The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

Like Adam, Queen wouldn’t stay in a “box,” although
RS did give “Trespassing” four out of five stars
during a review.
As I remember, the RS reviewer of Trespassing was someone who, I believe, knew Adam and spoke highly of him personally. Wasn’t “Zeus in a thong” in the review? Never quite figured that one out, but I liked it.

LOVED Caleb last night, he’s been my pick since his audition. He’s not gorgeous and addictive like Adam, but, he can wail.
I also really like Jena. Alex sounds great, but has no stage presence. Sam sounds nice, but looks scared and timid.
I also found RS’s article to have an odd tone. Virtually no other article is talking Idol so much. And Adam’s quotes seem out of context. I think it was simply badly written.

I’m kinda intrigued by that joining of Twitter with Billboard. Maybe it will ultimately have an effect on PD’s who control what’s played.
Hoping it also will show which artists have loyal fanbases, and give them a reason and funding to pursue more music that people actually want to hear.

Does anyone else hate Pharrell’s “Happy” song as much as I do? Was disappointed to hear Majesty Rose sing it on Idol tonight. I’m only in my car twice a day for about 10 min. to work and 10 min. home, yet EVERY TIME I get in the car, that song is on the radio. Wish Adam could get that kind of radio play.
Anyway, the song sounds like a throwback to the late 60s or early 70s only the 5th Dimension did it better. It’s too repetitive and lasts way too long. I find it very annoying. No, I’m not happy. (I don’t have Q+L concert tickets!)
Also not happy about the Glee spoilers. I was hoping for more of singing Adam in that last appearance. But any Adam is better than no Adam!
Wish them all well, Ellessay, but have no interest in any of those Glee people, neither as characters nor in real life. Once Adam’s gone, that’s it.
I thought I was the only one who disliked that song “Happy”, Ellessay. Glad I am not alone! It’s a station turner to me. Only song I can stand now is Ryan Tedder’s Counting Stars and that’s been around for quite awhile.
One of my daughters wants to go with me to a concert – already have tickets for DC and probably MSG with another daughter. Can’t decide between New Jersey and Atlantic City – both about 3-1/2 hours from here in Maryland. Anyone know anything about these two venues – especially the acoustics? thx

I quit watching Glee a long time ago. I only watched it in the beginning because I was born and raised in Lima, Ohio, and as a transplant to Florida, I was hungry for those references to my hometown.
But there were so many things that were not anything like Lima. Never heard the term “Lima Loser” until Glee–we were pretty proud of our town and our schools. We would never have a problem pulling enough singers together for a Glee club. The scenery was obviously not Ohio, where you would never see lush green grass at a fall football game, where the spectators would be bundled up in their jackets, caps and scarves, not wearing shorts and t-shirts.
I only watch it now for Adam, and really appreciate those who snip the Adam parts and mash them together in a video so I don’t have to watch much of the annoying parts.
I kinda wonder IF Adam had gotten the part all those years ago, how would the dynamics of the show have been different. I think I read that he tried out for Finn’s part. Adam the football jock. Hmmmm.
I really like Counting Stars too, and it’s another one getting heavy rotation. I’ve been meaning to look up the lyrics online so I know what it’s really about. Some of the lyrics really touch something in me. I changed the station this afternoon when Happy came on just as I got the car started. Did I say how much I HATE that song?

ulti, I’d be tempted to go to the Atlantic City show if I had to choose. With the barrel vaulted ceiling it looks like it would have much better acoustics than an arena.
Not that the arena shows aren’t going to be great also!

Thanks, nkd – acoustics are so important – been stuck in the Verizon Center in D.C. – just awful.
Just checked them both out – wow – New Jersey gets not-too-good reviews – Atlantic City gets very good ones – guess that settles it.
I’m not overly keen on the song Happy either, its OK, nothing special, certainly not worth all the rave reviews and airplay it gets.
