The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!

With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

    I have to say the Fox news video is one of the best and like riskylady mentioned, the segue from Freddie to Adam’s voice is amazing. This is the one I’ll be emailing to peeps.

    I noticed on twitter last night a few comments…someone is hoping they do harmonizing like Freddie & Brian 7 Roger did. Also a couple of tweets mentioned Adam’s mustache saying “why is he wearing a Freddie mustache if he doesn’t want to be like him” (I’m paraphrasing here). I agree with that to a point. Would be great if he shaved it just for one month! That way the physical difference between the two will be more apparent.

    Thank you HK fan for that dirty pop interview. Been waiting to get a better audio.

    Now I’m going to try and get things done around here which I totally neglected yesterday. Was on my ass for 5 hours trying to figure out schedules, etc. etc. for the tour.

    But I want to mention an Adam moment I had. Have told a couple of people about this. Was at Michaels to look for a frame for Aquarian Wolf, met this wonderful sales person helping me…got talking about Adam, Queen (started by me, of course). Turns out he and his partner saw Adam at the Rusty Nail club(?) in 2007 and at that time everyone there was telling him he should audition for Idol. I mentioned Queen tour…Adam has his own music…Trespassing was #1 on Billboard…and he says “we have Trespassing and we love it!”

    First time I think that a stranger has told me they have the album. It was great.

    luval, I love that Fox news video, too as well as the fact that the first announcement came on ABC’s GMA. Can’t help but remember how nasty both those stations were to Adam after the AMA’s (and Fox when he was on Idol and the photos came out of him kissing Cheeks). risky and I were just reminiscing about how his name was never mentioned with out the preface “openly gay singer”, and we wondered if it would ever end. Now we hear, “vocal powerhouse..”, “worldwide superstar…”, “Grammy nominee…”. In the end no one can stand before his voice and his charm In Love

    ‘Morning! Just checking in. Trying not to think about the tickets issue. I would just like to have an awesome seat at one of the shows. After that I am okay with merely good seats (ha!) I updated cwm’s grid.

    The Sirius interview is so good. The call-in fans were terrific, too. Thanks for an audible version of the Lance Bass interview.

    NO to Xanadu, tongue-in-cheek or otherwise. Yikes, talk about putting a target on your back, even with Katy Perry. JC Superstar would not be a good move for Leto right now. If he hasn’t signed on to a few projects since Dallas Buyers Club opened last fall, he is probably in major talks. The Oscar will have sealed it. Down the road, maybe.

    My favorite thing to read this morning:all the ways Adam is being introduced and not once “openly gay singer! It’s been a long time coming but the change has finally come! Now if the press would change “former American Idol” to something more current.

    I’m still trying to figure out the password thing. Will it be sent out in each time zone or all a one time? Any thoughts?

    Ahhh … Just got back from a rabbit hole since yesterday.

    Last year On March 8, I saw Adam at WAG TOUR in Singapore. I went to visit the old videos and photos.

    Best time of my life.
    Hope it happen again.

    It really is a great “AI Story”. I don’t think the show itself/Ryan has ever mentioned the partnership on air, but they should because its a good story for the show: unknown guy sings BoRap at Idol audition, makes it to finale, sings w/meets Brian and Roger at finale; they have great chemistry and discuss maybe working together in future, guy embarks on solo career that has him net grammy nomination, hit records, tours the world, etc. but B&R keep in touch; when they need a singer for a big European award show, they call him – the response so good they book a few full gigs in Europe; then they do a high profile US radio festival, response so good they decide to do full blown NA tour. A little over 5 years from when the American public is first introduced to Adam he is on GMA and at MSG with B&R announcing NA tour. Cool story

    rs: don’t know if I can do any east coast shows. I’d love to. But my folks already have a hard time understanding why I want to see the show in San Jose and then 2 days later again in LA. I might have to put the family agenda over the glamily agenda.

    I know what you are talking about turquoisewaters. People here say, “the same concert?” when they hear that I am going to more than one. I usually stress the social aspect of meeting friends and having this great fun experience together. People without the Adam Lambert Gene just can’t get it. I loved meeting you last year and hopefully we will share an Adam experience again soon. July seems to be the month for big ALL reunions.

    I’m excited that I’m going to be able to see so many of you at one of the Q+AL shows – between San Jose, LA, NYC, and the DC shows, I’m going to get to intersect with a lot of you!

    I’m sad, though, that there are many others of you whom I would love to meet or see again that I probably won’t get to intersect with, like nkd, mils, AL, asif, mieps, JOJOSIE, and mlg. Frown Next time!

    And – lol – opera nut here – Wagner/Bayreuth – have to make reservations, from what I’ve read, years in advance. Anyhow Tristan, once you’re under its spell, can hold you for life – my collection is nuts (both LP and CD).

    This is my fav STL – one of the reasons is his positioning at the end when you can see his entire figure and his glorying in his voice – sublime.

    (And I hope when vids are made of the upcoming concerts, those doing it will hold the swell of applause at the end of each performance – adds so much, for me, to its enjoyment.)
