Nice tootsies, mils!
A few articles in Quebec papers about Adam and the concert.

Beware of Google translations!
Ste.Agathe Paper – a week ago
Montreal paper-07/22
ETA – on the first link, at the bottom left, there is a survey about the festival and ticket purchasing.
Ok I still cant get my avatar, and its a good one. lol, anyhow any guesses on us stay at home folks as to the set list list???/
That was a nice impromptu visit from TLKC.
Calgary, if you don’t like large crowds, I’ll protect you!
Hi AL! Thanks for the Link! I wish I got a big kick out of fireworks. Even as a kid, everyone else on July 4th would be “OOOH! WOW!” and I’d be thinking, “What’s the big deal?”
I was such a cheerful child.
Hi Miss Chaos!!
Did you register here with the same username and password that you used on MJ’s/WorldPress?
I told as many people here that asked about it to be VERY SURE that they register with the same username and password. Wish I had taken my own advice! I registered with a different username while keeping the same password.
I can’t see avatars or emoticons or edit my comments on Firefox. Maybe you’re having the same problem? I have to use IE browser, which I don’t like, and then it all falls into place.
ETA: I’m using IE now and I don’t see your avatar either.
Sigh. I’m a bad fan. I never listen to recorded Adam; I don’t enjoy a single one of his studio recordings. I do
loveADORE his live performances, whether in person or on youtube, more than a sane person should, but I don’t enjoy the recorded products.I am hoping against hope that I will like CD #2. Of course I will buy it whether I like it or not, just as I bought everything else. But if I don’t like it, no problem; there will still be the tour and THAT cannot fail to please!
nekkid you got your ticket!!!!! WOOOOOOOOT!
Now for Ron – still a few days left!
Oh, I don’t think there’s anything in that black bag for me, Kradamour.
I called the number for buying tickets this morning. Not receiving my ticket was due to the Postal strike according to the Operator. I purchased my Passport 5 weeks before the strike. It certainly factors into the delay/non-delivery but they had 5 weeks to mail this to me.
She put me on ‘hold’ then told me that, in addition to a receipt, I need and she would give me both a “client number” and a new “confirmation number”. I was also told to bring photo ID. My lapsed driver’s license would be fine as long as my address is on it.
I had to ask her, “How would I or anyone else know to do this? It’s not on the website. Good thing I called, isn’t it?” She didn’t answer me.
There’s still Monday and Tuesday but I also have Plan B ready to take with me.
ETA: I purchased the Passport 7 weeks before the Postal strike.
Ron, I always enjoy your literary and dramatic references, even when wry and resulting from distress.

Black bag? Maybe not. But perhaps the postal worker’s bag, be it brown or other.
Ok now this is funny:

Backwards version of Voodoo. The “lyrics” are a total crack up.
Yup, me too
Yup, me too
Yup, me too
You are not alone!
Love the backward Voodoo, cwm!
and OMG she did others, too…the backward FYE is amazing!

