Adam-BRITs-RedCarpet2015
Adam-Chestbert2Adam-GymbertAdam-Chestbert3

February went roaring out like a lion with Queen and Adam wrapping up their sold-out 26 city tour of Europe and UK. March is all Lambert as he heads home or to a possible vacation spot for a well-deserved rest. That will be short-lived though as the promo for The Original High picks up with the single release GHOST TOWN scheduled for April 21st.

This month’s main photo is from the BRITs red carpet. Adam attended the event with the head of the Warner Brothers label and just happened to be in the neighborhood.

Enjoy the chat!

TLKC, the writer’s name is Diana Gabaldon, and the main character’s name is Jamie Fraser……….sorry if I confused you Big Smile .

Road trip to see the Stones would be OK with me………

Love your playlist Cait. I don’t have a CD player in my car. I can however play mp3’s with an USB stick. Can I download the mp3’s somewhere from you?

Haven’t played a CD in years. Never bought many either. My CD’s are in a drawer in my living room, but they are catching dust. When I want to listen to music I either turn on my TV on a radio station or my computer and put my collection of mp3’s on shuffle. Since the concert in Amsterdam that changed though and I’m now looking a lot on Youtube and installed Spotify and Deezer to listen to Adam’s songs. Also trying to expand my profile somewhat by listening to other songs. Top 40 from here and also some what older music.

  3. Cait1602 says:

skaschep can send you a copy if you want. Or if you know a way where to put them so you can dl them?

If anyone else want to have a copy just send me a mail with your adress Smile cait.lynn1602@gmail.com

  4. skaschep says:

Cait: I’ve shared a folder with you on my Onedrive. It already contains my own Queen video’s from Amsterdam. Can you maybe put a zip file of the music files on your CD on there?

It had more to do with your answer being just on the other page though Smile. But of course we have great minds Wink.

Wish it were QAL or Adam concerts. Frown

  8. rs says:

    Cait, you have mail

  9. LadyNorth says:

cait has also done very cool cover to her cd. Can’t wait to get my copy Big Smile They are all live versions, the songs. That was the whole point of this huge project.

I am old fashioned, still listen to mostly cds. But I also have spotify premium that works in my phone, lap top, tablet and amplifier. And I have ripped many of my cds to MP3s.

  10. HK fan says:

Just reading that Zayn Malik has left the 1D tour due to stress….(possibly just for a couple of weeks)…..my daughter saw them in HK on wednesday night, glad she got to see all 5 together, even though Zayn’s not her favourite. She hasn’t said that much about the concert, just that it was great and she sounded hoarse when she came out…so thats always a good sign!!!

  11. Axxxel says:

@ HK fan whaaaat ? Hope that Zayn Malik will get his act together before One Direction will perform in Jakarta on 25 March… Or maybe he is on an early vacation in Bali ? Joking…

At least your daughter had a good time… flailing…

ETA: seems that he flew to the UK. Or has it something do to with past drug use ?

I listen to CD’s in my car every day. I am old school. I wouldn’t know how to rip or zip a file if somebody paid me.

Cait, I would looove a CD. I’ll send you an email.

  15. milwlovesadam says:

Guess somebody is gonna dare to try to cover Mad World on Idol tonight. Interesting, Nile is the mentor, and Adam pretty much slayed that song forever. Looking forward to mentions or clips of it/him.

I am not happy about the “biggest leak” article. I don’t understand people promoting this very obnoxious, disrespectful, and hurtful “male is better”,”younger is better” idea that’s so rampant in our society. Sure it’s meant as a joke, but I have heard this “joke” so many times, and I just find is ignorant, heartless, and chauvinistic.
I shall just ignore it. #BetterThingsToDo

  18. turquoisewaters says:

Axxel: CDs for me too. My car is stick shift and has a manual crank for the windows. Provides me with all the exercise I need, so I can save the gym membership.

  19. milwlovesadam says:

Not sure if I liked Joey’s Mad World, not awful, not great, kinda quirky.

She does have a lot of talent.

Just once, I’d like the judges to refer to prior Idols, and show some knowledge of the show they are working for.

  20. JOJOSIE says:

I’ve not been heard here for awhile but I am still kicking. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Since I just turned 83, I think I’m the oldest ALLer. I did try to post on the eve of asif‘s birthday but something strange happened. Altho I hadn’t posted for some time and it didn’t ask me to sign in. I did wish dear asif a happy birthday and commented on meeting her and her family and so many of you others for the first time in Chicago as well getting reacquainted with those I’d met at other shows. It was my only Q+A concert but I felt very lucky to be there and enjoy it with so many of you. My post never made the blog. I tried several times but no luck. I went and did some other things on line and when I returned my post had disappeared and the must sign in notice was there. Strange but true. My life has been very stressful lately as we are moving April 1st into Western Home Community retirement center. We’ve had to get our home of over 25yrs ready to sell. It’s amazing how much stuff you can have and not even remember where some of it came from. We had an auction of some of our collectibles and gave lots away and there is still alot left. We are happy to be moving and are looking forward to it. April, I hope will bring a new life for me and a single from Adam. It’s time

    Really interesting article –

    http://www.wsj.com/articles/roadies-unlikely-survivors-in-the-music-business-1426780184?mod=trending_now_1

“Despite the enduring caricature of roadies as tattooed guys with beer bellies in heavy-metal T-shirts, today’s concert hands often resemble computer geeks—and many of them are women.”

