mils, thanks for your words of encouragement. I know you’re right, and I will reschedule and keep the next appointment. I almost lost my hubbie a few years ago from a ruptured colon – undiagnosed diverticulitis – actually, a symptom-free diverticulitis. Very rare that it could have been this acute and not have been causing excruciating pain for him. Still … just can’t picture me and this procedure!!!
(luckily, I won’t be awake to enjoy it!)
glambotgram – Unfortunately, I think there’s always going to be a few “Sauli isn’t good enough for Adam” comments, from people who don’t recognize (or accept) how happy they are together and the good things that Sauli has brought to Adam’s life. And I’m guessing there’s an uptick in negativity after the Fingate incident, which is certainly not surprising. I think if Adam and Sauli keep putting out positive, healthy, happy vibes, naysayers will slowly be won over. And I think when we hear Adam’s new music, especially the songs he says were inspired by Sauli, that will go far toward winning over naysayers as well.
Like you, I too hope that Sauli doesn’t directly receive too much negativity. But I honestly don’t see it when I look at his twitter @replies and the comments on his blog. Generally it seems very positive and loving.

Thanks, mils! I’ve done all the other “regularly scheduled maintenance” that I’m supposed to do, just draggin’ my feet a bit on this one, but I will do it.
ETA: Hubby’s great – gets to enjoy the “cleanse” much more often than every 10 years and can’t eat nuts, popcorn, etc. So when he behaves, he’s fine!

I just did my second ’29-year-old cleanse’ of the year a couple of weeks ago. Drank Gatorade, ate lots of non-red jello, warm chicken broth. I also put some Campbell’s consomme in the fridge and eat jellied so it feels kind of like real food. I was really hungry the first time, not so much the second. The second time I got really chilled, which can happen, it’s not serious. Also, I prefer to drink the ‘cleanser’ close to room temperature, and I cheated and added True Lemon powder and Splenda to make it taste like lemonade!
The rest of the “cleanse” was a piece of cake. Nevertheless I’d prefer to do the one Adam and Sauli did!
Calgary, your lemon tip is great – my doctor told me to bite a lemon slice before drinking the yucky-stuff, so it definitely must help! Hearing how all you other 29-year olds have already cleansed, I’m ready to reschedule.

Texas, you can get very creative. I used sugar free lemonade mix and made hot and cold lemonade out of the uckey stuff. You can have chicken or beef broth and my Dr. let me have hard candy to suck on. I’v had three and it’s gotten easier each time as I’ve learned more things. I love Adam and Sauli together. They may be opposites in looks but I feel they have a lot in common personality wise. Nice video CWM.

I had mine scheduled for the week before Thanksgiving as I wanted to not have to think about it during the holidays–nor would it be hanging over me after the new year started. Mom got in the hospital so I postponed it. Now I’ve been tied up clearing things up after her death. So, I’ve just now set a new date–TO CALL FOR APPOINTMENT–in February. There, now that goal is on the books!! (wipes hands together, job is done)ETA: This will be my second one.
Yup. Room temp, and sugar free lemon Crystal Light. Piece of cake!
Anyhoo. Adam’s cleanse sounds much tastier. It’s so LA. Wonder if they have anything like that in my town? Prolly on our trendy east side of town. Yes, my town has a trendy side!! We’re not all cheese-heads here!

Yay for Adam being on Ellen. Boo for the fact that few, if any, of us will get to see him live. That is one of, if not the, toughest ticket to get. Those tickets were probably gone long before this announcement. Most of them probably have no idea the treat they are in for.

OOOHH Adam on TV again, performing and talking. I am sure she will bring up Fin-Gate. She loves him but always puts him on the spot. I am also sure this has to be the first appearance that is showing up. There must be many more. Hopefully the Talk again. I never watch it otherwise but he was great on there and they loved him also. Who am I kidding, he turns on those Baby Blues and that megawatt smile and charms the pants off of everyone.
Knowing Ellen, I feel it will be with a dash of humor.
I really hope for once if Ellen asks him before the show if there is anything he’d rather her not bring up, that he would say Fin-gate & AMA’s. I’m sure she’d respect his wishes if he chose not to talk about this.

Well, last night I gave myself an Il Divo concert. Just love their Oh Holy Night. Home sick today ( I gotta cold in my nose ), and so far, it’s been GN Live DVD, from my sofa, with hot tea and kleenex near by. Gaga and more Gaga. And Adele. And Tony Bennet’s new duets CD.
Not to mention, Adam’s Leno Sleepwalker, and Unplugged special.
Think I’ll go check out the Top 16. Have I mentioned that I had 13 of 16?

But, knowing our boy, he’ll mix it up, and surprise us, especially with encores.
I don’t mean to put the cart before the horse, but, with two albums and a run on Idol, he’ll have a lot of material. And, who knows, maybe even some of his “collaborators” will make surprise appearances on stage.
I’m very much looking forward to the Bruno Mars song on the CD.
And, let’s not forget, Idol starts in two weeks, and I’m thinking/hoping he’ll show up and sang his face off again. Or even be a guest judge/mentor again. I don’t care if some nay-sayers say that he is on too much, or “what gives him the priority?”

Texas Sugar-free popsicles saved my life when I was prepping and hungry! Just no red nor grape ones. I remember it was my youngest sister and family’s last night visiting and my hubby had a dinner party for them right here when I was starving! Ugh! That was sooooo hard. With my favorite ribs too! Evil people. The procedure itself was so fast I asked them if they were sure the doc had done what he was supposed to do.

We’ve all been talking about sugar-free drinks and eats for the cleanse but it doesn’t have to be sugar-free. In fact you need to get some calories in you to keep going. I drank white cranberry juice, white grape juice, apple juice and gatorade. cher I love the idea of popsicles!
I hope I remember when I have my next “29-yr-old” cleanse.
Actually I could seriously use a cleanse now as The Xmas pounds are demanding continued companionship.
