The first month of 2012 finds Adam’s new single “Better Than I Know Myself” already making its appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, as we await the “official” radio add dates of January 23 (HAC) and January 30 (CHR). Hoping for much promo and excitement in the next few months as things build toward the release of Adam’s second album “Trespassing” on March 20. We should have a new tour to look forward to later this year as well! Enjoy the chat!

Ron has anyone ever told you that you’re a smart a**?

Of course not. No one has ever accused me of being smart! Wink

I agree turquoisewaters. I prefer the piano backing to the guitar that was a little too heavy at Ste Agathe.

I haven’t listened to everything, but I think I do like Tommy on guitar. It’s a bit more understated, and blends well. I’ve only listened to two so far–love acoustic BTIKM, and OOL is just beautiful. What a voice!

Thanks nkd I thought it said ether but I wasn’t sure. So it’s…

“Well I was walkin for some time, when I came across this sign- sayin ‘who are u and where are u from? We don’t like when visitors come’”…
…”No Trespassing that’s what it said, at least that’s what I could read. No Trespassing? Yeah, my ass! Wait till ya get a load of me!”

“I don’t need no sympathy. I won’t cry and whine. Life’s my light and liberty, and I’ll shine when I wanna shine”
“Make their faces crack- there’s no turnin back. Let’s GO!”

Just home from work and catching up. Busy day for our boy. A snowcase, some cowbells, and…a full spa treatment?

Just the thought of our birthday boy having a “full treatment” sends me…well, it sends me!!

Hmmm. Full body massage, salt scrub, mud therapy, aroma therapy, facial, steam and sauna, and jacuzzi….

  9. dcglam says:

Is there a video to WWFM I either missed it or there isn’t one up yet.

Here it is, glambotgram. Posted earlier…

    WWFM….

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_oQEP1a0k8&sns=em

Visual not good on this one.
I’m hoping for better vids later on.

  10. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks for all the feedback on my gates.

I actually had something about the Idol tour and the whips and stuff thrown on stage, and the undies and the mic humping and the Emo vs Elvis hair, in my first version, but forgot to include it. Oh well.

    Glad you all liked it!

  11. milwlovesadam says:

FWIW, I’m not crazy about Trespassing, from what we heard. Too many words, it’ll be hard to sing. I’m looking forward to the CD version and the tour of course.

    And, loved OOL this time.

And, his voice sounded rough in WWFM. ( Don’t yell at me, it did!!) He was clearing his throat a lot in those serial interviews. BB needs to protect those lovely vocal cords. I was glad to see him drinking water during the snowcase.

Love the look, toned down Glam!!

I am totally with you here, mils. From what I heard, I think it has huge potential. As I posted above somewhere, I feel that the album version will be very different. I think it will be killer!!

  13. mieps says:

Didn’t he start by saying it was so smokey in there? That could be the reason for throat issues. And of course going from sea level to the thin air in the mountains. He didn’t have much time to adjust.

  14. glambotgram says:

dcglam Thank you I guess I missed it before.

It does seem like he forgot a lot of words, I am amazed that they asked him because it doesn’t seem like they liked him very much. The people looked like they spent most of their time talking. He couldn’t even get them to clap.

Wasn’t crazy about Fever, doesn’t lend itself to acoustic very well. IMO

But I do really like Trespassing. It keeps running through my head.

Mils You are right about his voice, didn’t sound like full throated Adam.

mieps you could be onto something, with the smoke and altitude.

  15. Kradamour says:

FWIW, I’m not crazy about Trespassing, from what we heard. Too many words, it’ll be hard to sing. I’m looking forward to the CD version and the tour of course.

I agree, mils. This is one of the rare songs that I think I will like better on the CD than live. I won’t let myself form any more opinions about it until we hear the whole version, though.

I really love that Adam is talking so openly about turning 30, evaluating his life, settling down with Sauli and becoming domestic and even “boring”…he talks about his house, evenings on the sofa, juicing, changing his sartorial style…
Adam never does anything by halves, does he? Even turning 30 is a production!
And I really loved in one of the interviews where he talked about the fans and said that he hadn’t been with us for almost a year, and he sounded genuinely a bit rueful about that. It made me think about how much he obviously loved being on stage for us in Ste Agathe…the fortunate peeps who will be at his first few concerts for this tour will doubtless see that and more, because this time he will be introducing his brand new album to us and he is so proud of it and excited!

