Hi everyone!   I realize some of you don’t like the eyes pictures but I think this one is beautiful.  I think of looking ahead to the Festival, new single, next album and tour when I look at this picture.  This month all of us will have a huge treat to look forward to with Adam performing at the St. Agathe en Feux Festival and my good friend Suz526’s videos on 7/29!   Please keep us all updated on the plans of the rather sizeable group of you who will be attending this concert as those of us who can’t make it to Canada will live vicariously through you for this one!

Thursday evening July 7th update: thanks to angelowal, we now have a translated link to FAQs for the Festival!

Thanks for posting this jlurksacto. Fun song — I’ve had it on my ipod for a while now and always enjoy listening to it. I wish the production were a little cleaner and that Adam’s vocals were more out front, though.

We can certainly use a new old song right about now. Thanks for posting, jlurksacto! This is a great workout song, but I do agree with you, cwm, regarding the production and Adam’s vocals.

After playing a couple of music festivals in Michigan, Adam and company resumed the Glam Nation Tour on 7/15/10 in Kansas City:

Oksana, sorry I just “disappeared” last night – all things related to Verizon (phone, internet, tv) just died at midnight. You should’ve seen me scrambling to make sure I’d paid the bill! I had paid it, spent too long on the phone with customer service to find that it was them, not me. Whew!

Hope you know that the “accent” comments were meant as a compliment. It’s just an extra pleasant flavor when reading your already very interesting and entertaining posts!

The Kansas City show was my first last summer. I can still remember how Adam literally took my breath away when he appeared at the top of those stairs. I can’t wait for all the excitement for the new music, publicity appearances, and the tour. Lots of fun coming up.

Ron, is your burn serious enough that it might prevent you from going to the upcoming concert? Gosh, I was thinking you had just a minor burn. Fingers crossed (mine, not yours – that might hurt Big Smile that the healing will be fast.

  5. Kradamour says:

Fingers crossed that I’ll be able to go to Ste.-Agathe to meet all of you wonderful people that will be there. At this point, I’m not sure that I’m going to be there with you. Frown

Okay, this is totally not acceptable, Ron. I don’t mean to be insensitive, but really you need to just drag yourself to Ste Agathe no matter what it takes. You can rest on your tree limb when you get there. Sheesh. Rolls Eyes

(Not really, of course. But sort of really. Wink )

Good morning! Yesterday I drank espresso too late and was awake for a long, long time. Usually I fall asleep watching anything on TV after 9PM. If not for DVR I wouldn’t be able to see anything.. Frown
Texas, I know what you meant when you said that I write with an “accent”. I think it’s cute too… Smile
At least I check my spelling before I post something. If I see one more time that Adam has “rapid fan base”,( instead of “rabid”), I’ll scream…
So Adam decided that it is “tank-top” time. Huh? He seems to be working out, could be Sauli’s influence, I know that Sauli is quite athletic. It seems to me also that Adam feels much more confident about his body.I know that most of the fandom is waiting with a bated breath for the day Adam will go SHIRTLESS…Yup.
    Any day now….hehe..

  8. Oksana2000 says:

Could it be that Alisan Porter tweet about “pooping Glamberts” was referring to this Project Runway rumour?
Someone on MJ got excited, cause Nina Garcia mentioned Adam in her tweet.(Nina is Fashion director at Elle and judge on PR)

  9. dcglam says:

Could be, Oksana — still hoping, but waiting for confirmation from Adam!

  10. Oksana2000 says:

dcglam, Adam never tweets anything unless it’s a sure thing, usually already done deal.
We had other Idols tweeting about events that never materialised and they looked like a fool afterwards.

  11. Oksana2000 says:

Adam should endorse hair products. His hair is fabulous and has a life of its own.
Most men hates him for that, probably… Frown

  12. Kradamour says:

    This!

    Smart boy! Wink

Regarding Adam’s hair….. I love this line from the article:

Adam Lambert, whose hair is working it in ways I can’t even describe in words, was so cool when we chatted.

ETA: Haha kradamour….. You are too fast, and I am too slow! Smile

  14. jlurksacto says:

Margie, one of Cher’s group, got her passeport/ticket yesterday.
First report of someone getting theirs?

  15. Oksana2000 says:

The secret to Adam’s hair standing mysteriously up is that this is the way his hair grows! Look at his very early pictures. Methinks that he had to do a lot of work to get his early emo hairdo.

LOL…. So, kradamour is too fast, I’m too slow, and you are too funny, Oksana!
Off to research those early pics….. Wink

As you all know I am bored and also statistic freak. So out of boredom I compared number or comments for the first six AI concerts in 2009 and 2011. (Season 9 didn’t happen)
    Here we go:
    2009 2011
    1118 477
    537 190
    486 101
    812 64
    449 73
    470 71
Either there is nothin to talk about this year (no controversy), or people don’t give a damn anymore..
I have to admit, that on average 400 comments were about Adam, and MJ prolly deleted another 200 due to extensive fanwarring.. Those were the days, my friend, we hoped they never end…

  18. Oksana2000 says:

dcglam, look at his picture where he works at Starbuck.

