The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!

With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

    Couple of back-to-backs and a threesome – 12/13/14 – hasn’t done a tour like this for a while – do you have to get in “training,” Ron, for a tour like this – especially when the music can be difficult to sing?

    All of Adam’s training since he was 10 years old will be put to good use for this tour. I’m not at all worried.

    I WAS worried for him during GNT but look how wonderfully he managed that and more than pulled it off. Not one “bum” note in 113 performances!

    Granted, Queen’s music is much more strenuous but, if anything, Adam’s voice has become richer and fuller and more resonant since Idol and GNT and he’s grown and matured so much since then.

    He knows how to do it.

    I think he’ll be … “okay”. Wink

    I’m from Connecticut … Stamford … and I never heard of Uncasville, CT. Just looked it up and it’s 80 miles east of Stamford. New Haven would be the mid-way point.

    Wonder why that venue was chosen? It just seems a rather obscure choice to me.

    Good to get your take, Ron, on Adam’s not finding a strenuous tour like this problematic. Suspected he wouldn’t do it if he didn’t have confidence in his abilities, but appreciate having that validated.

    The final venue is an outdoors one with capacity of 15k or 19k (different sites). The Vegas one looks FABULOUS sound wise, capacity 4000. The first has 19k capacity. Bet Vegas might be hard to get, though.

    The Mohegan Sun Arena is smaller, “only” 10,000 seats. MIght be an advantage? Plus apparently it gets great ratings from Billboard as a concert venue, so I’m finding it tempting and I live in nyc.

    Lots of bands do that. And Mohegan sun gets Boston/ Rhode Island too

    Hope someone asked if set list will be the same as 2012. Wonder if Brian has stamina for that loooong solo he performed during his and Roger’s section of the show. In that show, 2 hrs + long! Adam sang for about 1 1/2 hrs +/- which is ok for him.

    It is a great venue. Gigantic!

    The last time I was there was in 2006 to see Barbra Streisand and it was sold out.

    I’m so hoping it will be the same for Queen and Adam. Fingers Crossed

    Is that a realistic expectation though?

    I guess there’s no real answer to that right now. We’ll just have to wait and see.

    Too mind boggling. When tickets go on sale will it be all venues at one time? The L.A. Forum is a great venue. It was just completly refurbished (70 mil $) but LV would be fab. Because of small size. Is it worth it to join Queen Fan club??? Help!

    retjenney the press release from Queenonline indicated that Queenonline subscribers will be sent an email with links and a passcode on March 10. I registered there…I think that’s subscribing (???). Didn’t say fan club members specifically. Does anyone else have better info from Queen sources…aely???

    I’m not surprised that the majority of the shows are in the northern part of the States and in Canada. I saw the stats of their last tour here long ago, and it did much better in the North,(not sure why). I feel Chicago calling my name. I need a short car trip or an uncomplicated plane trip and it offers both. Hope you are all smiling ear to ear like I am. So thrilled for him and for us fans. Big Smile Airplane Star Car Victory

    Paul got all kinds of crap when he fronted Queen. I have to say though the positive outweighs the negative by a ton on twitter. I refuse to even be bothered by a bunch of blowhards that probably don’t even know Love Of My Life or anything much about Queen. This is so huge for Adam and ALL the massive press and radio stations reporting on it (and there are more than I could possibly look at) have nothing but praise for him and the tour.

    I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! Four stops in western Canada!!!!!! My home town even! Hoping to score good tix for both Calgary and Vancouver. My sister and I have been on the phone plotting how to buy them, as I will be in Hawaii and she works.
