la Freddie.

    LOL luval I had to look up Oh My Ra, never heard it before. I def do not like that. I like Lay Me Down, But Adam is still not front and center. I never bought it.

    Not a fan of true house music either, but Adam also said this about Trespassing, that there was some house influences on there.
    I trust Adam and I trust Max Martin to make Adam’s voice the focus. MM is the best pop producer right now, and he knows Adam’s vocals.

    If some house music on the album means that we get to see Adam dancing around on stage during performances, then Yes Yes Yes !

    And I love Adam singing R&B! *melt me into a puddle of goo*

    I certainly don’t think his comment means that his voice won’t be recognizable, just that it may be something unexpected from him.
    But honestly for me, anything outside of opera and country are plausible options! Heh

    4 weeks ago was one of my happiest night ever. Got to see QAL in Hamburg. Still missing the guys. I am so glad I have found a home here, makes it all more “real” Still going strong on post-concert-blues…

    I dont worry about deep house so much at all too. He “knows” what to do. And has one of the best producers on his side.
    I am not all that bent on genre anyway. I like what I like, sometimes depends on mood…And his voice is going to be so beautiful.

    That Riffing-vid. That awesome creator read my mind. I was thinking on my way to work that I have to get the riffing/Singing/moaning on my phone. And now There is this awesome vid. I love it…

    I love the original Pop Goes the Camera risky but the other examples show me what I dislike about “house” music on the whole, there could be some exceptions. It’s more about the DJ than the song or vocals.
    However, I don’t think this is what will be on TOH. There may be some electronica and some heavy beats, but Adam’s voice will be front and center. It’s his album after all. (That’s what I’m hoping anyway.)

    I’m betting that there is a mix of genres from song to song and also within the songs. Adam does not like to be defined by one! Wink

    So let’s not worry and “Trust a Bitch”! Grin
    It’s gonna be great!

    Part of the reason is simple: Internet popularity doesn’t necessarily equate to real-world popularity. YouTube plays don’t have much of an effect on radio play, and rabid tweets from fan groups to radio programmers don’t alter a station’s playlist.

    “We get tweets from Argentina and people who can barely put English sentences together [asking us to play Fifth Harmony songs],” says Mike Biddle, assistant program director/music director at WPLW in North Carolina. “We don’t see those tweets and go, ‘Oh wow, we’re getting blown up, we better play this record from Fifth Harmony more!’ We look where they’re coming from.” In other words: a tweet from France, New York or Dallas won’t change a radio playlist in Raleigh, N.C.

    It’s interesting how many of us (and probably most fans) seem to love so different Adam’s songs most, maybe based on what our usual musical preferences are. He appeals to different peeps and audiences because he can do so well so many genres. I try to remain calm and wait for what he delivers… Even though my favorites are rock beat songs and beautiful ballads without electronic elements. Always interested in live performances!

    asifclueless skas is fine. When I chose my first email I wanted it to be skas since those are the first characters of my names, but that was to short. So I made it skaschep (which has some more letters of my last name). Stuck with it since.

    I don’t play chess by the way. Somewhere in my youth I tried, but wasn’t very good at it.

    Luval….Oh My Ra was playing in the car over the christmas holidays, I had my husband and 20yo son in the car with me….i never mentioned who was singing as hubby normally changes the song if he knows its Adam, or rolls his eyes or soemthing!!!….anyways he was tapping the steering wheel while driving, and bopping his head, my son was quiet…at the end he said, who was that, I really like that…he was very surprised when I said Adam, said he should do more stuff like that.

    Maybe the radio shows should heed these tweets/requests….with the internet, we can listen to radio stations all over and quite often tune in to UK and US radio stations. Just because they’re outside the area doesn’t mean they’re not listening.

    Adam is too funny! He sure knows how to keep us entertained now that the tour is over. First the gym pictures and now today’s craziness. Maybe he’s trying to make himself look as unappealing as possible today to compensate for the uproar he caused with the gym pictures. I really enjoyed the visual delights of the gym pictures, but what was even more amusing was the reaction here and elsewhere…everything from mil’s initial reaction to luval’s wickedly funny comparison of Adam’s photos to George’s on Seinfeld. What a laugh! We can always count on Adam to keep us smiling even during the “quiet” times.