I want whatever Cait is sending out. Will try to play catchup tomorrow.
A bit of update on me. Am walking again, slowly but with a limp and limited distances only. Started driving again two days ago. Not far away but it’s a start. Will go to a concert tonight for the first time since last year. KC and The Sunshine Band. Won’t be up and dancing like normal but will do my best to dance in my seat. It’s gonna be a long walk with crutches into the venue so I’ll try to do a skaschep and pretend it’s for Adam! Laugh The stairs down to the seats will also be a bit difficult but I will be careful. Ciao for now. Kiss

  30. cher says:

Sparkle, so happy your hubby is recovering well. Don’t know all the details yet but good for him. Hugs from me. High Five!

  31. rs says:

Watching Idol now and I have two things to say:

Idol doesn’t know how to promote itself and its accomplishments. When they did the intro for Nile and said all the people who he worked with, it would have been so easy at the end to say: and our own Adam Lambert!

Mad World: These judges weren’t around when Adam performed and there is no way that they go back and watch earlier seasons. Keith even commented that he had never heard it sung in this way (not that Joey sang it like Adam sang it). Usually when they compare to other performances, it is to be critical. Joey is one of my favorites, and I liked her emotion on the song, but of course, the voice is so different and I wanted Adam’s silky smoothness. I have no doubt that Joey knows Adam’s performance very well. Here is what Michael Slezack had to say.

Grade: B+ |Will y’all forgive me for robbing Joey of an A- just because, as an Idoloonie of the Most Ridiculous Order, I feel she should’ve left the Adam Lambert “Mad World” jersey hanging from the stadium rafters? (I know: I’m the WORST. But still, these kids need to know their history!) Taking aside the Season 8 wonderboy’s rendition (aka only cover of the song anyone needs to hear), Joey really did sound lovely — the nooks and crannies of her tone soaking up the sadness and insecurity of the lyric

I haven’t finished watching the show, but it seems that the only contestant who didn’t get negative criticism from the judges was Joey.

  32. skaschep says:

cher Great to hear that things are getting better.

The stairs down to the seats will also be a bit difficult but I will be careful.

Yeah I really found that one difficult as well. I was so glad I had my dad and sister with me to catch me if anything would go wrong. Good luck tonight and hope you have fun!

On my own crutches: I still walk with them. Going into surgery this Monday to repair my Anterior cruciate ligament. After that probably 6 more weeks of crutches and I can finally walk freely again. Haven’t driven a car since it happened and will need to wait with that until after those 6 weeks also. After those 6 weeks I still need physical therapy to strengthen the muscles. So dancing will take a bit longer, but when I can one of the first thing I will do is dance on all those wonderful songs Adam made that already gave me some urges to dance although I couldn’t.

  33. rs says:

Good luck with your surgery skaschep Doctor How long will you be in the hospital? Don’t forget the charger for your phone/mp3/music player so that you can listen to Adam while lying in that hospital bed. Big Smile

  34. TLKC says:

Good luck on your move Jojosie. You are in synch with Adam. April is bringing a new start for the both you. Smile

rs, agree with your post at 4:21am. Joey couldn’t hit the high notes but didn’t try. Nice. Michael Orland I’m sure told her about Adam’s version. I never heard of Mad World before Adam (or ever saw the Donnie Darko movie either). Am curious if Joey did.

  41. luval says:

ultimathule I love the wsj article about the roadies. Makes one wonder how much QAL’s budget is used since they have dozens of people on the road with them.

I just saw that (probably because I’m on a UK IP on work), but this was an interview recorded while he was in the UK during QAL I think. Someone tweeted then this line already. I’m wondering when they are going to air the whole interview. He is again his whole wonderful self.

  43. skaschep says:

Thanks all for the good luck wishes. It will be a short surgery and I just heard I’m expected at 7 am already (early!). So I expect to be out of the hospital not long after lunch time.

Thanks for the tip also rs. I will be awake during the surgery since it will be done with a spinal anesthesia, but I’m not sure if they will let me have my phone with me during that time.

JOJOSIE, Happy Belated Birthday!! I so appreciate what you’re going thru as we decided this week to downsize too, and will be moving into a smallish townhome and selling our home. A little earlier than you (I’m 76) but the huge yard and pool were just taking their toll on hubby. Just can’t imagine my 5 kids and assorted spouses and grandkids dealing with our stuff – it was soooo hard for just me and one sister after our parents passed away. Plus we have 5 million books lol.
I wish you the very best! Slow and steady wins the race.

skaschep, best of luck with your surgery and the long path to recovery, too.

  48. luval says:

haha here’s the interview …. 29 seconds on youtube

  49. riskylady says:

rs, you are so on point about Idol. I just don’t understand – Adam is gushed over when he appears or during interviews, but then ignored at other appropriate occasions.
And really, both Nile and Pharrell were sort of labouring under the radar for years until a)Adam worked with Nile in his studio for Shady, and Nile’s posts and videos were tweeted worldwide by Glamberts, and b)the RS article about Adam and Pharrell working on Trespassing brought Pharrell back into the forefront. And how to ignore the fabulous LMD with Avicii on the worldwide phenom album True? It almost seems calculated but still mystifying.

  50. luval says:

I’m beginning to think they don’t know what to do with Adam anymore. He outshines everyone in looks, voice, intelligence….They are afraid of him. Smile There’s been no one like him ever. He would take the spotlight from anyone around him & they don’t want that. Not his fault!
