The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

SQUEEEEEE! Is Chicago central enough for a major ALL get-together? I guess the rest of the dates will be announced at 10:30 and we can figure out the key places and dates. OMG!!!! So excited. I love Chicago and the weather is beautiful at that time of year. Lots of conventions, though, so out-of-towners will need to book early.

The upcoming 19-date North American tour will feature original Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, and kicks off June 19 at the United Center in Chicago. The tour will take May, Taylor and Lambert to cities including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Vancouver, Montreal and Las Vegas.
The tour will wrap July 21 in Washington, D.C., at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Just read that the Washington DC concert is actually in Maryland. How close is that? I’ve never been to DC and it is supposed to be the last US concert. It makes sense to attend that concert if it can be combined with a few days of sight-seeing. Also, aren’t Kradamour and Adamized from that area?

Hi RON. If it is full arena Adam will be in a nice spot, as long as he doesn’t spend it all on jackets. I read that J-Lo and Enrique CLEARED $1 million per show two summers ago. At an average ticket price of $100 plus merchandise sales, an arena concert sell-out could gross $2 million. Queen has to pay a lot of people and expenses after that but it’s possible Adam could get 10% of net. It depends on the venue size and whether they do a full capacity concert. Some arenas offer a half-bowl option.
A flat fee could be in place but it will be a good one and, unlike GN, Adam would not have to pay out band, travel or equipment expenses, though his management will take a chunk of what he earns.
There’s also something else special about June 19th.
Coincidentally, I saw Adam for the first time on that date when he did his GNT show at the Wham Bam KISS 92.5 Festival here in Toronto.
