Didn’t know that Longineau left Yellowcard but honestly don’t care much. Never really liked him. I always felt he didn’t want to be there when drumming for Adam. Dour looking most of the time.
I’m thinking about getting ear plugs for the Q+AL concert. I’ve had issues with sound at previous concerts so thought that ear plugs might help. Anyone have any recommendations? I have the foam ones but they muffle sounds. Something not too expensive that let’s one hear the concert but not suffer from the loudness of the music…thanks!

I wear ear plugs (or at least bring them) to every concert I’ve ever been to. I bring a few foam ones in my purse but I usually wear the Hearos type. Been looking for them in my house the last couple of weeks but can only find one! So I’ll have to buy new ones. This is an example from Amazon.

But I can find them at Rite Air or CVS or pretty much anywhere. They can run from 10 bucks and up.
At the concert itself I do take them in and out because sometimes you don’t need them. You just have to try them out. But I won’t go without them just in case. Stuffing tissue paper in your ears just doesn’t work!
Ear plugs are a great idea AL. riskylady got me some from Amazon before my GNT concert and I have used them for all but the San Diego concert which was outside. They really saved my ears and didn’t muffle the sound at all. If you look on Amazon you can se the Etymolic ones, or ones that say for musicians. They are usually on a string so that you can take them out an hang them around your neck when you don’t need them. They cost between $10-$15 a pair at Amazon

A couple of years ago I went to the Dr. with an ear problem. He flushed out my ear and something about the size of a quarter popped out. It looked like a piece of bone. He took one look and said “have you been to any Rock Concerts? Uh, well, as a matter of fact, I have. His advice: Next time take ear plugs. NEVER put pieces of tissue in your ears! Wax forms around the tissue and it keeps growing. (Guilty)
Now I always have a handful of ear plugs for me and to share with my seat neighbors.
Did anyone else get an email that Adam added you to his google + and then get an email saying Adam is inviting you to the hangout? I just did. Weird. This whole thing is weird. At happy hour. Can’t check it out.

Not a clue what is going on but I guess if it is him I should ask him a question tomorrow. Wasn’t even going to watch it live. If it is a hoax then I will find out for sure soon. This whole event is just so random.
Got all kinds of Adam/Google+ emails – Added – Invited – Cancelled – (so I guess I’ll ignore them all).
LOL, ulti yeah, it doesn’t mean anything but it is funny. I didn’t get any cancelled ones though and only got those two emails. I wonder if he has to add people so they can ask questions? Oh well. I have a feeling as soon as this thing is over Google + will go away. But, it does looks like he is adding people according to twitter.
AL, when I went to London, knowing that I would be standing up close one night, I did some research and tried out a few hearing protection devices. I tried the ones Luval mentioned, Hearos, but didn’t like how they felt in my ear. They felt as though I had a stick in the ear. I settled on Music Safe Classic Earplugs for Musicians. They feel good in my ear and allows good sound to come through, but protecting you from harmful. You can still carry on a conversation with others while you have them in. The only draw back, I suppose, is that they must be inserted with an applicator, a small stick. It come with two filters, one for maximum protection (gold) and another for medium (silver).

I bought mine at a store selling guitars and other instruments. I also take foam ones with me in case I decide I want to use those instead.
If you don’t get around to picking anything up, foam ones will have to do.

Love the eye make-up. Not overdone and perfect for the occasion, Sutan’s party.
Hell of a drummer though. Adam’s first band was the hardest-driving, most talented band he ever had (next to Queen of course.)
Longineau was definitely the Eeyore of the group – he seemed out-of-it the time I met him. When he left, he made a twitter comment about cutting back on his drinking. He was getting married and the road is the perfect place to give into your demons and addictions.
IMHO, Adam’s first band scored a perfect 10 on the “Winnie-the-Pooh” appeal scale:
Pooh = Monte (the quiet middle)
Tigger = Adam (the bouncy)
Piglet = Tommy (quiet, shy, little)
Eeyore = Longineau (the glum)

That Tabernacle video made me nostalgic for the make-up, actually.
Of course, Adam is experimenting with looks at the moment and he isn’t likely to ignore the paint box, is he? It probably won’t amount to a whole lot of colour or drama though – he has to know the crowd. He recently said that he is over it, so maybe just a bit of expertly applied liner and mascara.
Agree rs about the makeup. I knew it would be back. Love it at times but always looked much better without the mustache. He said the eye makeup was kind of retired. Well, it’s come out of retirement. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a bit on the Queen stage. Such huge arenas he probably wants to stand out amongst the lights and sets.
“google glamily” ugh. Hate that expression and beginning to hate anything connected with google.