“Eat me fast I’m lunch meat”
Ron, it’s always great talking to you!
I’m hoping your tickets will arrive so you don’t have that hassle when we get there!
As for all of you here that are unable to attend the dinner and concert in Ste Agathe, you will be missed! Hugs to you all!
Completed first leg of trip. Visiting with family in
Northeastern Nebraska. Saw last min of SYTYCD with
Mitchell & Clarice leaving last night. Motel room in
Laramie, Wy. Go Sasha
jlurk, you are the first one on the road to Ste Agathe! Thanks for marking the trail…
are you leaving bread crumbs along the way so we can follow?
Yay, jlurksacto! Good to hear from you! Enjoy your visit with family. Keep cool. I bought a new collar today.
SO glad your ticket arrived, nkd!! You can put all of those concerns away for good. Very happy for you!
jlurksacto…happy that you made it to Nebraska safely! Have a great visit with your family.
Thank you Ron!
Now to listen to backwards Voodoo!
I read a comment last week or so when some of the other backwards songs were posted, that Adam’s fans were so bored waiting on new music that they now starting listening to the old ones backwards!
Those of us who are only 29 weren’t around of course, but some might remember when Beatles fans listened to songs backwards to hear what were supposedly secret messages…for example, “Paul is dead”…there were others, too, I think?
Leaving a great crumbsy trail. Ron, studded collar in honor
Of Adam?
What are you saying kradamour, Adam really is lunch meat?!!
Sigh, I’ll go back and exchange it.
I have a question…
As our birthdays roll around, are we still 29, or do we turn 30?
Maybe we’ll be 30 once Adam has his birthday?
This all depends upon how good you are at visualizing.
Silly nekkid! Eggplant!
Huh? Elaborate, please!
If you can visualize yourself staying at 29, it will happen. Like the concert in Quebec!
How could I forget?!!!
I can think of some varieties of lunch meat that would be fitting, also!
Off to bed for me. Gotta get up early for a convo with Adamized at 9 am. Ooh, final planning! Ste Agathe is REAL!
G’nite peeps! Sweet Adam dreams!
Well dang, I’ve pulled it off for this long, a few more months shouldn’t change things! 29 it is! Y’all just let me know when it’s time to grow up!
OFHS, nekkid! To the corner with you!
Good night kradamour!
I refrained! You, kradamour, brought up the eggplant!
(sternly) that was only a clarification of an incorrect statement, nekkid. Now off you go! (smile) Of course, the adamphernalia is still there, so this isn’t really a punishment!
Now really g’nite!
I pretty much agree with Kradamour about Adam’s recorded songs. Some things that I go back to again and again:
The uncompressed “Can’t Let You Go” on the imported CD, played on my Bose, is incomparably thrilling. One can drown in the beauty of his voice.
The vocals on the studio version of “Feeling Good” – the track I use to introduce Adam’s voice and technique to uninitiates – are mindboggling.
Never fail to find exciting the AITour WLL introductions – particularly the crazy laughing girl vid where she’s screaming, “He’s here! He’s here!” Know the feeling.
Even the Idol vids – watching Kara shaking her head in disbelief at what she just witnessed – so great.
No, I don’t listen to the album much – the life force that is Adam isn’t quite there. The man is made to look at, watch, and love.
Word.
nkd, will you be in NY during the concert? Have you been there before?
Oksana, you asked if I liked NY? Are you kidding? I have been there before, but, I really fell in love with it this time. It was hot, we were busy, I spent way more money than I should have on cabs, should have taken the subway, but, what the heck, we had a ball. Our hotel room was beyond fabulous. We were upgraded for no reason that we know of to the owner’s suite for no extra charge. It was on the 23rd floor, with views of the Manhattan skyline on three sides.
That’s right. Three sides. From the 23rd floor. We could see everything. Rooftop gardens and decks were below us. We were just a couple of blocks from the Dakota, at 75th and Broadway, off Central Park West. I swear, we were in about 5 million dollars of Manhattan real estate. Our suite was as big as my house! We were so high up, that the shower had a window and no blinds! When we were leaving to go home, I stood with my arm around my son’s waist, and we got all ferklempt. It was so beautiful, looking out at Manhattan, we had had such a wonderful experience together.
And that was before I saw BIG!
RE: the live vs recorded controversy:
I still have a CD of Adam’s AI stuff that I pop in once in a while. ROF, One and Feeling Good to be specific.
Funny, while driving home from work today, One by U2 came on the radio, and all I could think was “meh.” So, I popped in my Adam CD, and , wow, so much better. Adam absolutely killed that song. Slayed it and owns it.
But, generally speaking, live is best. Especially from the first few rows. Right in front of your face. Sweating and singing his face off. Bending backwards, … gah….
mils, my daughter and I will be going to NY on Sat 7/30 after the concert! Museums, shopping, sightseeing and Phantom of the Opera! It’s her birthday present!
Oh, good! because I just happened to be on YouTube and had to listen to studio version of ACIGC a few times. You know, the way he crafted that song, the perfect octave changes, the little R&B runs, the glory notes – it’s just PERFECT in every way. He “engineered” every ounce of meaning and nuance to perfection – that’s the great thing about studio recordings, that they can be so perfect and enjoyed over and over. I do think he is maybe the greatest improvisor live I have ever heard and I love that too – he has no equal live in my opinion. But in the studio, he’s also a master of ingenuity and can really “sell” a song to the max.
Someone on the DDD said that his studio version of “Feeling Good” is perfect in every way: It has everything it needs, and has nothing it doesn’t need to be perfect. I think that’s true of most of his work.
But, kradam, you’re NOT a bad fan (should send you to the corner for that one). You just like what you like. Just like the rest of us.
nkd: we did the cheesy, touristy, cliche thing, we actually took one of those tricycle taxi’s through the Park. It was hotter than hell, the driver was from the Sudan, very broken English, and so funny we were non-stop laughing! Every time he would point out something to us, he had a shtick ( routine), he would look left, look right, look back at us, and say something like, ” You guys know the American actor, Voody Allen?” “He lives there” Very thick accent, and dripping sweat, wiping himself off with a huge towel. I almost felt guilty. Then, I realized, he’s from Africa, he seems to be actually enjoying his job, so, no guilt.
“You know the famous American TV shoe Friends? This is de fountain” “You know de famous American movie Borrrat?” “Dees is where he vashes the underrrpunts.” My son almost fell out of the carriage with that one.
Nkd. You simply must do this. So cheesy.
Mils, if only we could get the same driver!!!
But anyone driving me around in the hot, sounds divine!
I must go to the clouds, feathers, eyebrows, or wherever we are bunking these days! I have to work in the morning!
Good night everyone!
Good morning, 7/23/10 saw the Glam Nation Tour play the first of two dates at The Warfield in San Francisco:

Anyone interested in Sauli’s blog?
http://sauli-news.livejournal.com/4891.html
Says he’s taking a little trip.
Thanks for the link, luval!
I enjoyed this part:
Sauli really does sound so positive, and serious but not necessarily deep, if that makes sense? I really admire his willingness to put himself out there in the search for friends and connections. Love his wry humor.
Good Morning,
I was just thinking that, considering the amount of attention and revenue that Adam has brought and will draw to this Festival, the mayor should present Adam with a Key to The City!
Or, maybe it should be Key to The Town? Key to The Village? Key to This Tiny Hamlet?
“Adam Lambert, as Mayor of the Munchkin city, I proudly present to you The Key to This Speck on Earth that we call Ste. Agathe. Welcome and congratulations!”
I would bet that Lise, from the SpaWatel, goes to the concert to see why her hotel was fully booked within 24 hours of Adam’s appearance being announced.
An interesting article about marriage equality. What is the most interesting is the source: the AARP magazine. Not so long ago, AARP would never have published this article; that older demographic was supposedly very opposed to same-sex protections. Another important step!

Hi all! Just got back from RL and brought you all some fresh croissants from Paris!