  16. Oksana2000 says:

Do you recall snippet of something written by Adam “Get over it” ?? I wonder what happened to that song.Of course we only heard a snippet, but it was quite catchy. Maybe it really has a different name?

  18. jlurksacto says:

From what I’ve read around the web, this was not a “fan” concert but a
showcase for industry (radio, print) insiders. Also the few fans there
were radio station “ticket” winners. Peeps in audience were told to hold
down noise cause the performance was being recorded. Also all of Adam’s
songs could be recorded by peeps (phones, etc) but Trespassing. So
probably won’t see a ytube of complete Trespassing (now watch me be
    wrong – again)

  19. luval says:

Hi jlurksackto…do you think the Sweden thing next weekend will be similar?…Industry people? Probably same acoustic set.

Ooohh My son just landed in Baltimore about 5 minutes ago I wonder if it is between Baltimore and DC.

  22. ultimathule says:

Looking at the audience in both BTIKM and Trespassing, seemed that the men were very interested – particularly in the latter.

Is there a pic of the billboard?

  23. nkd says:

No pic of the billboard that we know of, yet!
You would think that whoever paid for it to be put up would have a picture. The person that tweeted about it said it was too dangerous to stop at that spot to take a picture.

  24. adamized says:

Hmmm. Tempted to get back in the car in search of the billboard but I think I would rather listen to the mini concert again. I loved OOL and BTIKM accoustic. Lovely, just lovely. Can’t really comment on Trespassing cause it seemed to chop in and out. I agree that it probably is best heard with the full studio treatment.

It is so wierd to see BB performing for a small, calm crowd of folks who aren’t screaming and waving their arms about.

Need to head off for an early night. Thanks for the links!

    Anita @MDfanAO
Billboard wishing Adam Happy Birthday is north of Ft. McHenry tunnel, on left side of hwy as you’re go north. Near O’Donnell St. exit.

  34. Teri63 says:

Wow, I’ve been away for the weekend, and I’m just kind of stunned at the video of today’s showcase. “Trespassing” was just NOTHING like I expected it would be. I guess I don’t know what I thought, but it was just really, really different from anything I’ve ever heard Adam do. I LOVE the lyrics–they remind me a tad of that old ’70’s song (I think it was the ’70’s or maybe the late 60’s) “Signs.” It just, at first listen, anyway, doesn’t sound like anything on the radio. After a second listen, though, I could almost hear Adelle singing it. I’m just really anxious to hear the studio version. I tend to wind up loving everything Adam does, so I’m sure I’ll warm up to this song, too.

  35. milwlovesadam says:

    Billboard Gate?

Other celebs wondering why their fans haven’t done this?

  36. luval says:

It does seem weird to hear Adam sing songs that we’re not used to. Now I’m the “sick of all the hype” person but I must say so far I’m happy with what I’ve heard. Took me awhile for BTIKM but after hearing it today I’m a true fan.

  37. Kradamour says:

  41. glambotgram says:

    Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind
Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?

And the sign said anybody caught trespassin’ would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and-a yelled at the house, “Hey! What gives you
    the
    right?”
“To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in”
“If God was here he’d tell you to your face, Man, you’re some kinda sinner”

Yeah, me, too — NOT. It was actually one of my favorite protest/anti-establishment songs, and I used it often in “multi-media” projects for school as a kid (“multi-media” meaning a simple slide show and tape recorder — LOL)! I’m loving the similarities I’m feeling with “Trespassing,” and after listening another few times, the performance is growing on me, too!

Totally loved that list of things stans say. Looking forward to more additions.

“A poncho? Really? What the f*ck is a poncho?” Grin

“Stubhub? I hate stubhub!” “oh, thank God for stubhub!” “I bought this ticket on stubhub for only fifty times face value!” “I bought this ticket on stubhub; how was I supposed to know that my view is totally blocked by (fill in the blank)?!” “The concert is in three hours. Do you think ticket prices are going to drop soon on stubhub?” “OMG stubhub won’t take my credit card, I am over my limit!”

“No, I can’t wait – I can get tickets to Atlantic City. Who can I get to go with me? Wow, my sister will go! I can get discount tickets!!!”

“Wow, Atlantic City was great, but why didn’t I get tickets for Baltimore and D.C.?”

“Could I get tickets for New Orleans or Florida or Atlanta? Do I have any relative that I could stay with (I haven’t seen Aunt So-and-So for 20 years – should I ask to stay with her?”

I could go on and on and on….
