The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

Joining you, nkd, love all the songs, even The Happening, which seems to be a kind of showtune or something – Kurt, Dani and Elliott, maybe the one they do in the tuxes? Bet seeing it with the choreo will be really cool.
The other songs are ones that I loved when the originals were popular, and now EVEN MORE!!! Gloria and Hold On: Great sing-alongs, too.
But Barracuda, wow, he lets loose, soooooo goooood. I remember what Ryan Tedder said about Adam, that “he’s a rocker.” He has that soul in his voice even though he loves Pop.
This episode of Glee is going to be an epic-sode! I just love them for showcasing him the way they have, and “getting” his voice, and writing in scenes like the ones with Kurt in Frenemies. Hubby loved them too, said he’s a natural and his “it” factor is just off the charts.
Yeah a lot of Adam in Elliot, Shosh got annoyed with fans for pointing that out. She says not true, he is acting. We know him better than she does

All 4 songs are great, I like them all, but Barracuda is the best.
I have a feeling that there will only be concerts in the US and Canada, not worldwide as some are hoping, because of this interview with Brian in The Sun on Feb. 19th. His health is still not perfect, and just the US and Canada would certainly be less wear-and-tear on him, both first-world countries with good medical facilities, hotels, food, water all similar to the UK. Although, he and Kerry Ellis are planning a concert in Minsk, Belarus (??!!??) later this month, and I believe Russia, although if I were them, I wouldn’t go. A very iffy part of the world right now, sadly.
They also have a big event at Royal Albert Hall on April 1st.
What does this mean? Who was his management before? Okay, nevermind…. They are a management team it looks like for Drag Queens. April is a client. Weird. Probably nothing..

riskylady, thanks for that article on Brian. I do worry about his health. I remember for years reading about people…mostly women…having aches and pains and not that long ago it was given a name…fibromyalgia. Brian should continue with his massages & chiropractic sessions. He probably does.

Very sad to hear that Brian’s pain is still a mystery. It would have been nice if Queen had added a few Asian concerts to the end of the NA tour. They have strong fan bases in some of those countries and so does Adam. NVM. Brian’s health is more important. I can’t help wondering if Brian’s health is behind the suggestion that this will be their last tour. Chronic pain is no joke.. I guess that’s why Roger is the only one mentioned for the MSG announcement on Thursday
I can’t see Brian going to Minsk, either. It is likely that the western world will establish some sort of embargo on business with Russia in the near future.

(Just reporting on my state after listening to the new Glee songs.)
Adam sounds simply amazing on Barracuda. He totally nailed it and sounds glorious. That’s my favorite of the four, followed by The Happening, then Gloria, then Hold On.
I could happily roll around in Adam’s voice on Barracuda for quite some time. My only complaint about that song is that Lea needs to dirty it up more. Her voice sounds too “proper” and “pure” at times, especially in contrast to Adam, who uses the perfect amount of grit and gut in his voice. She gets better as the song goes on, but she definitely needs to bring more grit and gut to it if she’s going to sing rock.
I love The Happening, too. Although Adam is less prominent, he still sounds great. I’m a sucker for a fun, jazzy, throw-back tune with tight harmonies, and this one totally works for me.
Gloria is good, although I want more Adam. Always want more Adam. And Hold On is good too and I enjoyed it, although I couldn’t really isolate Adam’s voice in it. Does he have a line by himself in that song?

But, by far, best Adam vocal is “Barracuda”. Really looking forward to see that performed on the show.
I never cared for the song “Gloria” and it’s just “okay”.
Don’t like “Hold On” at all.
But these musical numbers are so cleverly staged and so entertaining that I’m looking forward to seeing all of them.
