The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

It is good to be back.
For at least the moment, things in real life are calmer – I have been able to find very wonderful ladies to stay with my mother and so even though there are daily visits and more than enough doctor appts and handling of her affairs, I can breathe and pick up the pieces of my own life again. I’m playing catchup and will for a while, but things are manageable again.
Just in time for concerts and meeting up with wonderful ALL peeps!
I wish that I could go to more concerts – sad that I still won’t meet mils! – but not sure about going far from home, playing it safe. There will be other opportunities.
Think I’ll wander over to the corner and see what has been added since last fall…hope someone left some snacks there…

Sweet Summertime Dreams of Q+A, ALL!!
Hmmmm! Saskatoon and Calgary are both selling Group tickets for the Q+AL concerts at $55 and $59 a pop, respectively, instead of $99.00. You can buy up to 8 tickets for your gang and know that you will all be able to sit together. Of course there is a catch – you don’t know where you will be sitting until the day of.
I expected this in Saskatoon, which has a population of less than 300,000, but I’m a bit surprised at Calgary.

I honestly believe that there will be a lot of good seats left. These are released in blocks over time. Everyone will be able to find a spot, though perhaps not together.

Well no luck today for MD, I will start watching the ticket scalper sites now. I have lawn tickets so I know I can get in. I have good seats for Chicago so no worries if I don’t find anything at a reasonable price.
Warning: rant ahead! I don’t know if I’m just mad because I got sucked in, because I didn’t know how things worked, or because it’s really unfair. (I do think it’s unfair.) But I didn’t know that concert tickets were released bit by bit. I’m used to buying tix at the smaller venues where you can pick your row and seat from the start. What’s the point of an “exclusive” pre-sale if you can’t access whatever tickets you want? Does rest of the world know this stuff by osmosis? How come the ticketmonster doesn’t have to put some kind of disclaimer/explanation on its site? Honestly, I am clueless on this stuff, and now I’m worried I won’t be able to unload my $675 worth of crappy VIP tix. I think we should start a writing campaign to our elected representatives. Or invest in Ticketmaster

Tickets were $175. each so I thought that was pretty good although I should I have double checked the resale prices.

Calgary I feel your pain, when I did find some good seats in MD, I was ready to buy and the site went down. The whole thing sucks. And to top it all off the best seats are probably still being held for radio stations and VIP’s.