  19. dcglam says:

IMHO, the Glamberts (as vocal as we are) made up a large part of those 2009 comment numbers. Say no more……

  20. Kradamour says:

Those were the days, my friend, we hoped they never end…

    Love that song, Oksana.

And note that if you add 400 (the number that you estimated were about Adam in 2009) to the actual number of comments in 2011, you pretty much get a number similar to the 2009 concerts.
    Cool.

  21. Oksana2000 says:

    Yup.
And As I mentioned above, a lot, some comments were deleted by MJ.

You might have something there, Oksana. I wonder if he actually does his own hair like that for his everyday “normal” activities (when not performing) or if he has help.

  23. Oksana2000 says:

Those were the days, my friend, we hoped they never end…

    Love that song, Oksana.

Kradamour, I would love that song even more, if the music wasn’t stolen from a russian song I remember from my childhood…

  24. Oksana2000 says:

I wonder if he actually does his own hair like that for his everyday “normal” activities (when not performing) or if he has help.

dcglam, I remember him saying that he wanted a haircut that he doesn’t have to do anything..his latest style looks like that and I FLOVE it..I hope he’ll keep blond highlights..

  25. Oksana2000 says:

Kradamour, Google rules. Look what I found.

Those Were the Days” is a song credited to Gene Raskin, who put English lyrics to the Russian song “Dorogoi dlinnoyu” (“Дорогой длинною”, lit. “By the long road”), written by Boris Fomin (1900–1948) with words by the poet Konstantin Podrevskii.

My memory is still good… Smile

Kradamour, I would love that song even more, if the music wasn’t stolen from a Russian song I remember from my childhood…

That is so interesting, Oksana! I thought at the time that the music was not of our culture. The pacing was wrong for us.

    4. A condom. You never know when you (or a friend) might need one.

(Oksana, I haven’t seen a pay phone for a very long time. Are they still a quarter? Do they still exist?)

  30. nkd says:

Ohh, the black pouch! What’s inside, if anything?!!

Adam must have found a fabulous sale on black tanks!
But look at those pecs! Razz

  31. luval says:

Adam is so frugal he has only one black tank top. Just scrubs it in the sink with a washboard.

  32. nkd says:

    LOL luval!
    You’re probably right!

  33. Kradamour says:

    Love the frugality.
Wonder if Adam’s mom is living at his house? What an amazing thing to be able to offer her, such a wonderful place to live, if she does.

  34. Oksana2000 says:

Kradamour, I remember that he said that he bought his mom a condo in a very nice building in a very nice neighbourhood.
    You weren’t serious, were you?
Prolly his mom can visit him whenever she wants, but I can’t picture almost 30 year old man living with his mommy.

  35. ultimathule says:

Have always noticed, in addition to his multitude of other qualities, how beautifully shaped Adam’s head is. Truly ideal. And he is gracefully (not overly) muscled with shoulders that have always reminded me of soft pillows. He is fortunate, too, in not having the “rug match the drapes” – in that immortal phrase, allowing him to wear that tank top without scaring the natives.

  36. Oksana2000 says:

ultimathule,he has a little hair on his chest, but he is a ginger. I think if you are not a brunette, you can have the best of both worlds.

  37. Oksana2000 says:

(Oksana, I haven’t seen a pay phone for a very long time. Are they still a quarter? Do they still exist?)

Kradamour, yes, they do still exist in the city. Not everyone has cell phone. However I have seen less and less of them. I’m not sure about quarter. If I ever see one I’ll check.

  38. Oksana2000 says:

Speaking of tank tops, I wonder what happened with that black and white plaid one. I doubt that Adam got rid of it. He is a typical male, gets attached to something and wears it forever.

  39. Ron says:

I have a HUGE blister that runs almost the full length of my right pinkie. Like bubble-wrap, I just want to pop it! Smile I’m so tempted but best to leave it alone. Thanks for you concern, TexasWannaHoldEm!

Ron sweetie, I hope that whatever it is that would keep you from making the trip to Ste Agathe is resolved soon. I would miss you terribly!

    Dear Kradamour and nkd.

What I’m going to miss the most is not being able to meet you and everyone else! Due to unforeseen circumstances, I won’t be able to join you in Ste.-Agathe. I can only look forward now to another time when we can be together.

  40. luval says:

Hello, I live in Central New York…just received my passport today!

  41. nkd says:

Ron, I’m reading your post as I’m getting a pedicure. I’m heartbroken! Frown
I’m going to keep hoping that somehow things will work out.

