February went roaring out like a lion with Queen and Adam wrapping up their sold-out 26 city tour of Europe and UK. March is all Lambert as he heads home or to a possible vacation spot for a well-deserved rest. That will be short-lived though as the promo for The Original High picks up with the single release GHOST TOWN scheduled for April 21st.

This month’s main photo is from the BRITs red carpet. Adam attended the event with the head of the Warner Brothers label and just happened to be in the neighborhood.

    nkd, I saw you over on the Badass blog. I left her a video suggestion, since she posted the other day about how much she loves STL. I still think Toronto 2 was the best of the tour, however, Sheffield would be #2. IMHO. He seemed to pull out everything he had for both tour ending shows of STL.

    After making the NYE DVD, I put it in two DVD players to see
    if it would play; and it did. I never played it all the way
    through until Luval emailed me that hers
    stopped about 2/3s of the way through. Mine also, just prior to where the fireworks start. So the last 20 minutes of the concert won’t play (nor the fireworks show). So everyone has a DVD that isn’t a “plug-an-play” and isn’t complete. Back to the drawing board. So sorry!!!!!!!! (but the CD is okay)

    Sorry, nkd and luval, I’m pretty sure those striped shorts and boat pics were during WAG tour, when they went to Bali, or something like that. I remember much discussion about him NOT wearing the aqua dork shorts. LOLOL

    If you look at the pic of him in the water, you can see his shoulder tat poking out of the water, the spitting water Aquarian one.

    The CD is more than OK. I listen to it almost every day on my drive to work. The heck with morning radio and the same song every five minutes. I’d much rather listen to a certain voice.

    Now, I just need somebody with skillz to make a CD of Love Kills from the original IHeart stream, Dragon Attack from Toronto 2, Save Me , I Was Born to Love You, and WWTLF. I’d also like to add Love of My Life. I grew to adore that on tour.

    I honestly don’t know if I could drive whilst listening to that mix though. Might melt into my car seat.

    Yes, the striped shorts pic is from their Bali vacay with a few days off during the WAG tour.
    The other with the olive tee is from 2010.

    Sorry, I did not put a date on the Bali pic.

    Gosh, thanks for finding and posting these ulti….I have never seen them before, wonderful to watch now. Gah.. I just love listening to him talkSmile

    I just rewatched the old Idol Confessionals (I am sure that I saw them at some point before) and I loved them! I never saw the confessionals of any of the other contestants, but there couldn’t be a more articulate, thoughtful, and open one than Adam. It is interesting how we keep going back to his Idol performances and interviews, not because it was high point of his career, like some of the others, but because it was so good and so much of it foretold what was to become of him in his future career. I love when he talks about his thinking behind song choice, his reactions to criticism, fame, and future albums. One sentence especially struck me. When he talked about the aftermath of ROF:

    I want to appeal to as many people as possible because I want everybody to have a good time at home.

    He could have said, I want to appeal to as many people as possible so they will vote for me, and he obviously wants votes, but first and foremost he wants to entertain. And isn’t that why we love him? (I cringe when I see people who want to get on these shows because they want to be famous. That is a side effect not a goal in itself.)

    I totally agree rs….as I was watching them, I was thinking it would be interesting to see some of the others to compare, what sort of things they were saying. I just can’t imagine any of them being as articulate or as at ease as Adam appeared to be talking to a camera.

    Just off to get ready to go and see Ed Sheeran in concert…..should be good.

    Thanks for this morning’s gifts. The “Front Row” review is new to me and the AI8 contestants’ comments on Adam bring back lovely memories. Artist Supporter’s video will have to wait until the weekend but I love these tributes. Saturday morning melts away when I start looking at the videos.

    Looking forward to “The Best of QAL According to Cait” compilation as well.

    Just got back from the Ed Sheeran concert…..was great, what a cool, talented guy….1 hr 40 mins of just him and a guitar….thumping bass for an acoustic set.

    Sounds great HK fan. Did you hear about Sam Smith? He is having throat problems again and has cancelled his 6th concert (not in a row – overall.) He has a great voice but needs to learn how to use it properly.

    BTW, WITWIAL? A guy in Montana tweeted him a thank-you for a signed poster and he’s holding a bottle of champagne.
