The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

This ticket situation is getting out of hand. Tons of tickets sold before actual on-sale date. Out of this world prices. What are we to do except maybe pick a less popular arena. No offense to Canadians but Saskatoon and Edmonton may be our only choices. Maybe Michigan too. Oh well, this is what I asked for…such a demand of tickets that they will be hard to get.
But we’ll see what happens this week and go from there. Something should be available if only in the nosebleed seats.
The ticket situation seems like it may be a repeat of the iHeart ticket debacle. I don’t think they had more than 200 tickets available to the general public when they officially went on sale and those sold out in about 30 seconds. I hope it won’t be quite that bad, but I’m afraid we may be paying some steep prices for mediocre seats. Oh well, luval and I bit the bullet and bought tickets from Stub Hub for iHeart and other than the pain from enriching the scalpers, it was totally worth it.
When I look at the various tickets available for Queen at the ACC in Toronto, I don’t see actual seats, only sections. IMHO, a lot of these postings are scalpers pre-posting on resale sites (check for the re-sale site disclaimer.)
A lot of these postings are about catching a few neophytes who will commit in advance at such high prices that the sellers can go out and get ANY tickets in those sections for a lower price and make some easy $$$$. Secondarily, pre-posting helps scalpers figure out how much interest is out there and what prices the market will bear.
Remember that those of us who went to Hammersmith got great spots in a 5000-seat venue in a city of nearly 10 million Queen fans. There WILL be great seats and we won’t have to pay ridiculous prices.
Why is everyone so eager to go to Las Vegas? That crowd will be full of fat-cats having their Saturday-night-dinner-and-subscription-theatre, rattling their jewellery instead of their asses. Pick Chicago, or Detroit or NYC or Philly and party with the real fans, not the cruisers.
If you’re on the west coast go for it (I would, too) but, if not, why choose a petting zoo over a safari?

I think Las Vegas appeals to many people because it is a smaller venue, Just the idea of being in Vegas for a couple of days on a holiday weekend is the epitome of a fun vacation. Throw in Queen and Adam and it’s almost too good to be true. Not for everyone. But if there were no east coast shows I’d be there in a NY minute.

TLKC, I wanted to go to Las Vegas because it would be a chance to see the West Coast Friends, it is a smaller venue, and I have never been there. I thought it would be lots of fun to get together there, and the timing of the concert looked good, considering the rest of my planned trip. Now I am not so sure, considering that I would be in transit for more than 24 hours, only be able to stay for 3 days, and have to cut short other parts of my trip. Haven’t definitely decided yet.

Just drove by the SAP center in San Jose and saw the billboard announcement of Queen and Adam. I’m just so crazy proud and thrilled at what Adam has accomplished. My family on the other hand plans to leave the city for the day.

Hello My Lovlies,
It is I, Planet Fierce. I have been lurking, but no time to post. Just listening to my Adam collection in my car going back and forth to work and waiting and waiting and waiting to hear news of the tour with Queen or new music from our boy.
So yay, there is a tour, and I have cleared take off to go to CT for the show at Mohegan Sun Casino. I have spent most of the last two hours trying to either update my membership on my oldish Adam Official account and when there was nothing available (no dashboard either), I opened a new account, paid for my membership and now I can’t get back into the account. Ground Control is not open until Monday morning and I have to go to work. Would anyone be so kind as to text me the code Monday morning please at 954-540-5695. I would forever be in your debt. What I have found that works, so far: Go in, click login. Delete any of your info that is there and re-input it. Then it should allow you to log in. Of course that is no guarantee that it will work on Monday morning.I would check at least a half hour before the sale; the other thing that worked for me was to re-register with a new pw. Sigh, this is so complicated.
I have zero experience with this way of buying tix,and wonder if it’s just as well to wait. I eventually got face value tix to honolulu from a fan on the site.
It will be interesting to see how sales go in western Canada, especially Winnipeg and Saskatoon. Winnipeg has been a big music city forever – home of The Guess Who – Saskatoon, only 250,000 people, has a huge jazz festival every summer.
At WWRY with a friend in Dallas and the HUGE buzz is the tour. We ate at the restaurant in Music Hall before the show and there isn’t anyone we talked to that didn’t know about it. People were so excited, asking questions about Adam but honestly I didn’t hear one person say anything negative. Everyone wants tickets.
The London show is SO much better but it is a super fun musical. I actually would go see it for the 6th time!

Wow, there is a fabulous segue in that Fox5News video posted by Ulti above. They fade from Freddie’s voice right into Adam’s and both sound excellent, only slightly different, bur Adam sounds so wonderful right next to Freddie it should make some people think twice about not going!