  42. cher says:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Ron!!!! I’m bummed you won’t be able to make it. I was sooooooooo looking forward to meeting you. Frown Frown Frown

  43. Oksana2000 says:

Ron, for heaven sake , be a man! It’s only one little pinky!!
You gonna dissapoint so many people who were looking forward to meet you.
    MEN!(pouts)

  44. Ron says:

I’m sure your post Oksana wasn’t meant to be taken seriously.

Surely you don’t really think that a blister on my finger that will have long healed itself within 2 weeks would stop me from going to the concert.

There are several very involved reasons that are entirely beyond my control that prevent me from going.

I’m also sure that you don’t want to make me feel worse than I already do.

  45. cwm says:

Awww, Ron, I’m so sorry that you won’t be able to make it to the concert. I know how much you were looking forward to it, so you must be very very disappointed. You’re not saying much about why you can’t go, so whatever the reason is, I hope that you and the people you love are ok and that nothing is seriously wrong.

If it’s any consolation and if you’re able to be around your computer that evening, those of us not able to go will be having a “virtual wine and chocolate party” here at ALL to enjoy the virtual show virtually together. We’d love to have you join us if you can. Smile

Again, I feel bad for you and for everyone who was so looking forward to meeting you.

  46. AL says:

Ron, I sent an e-mail to your “…tico…” account. Hopefully, it does not get tossed in the spam/junk folder! Wink

Sorry to hear that you are not able to make it to the concert. Hope that you can join us around the online concert campfire that night for our “virtual wine and chocolate party” as cwm said. At least we won’t need to apply bug spray!

  47. milwlovesadam says:

Okay. So. I’ve been away for a few days, popped in to say hello last night, and I’m trying really hard to catch up.

    1) Ron, hope you feel better soon. See a doctor, and get some Silvadene cream. It is the salve of choice at my hospital’s burn unit. It also was miraculous when my son suffered a bad burn a few years ago. He barely even has a scar. Sorry to hear about you and the concert, but, stick with us few stragglers here. I’ll share my wine and chocolate with you. .. Well, maybe the wine. Hah! Have you Googled Memphis yet? We couldn’t get tickets in Times Square for Lion King. There are two shows they never sell at TCKTS: Lion King and Wicked.

    2) Something happened with Adam’s house. Fer the love of this Glambert, somebody please let me in on the news.

    3) It seems that not only did I not connect with Adam whilst in Manhattan, but I missed out on several of you. I’m so sorry. I had limited time, and several places to be. It also seems that I was in The Village and just a few blocks away from the boy. And he was at the Highline, sh******t.

    4) Oh well. I saw BIG. Toured several campuses. Ate very good food. Saw a show. Saw the park and Strawberry Fields and the Dakota, Times Square, The Arch, Radio City, 30 Rock, so much. And Drag Queens, to boot.

    5) True thing: On one block of The Village, We saw, a monk in brown robe with rope sandals, another monk/priest in a white robe with sandals, several Hasidic Jews, people from China, Africa, the Middle East, many young college gays, a bunch of straight students with petitions for LGBT rights, several students doing their Jews for Jesus thing ( don’t get me started on that one please ), tourists galore, musicians playing for money, old folks holding hands and walking, children cooling off in the fountain, street vendors galore. Then, comes BIG.

    6) I love New York. The great thing is, whichever school makes my son the best offer, I get to go back to visit him. I will be working until I’m 90, but, I will be in New York as often as I can.

  48. cwm says:

    WHAT.IS.IN.THAT.LITTLE.BLACK.LEATHER.POUCH.THAT.ADAM.WEARS.ON.HIS.NECK.

I think it’s some kind of token of his and Sauli’s relationship. I don’t think it’s a lock of hair, though. LOL

  49. milwlovesadam says:

BTW. It was haaaaaaht on Tuesday in Manhattan. And Huuuuuumid. By Thursday, the wind picked up and it was very nice before we left. I never saw a good looking person on Tuesday or Wednesday. Everybody looked awful and melted.

Except for one person. We were in a taxi on 5th Avenue. Somewhere around maybe Hugo Boss. Anyway, HE crossed the street in front of our cab. Jaywalked. Tall. Dark hair parted on the side, perfectly combed. Strong jawline. Chiseled nose. Linen trousers. Perfect European slip-ons, in dark shiny brown leather. White collarless shirt, perfectly pressed, tucked in just enough, but billowed in the breeze. Perfect watch. Model? Perhaps. Shop clerk? Perhaps. A vision? Yup.

CWM and AL, you’re both so sweet! Yes, AL, I received your email and, after I stop wiping away tears, I’ll respond.

I’ll be more than happy to join you for the wine and chocolate party!! Thanks for inviting me! mils, you can have all of my chocolate. I will accept your invitation to have some wine, though! Smile
