Adam-BRITs-RedCarpet2015
Adam-Chestbert2Adam-GymbertAdam-Chestbert3

February went roaring out like a lion with Queen and Adam wrapping up their sold-out 26 city tour of Europe and UK. March is all Lambert as he heads home or to a possible vacation spot for a well-deserved rest. That will be short-lived though as the promo for The Original High picks up with the single release GHOST TOWN scheduled for April 21st.

This month’s main photo is from the BRITs red carpet. Adam attended the event with the head of the Warner Brothers label and just happened to be in the neighborhood.

Enjoy the chat!

  11. Kiwi says:

Does anyone here watch idol? I’m watching (well, listening to and glancing up at) the top 12 selection….WTF! Is it me or are they really bad?
At least the judges appear to be very impressed. I’m not!

  12. rs says:

Hi Kiwi, I watched it this morning. There are a few OK ones there. What strikes me is Adam’s influence. After he broke the mold of conventionality there are many more quirky contestants who dare to be different.

  13. Kiwi says:

Hi RS, I don’t mind quirky although I think it can get tiring quite fast. They just seemed to be so out of tune most of the time. They got rid of a couple that I liked. I’m already bored with a few of them. Adam had an enormous range of possible genres (except country, maybe) there’s just no comparison.

  14. rs says:

Of course there is no comparison to Adam! But there is no comparison between Adam and the vast majority of hugely popular singers out there either!

  15. Kiwi says:

I get you. I didn’t really mean it that way.
I know no-one can compare. I liked the guy who was a landscaper but he’s gone. Perhaps it’s just me, I was really disappointed in all of them.
Not helped either by the judges gushing over what superstars some of them are!!!

  16. rs says:

Kiwi, I don’t pay any attention to the judges. I usually watch with Lyndsey Parker’s recap open and read what she has to say as I watch. I trust her judgment far more than that of the judges.

  17. Cait1602 says:

Like Adam said its just a platform to get noticed in the USA. Its like that in germany too. Judges are only there for entertainment imo. Its a bit like a circus for me. Dont like it at all

  18. HK fan says:

I’ve been watching Kiwi….I think there are some good ones this year…much better than the last 2 years. But I don’t think the new format is helping in some of the performances….not knowing if you’re going to be cut or not, then having to sing 2 seconds later. Sarina Joi Crowe is normally much, much better than she was tonight, I like Quentin, and Ryavons tone is gorgeous, and Joey is growing on me, she’s really quirky. Jax is my favourite, can see her have some sort of career afterwards.

  19. nkd says:

I like Quentin and Jax too. Savion was one of my faves but he’s gone.
This format sucks for the contestants. Your name is called, you get that jolt of adrenalin then you have to sing. I hope that it ended last night and they return to normal top 12 performances. But they cut out the elimination show for this season, right?
Yeah, no one like Adam. Not for me anyway.

I have come to the conclusion, after watching Idol and the Voice, that I just prefer men’s voices. I like Quentin, Rayvon, Nick and Clark. I think Clark needs to sing something modern though or he will fall by the wayside. The only girl I like is the one whose name begins with a T. It’s just all so silly to even get invested though because that mentor guy is going to push who he wants to work with and he’s already indicated that the winner may not be the best singer.

sorry about the double post. can’t seem to edit.

  29. LadyNorth says:

My TV made it easy choice for me, no AI on TV here this year. Past seasons I have sometimes watched the performances, but skip all the commentary… That’s what it’s always been to me, watching possibly good music performances, don’t care about the other hype. But when Adam was on, judging was fun to watch.

  30. luval says:

lol, road house music, nkd. Remember the movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze? Yipes

  31. TLKC says:

Same here. I watch the most commented on performances on MJ’s the morning after. This year Adam’s appearance got me started at the early auditions but the performances didn’t keep pace and it has become boring. I will probably give the show another try when they hit Top 10.

I like JAX, too, and have to agree with HK fan that the sudden death situation is probably affecting the quality of the performances in a negative way, which affects the quality of the show.

  32. TLKC says:

Anyone seen this? A fan group offering the 411 on CD3 release. No advice beyond downloading SHAZAM at this point.

    http://popcrush.com/britney-spears-britney-army-adam-lambert-glamberts-best-fanbase/

I hate these once an hour things, much prefer the once a day vote.

  34. angelowal says:

I like JAX too – have since I saw her preliminary audition.

I also think the new format is no improvement to the show at all and actually most unfair to the contestants. So many of the top 12 sang out of tune, and no wonder, since they were called to sing right after their names being announced with hardly time to catch their breath. I know the show was edited in parts, but it is still too much adrenalin rush for those kids to handle; even seasoned performers need time to compose and gather focus before stepping on stage.

All “the suits” are going to accomplish is further loss of audience and credibility, in my opinion.

…..and why do I keep watching that stupid show anyway Thinking ?

  35. TLKC says:

Voted twice today, thanks to HK fan and nkd. Glamberts still leading Britney fans 55-44%. Big Smile

If MJ’s and social media is anything to go by, a lot of Idol fans hated the sudden death round last year. Why are they trying to be like The Voice? The Voice musical chair thing turned me off the show permanently.

  36. skaschep says:

I also don’t like the one hour voting. The Glamberts are dropping by the way. It’s now 53.3% versus 46.7%.

I have seen the Idol show where Adam was a judge but not anything more. The show is not on TV here, but American Idol never was.

We had our own Idols in the past, but that only ran for 4 seasons (2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007). Only the winner and runner up from the first season is still known. For the rest they are pretty unknown. We also had 5 season of X-factor, but those names I know even less. The last season of that was in 2013. The only talent show that is focused on singing is now The Voice of Holland for which the 6th season will start in September. Mostly the singing in there is pretty good and a high level, but also the winners from that show have trouble getting success.

  37. skaschep says:
  38. Cait1602 says:

Hm now its just 50.93% vs 49.07% for Glamberts….Somehow I so dont wanna loose against Britneys Army…I mean hello Britney Spears???

  39. luval says:
  40. Kiwi says:

…..and why do I keep watching that stupid show anyway ?

I am asking myself the same question
I thought Jax was mildly interesting, but I agree with some others, that on the whole I prefer male voices. I am over the breathy “little girl voice” female singers. Possibly because NZ seems to have produced so many over the last few years.

  41. Kiwi says:

Just voted again and it was exactly 50/50. I just don’t remember every hour.

    I love the movie RoadhouseSmile

re Idol…I don’t understand why they can’t let them all sing, especially now they’re at the top 1, and eliminate the one going at the end of the programme…at least they then get to have a final performance rather than this bye, seeya, thanks for coming.

I’ve watched a little of Idol, and I do like some of the top ones so far this year, but, nobody makes my heart pound my brain explode my eyeballs pop or make me want to shout their name from a rooftop or makes me want to lick my TV.
