Hi everyone!   I realize some of you don’t like the eyes pictures but I think this one is beautiful.  I think of looking ahead to the Festival, new single, next album and tour when I look at this picture.  This month all of us will have a huge treat to look forward to with Adam performing at the St. Agathe en Feux Festival and my good friend Suz526’s videos on 7/29!   Please keep us all updated on the plans of the rather sizeable group of you who will be attending this concert as those of us who can’t make it to Canada will live vicariously through you for this one!

    Thongs are flip flops for Aussies, but G-string type pants for Brits (pants as in Knickers, not pants as in trousers!) Whew, getting a bit complicated.

    nope not a word. Ok maybe about 4 words! my eldest daughter speaks just about enough Cantonese to get by in a restaurant/market etc. My youngest 2 learn Mandarin at school.Chinese is not an easy language to learn and Mandarin and Cantonese are very different. In Mandarin each word has 4 meanings depending on the tone you use, and in Cantonese each word has 7 meanings (7tones),plus you don’t get any visual help with the writing like you do in European languages. I don’t seem to be able to hear where one word ends and another begins, let alone hear the tones. English is very widely spoken here, and all signs are in both English and Chinese.

    Just want to drop in and say hello before I go to bed.

    I’ve been on the road all over many states. Tomorrow will be in Kansas City.

    Last year at this time, I was at Midland theatre, KC, breathing the same air with BB.

    This year … depressed Frown I won’t get to see him.

    I didn’t have my laptop with me so I had missed all the drama .. the house and the address. But it seems everything is alright now. Everybody did the right thing.

    I’m lurking off and on. Can’t wait until the QC Festival.

    Happy and excited for all concert goers.

    Why don’t you two simply cycle your way over to Ste.-Agathe? It’s not THAT far away from Calgary. LOL

    Might get to be a bit uncomfortable on the ‘hiny after the first thousand miles though … maybe just a tad … so please take that into consideration. LOL

    Haha Ron! I would LOVE to ride around that part of the country, but I’m a little late to start riding there from Calgary – at the rate I ride I might make it to Winnipeg by the 29th! I’m so sorry you can’t go – so near yet so far.

    Reading all this stuff about Ste Agathe tempts me soooo much, but I had to go fight the bank about an nsf cheque today – a temporary state but still… I have been educating my friend who lives there – she doesn’t know who Adam is, nor, to my amazement, did she know what American Idol was! I have my work cut out for me.Wink

    Calgary, the only reason your smiley face didn’t work is because you didn’t leave a space between the period after “me” and the colon eyes of the smiley face. Just make sure that you have a space before and a space after your smiley face and you should be fine! Smile

    BTW, I read a bit of Ari Gold’s twitter page. He is a NY-based singer, who a few days ago was apparently told to move to the back of a bus (on the way to the Catskills) by the bus driver (who stopped the bus to demand that they move, and then when they refused, called the police) because he and his boyfriend were sitting in the front of the bus holding hands and sharing an ipod, making the bus driver “uncomfortable.” OMG are you kidding me? What year is this? First I find that beautiful Edge of Glory video, and then this. What a strange strange juxtaposition.

    cwm, the back of the bus post provided a grim smile here…and not an amused smile. But it so bluntly presents the issues involved, if anyone doesn’t already “get” the parallels between racial and orientation discrimination. I hope it gets a lot of press.

    Oddly enough, the sky here in SE Virginia was also astonishing yesterday, the beauty caught me by surprise and I stopped the car to gaze. Every emotion was in those clouds.

    Ah, BWI. I remember when it was a tiny little airport, in high school we used to go and watch the planes from the public observation deck on dates. Everyone laughed when they changed the name from “Friendship” to “Baltimore Washington International”, because there were no direct international flights.

    I think I’ll run the Maryland flag up our flagpole today.

    Many thanks for the sweet video, cwm. It definitely brought tears to my eyes. I love “The Edge of Glory”, and it was just perfect for that story. It seems that you were up all kinds of late last night bringing us goodies. I keep forgetting about the time difference from where you are at, so it wasn’t really too terribly late for you. Wink

    Ron, I’m so sorry to hear that you won’t be able to make it to Sainte-Agathe, I was looking forward to meeting you. Hopefully it will work out sometime during the next tour.

    Thanks dcglam. I’m glad you liked the treats. Yeah, I was up rather late, but I’m 3 hours earlier here, so it doesn’t look as bad as it appears on the timestamp! My intent was to be getting some work done last night, but Adam goodies kept drawing me in and away from my work. Anybody else ever have that problem? Wink

    The only concert that I wish with all my heart that I could have attended was the Fantasy Springs performance. It just stands alone, IMO. Adam really had his gay on, and it totally worked. I watch those videos regularly, delighted to have them all in one place that I can access with a single click!
