Miss you, too, chérie, and everyone, but life is more than nuts right now, and I decided that the only way to stay sane was to limit my time on the computer to only a quick email check daily.
My mother is in the hospital again, and has had so many issues … I have been thinking about ceddies and how she looked after her mom, and that has given me a lot of encouragement. Dementia issues and struggles to live alone and stay independent.
Son is getting ready to graduate from college and taking his LSAT and making plans for grad school, that is also a big distraction.
Some home improvement, badly timed.
Some community issues that I have been working on.
Just a LOT of real life. Not necessarily bad real life, just consuming.
I was actually thinking about Adam yesterday and realized that I have not heard or read his name (and of course his music is never played here) since the last time I was on the blog, before Christmas.
And then…there he was! in the newly-resurrected Newsweek magazine, and not in a good way. Will the fricking AMA’s NEVER be forgotten?!?!

I am so happy Nile won!! Was out half watching the Pro Bowl…boring…and half tweet watching (reading) the Grammy’s. Made it home in time to see Daft Punk win Album of the Year. Kind of makes me think if Adam had put out his album this year instead of last it really might have turned out differently. Anyway, I am sure there will be you tubes of the best performances I can watch. By twitter Pink & Nate, Imagine Dragons & Kendrick, and Nile, Stevie, Pharrell and Daft Punk were massive hits and clear favorites. So was Macklemore but I kept seeing things like, why do they keep cutting from the people kissing, there sure are a lot of straight couples, why are there not more LGBT artists involved…etc… so I am curious about that one. Any thoughts here?

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but there appeared to be only one gay PERFORMER on that show: Mary Lambert. People speculate about Latifah, but she refuses to answer the question, saying its private and not gonna happen. (I know, NPH presented.)
Seems like they cut away from any gay guys kissing, and there weren’t many anyway.
Sorry, to me just seems like empty gesture, lip service. Will it really change anything or anyone’s mind? Maybe the presence of an actual gay male musician would have been too much of a reminder of the REALITY of gayness, instead of just the concept as represented by the ethereal couples dressed in white???
Otherwise, pretty good show, although Nate sounded pitchy and not very good, Madonna didn’t sound great either, and why on earth didn’t they turn up the mikes of Willie Nelson, Kristofferson and Stevie Wonder??? Could barely hear them.
Oh, didn’t like that gobbledygook Beyoncé song either,
