What I can’t stand are fansites with BSC fans, who will crucify you if you say that Adam is not walking on water.

Sometimes I wonder if Nele or Yeah Right is actually mj … I don’t think that Adam is her favorite Idol, and I KNOW we’re not her favorite fan base, lol.
Adam is definately not her favourite idol and Adam fans are most definately not her favourite fan base.lol Kristin at MJs is another that is not a fan of Adam’s. I don’t understand how they cannot be a fan of his when we all know “Adam walks on Water”. lol

Nele is Kris stan, she is OK, admits when she’s wrong and I believe that she is entitled to her opinion like a rest of us.

It sounded like she came back with a new name. I didnt know you were deleted. I just hate that MJ lets some people get away with the horrible comments on Adam, then when you try to comment back she slams you or deletes you. I actually think she does it on purpose to get hits on the site. She is always making a new thread on Adam, it brings in people good and bad on her site. I really got a laugh one day when someone posted, “Adam goes to Whole Foods and gets his own thread?” ROTFL

I remember seeing a twitter conversation between MJ and Yeah Right, no make that a string of tweets from Yeah Right to MJ, in which she complained about being banned. She said she was an Adam fan and because of MJ she now had banned Adam from her computer and her life and was moving on. Supposedly she had him as a desktop picture and all!
I’m all for not being a crazy over the top positive fan, but I don’t think she ever said anything positive about him.
So, I guess I can’t give her the benefit of the doubt

I was way from here for a long time. Not only here but mjs also. When I went back to her site I felt that it had gotten rougher there. Early on I felt that she was better at trolling so the sight would stay positive. Lately there’s more trash being posted. I don’t post there because I don’t want to get into that mix. I appreciate you, Oksana and jlurksacto for trying to make a difference at her place.
Is the same thing happening to the fan site? Maybe I should go check it out. Haven’t been there is just as long.
Oksana, indeed, who does needs enemies with fans like that. Yeah, I remember her/him saying being a fan too, now.
I actually like it when fans can be objective, but it seems such a waste if you can’t get joy from anything your idol does.
From all the blogs I still like MJ’s best. Sometimes I have a look at others, but the comment sections are like wars.
I think MJ has learned to appreciate Adam more, she may still not be a fan, but I get more positive vibes from her lately.
asif, IIRC, someone posted a really snarky comment about Adam, and Oksana block quoted their comment and wrote underneath “Yeah.Right”. Is that pretty close, Oksana? I literally laughed out loud when I read it.

rainbow, I don’t post that often on MJ,primo – language barrier, secundo – I don’t write anything negative about other artist, cause I’m simply not interested in them, and tertio – there is enough flailing about Adam on his threads by other fans.
But when I’m pissed I usually make a tiny snarky comment that is often deleted.

But it feels good while it lasts…
I post at MJ’s pretty often (different name for Disqus), but I’ve pretty much learned what will attract her ire and haven’t been zapped in a while.

BTW, whatever happened to my favourite poster MoriaPolonius? I hope that she wasn’t banned, her comments were one of the best. Short and to the point.
I enjoy visiting MJs and seeing the information posted and the range of opinions about Adam. If there’s negative stuff, I just always remind myself that when it comes to Adam, there’s no shortage of opinions, and that’s OK. And MJs rules are clear that people can say negative things about the idols, just not each other. I like to post there, but I stay positive and stay out of skirmishes.
I think that Nele has come a long way in appreciating Adam since the EMAs. She has definitely been more complimentary lately. YeahRight was definitely banned and got in a big twitter fight with MJ over it. MJ also banned “marchle,” but he/she recently came back as “electric dog.” MJ also had a recent twitter skirmish with someone I suspect is “sd34567”, who has been quite negative about Adam and was complaining loudly on twitter that MJ cowtows to Adam’s fans and doesn’t allow people to post anything negative about him. Which I thought was funny, since many Adam fans complain quite the opposite – that they aren’t allowed to defend him against negative attacks.
Anyway, to be honest, I appreciate MJs intent to keep things civil between posters on her site. I think her moderating is sometimes a little overzealous when it comes to Adam, but I think it’s because she sees that things about Adam can get so heated so quickly and she has little patience or tolerance for it. And there are so many Adam fans there and only a few naysayers, who often get piled on, so I’m sure she feels she has to be fair to the naysayers. I’m sure that she has set in a large supply of Excedrin to deal with the intensity of the next 3 months as promo ramps up and all of these albums get released and the fan comparisons and posturing start. LOL
ETA: Mieps – I wasn’t with you at the Seattle show, but I was with you at the Portland show. I remember smeggs talking about someone crazy at the Seattle show that she had some trouble with. But I don’t remember a crazy fan in Portland. Unless you mean us!

I LOVE that Lyndsay Parker interview! I love to hear Adam talk about his music as his craft, his process of creation, and how his experiences over the past 2 years have influenced his art. He’s so excited, and I’m thrilled for him. I can’t wait to hear the album! I love me a good funky groove! And Adam’s voice to a funky groove? I’m in heaven!

cwm, it must’ve been Portland then. And this person didn’t act crazy, but was all dressed in black, including hair, wore a high hat and a black boa. And she didn’t smile at all, where most people were giddy and happy. I just assumed that she might have been one of the crazies for whom it was just a routine event by that time.

I don’t mind people critiquing Adam, or his music as long as it’s done in civil manner. When arguments go into “crater face” and “media whore” direction then I get nasty. I’m not an angel in a RL, that’s the truth…
Taste in music is so subjective, that arguing over what is smash or what is a flop is a waste of time IMO. I only believe that if radio plays any song every 15 minutes (Katy P, GaGa, I’m looking at you) this nation will eventually believe that it’s a masterpiece.
And for the life of me I can’t figure out why BTIKM like FYE before were chosen to be a first single.

I know, I thought that too, Oksana. But in Disqus, if you click on a poster’s icon, you get their profile, and then click on “activity,” and you see their history of posts. When electric dog first showed up, you could see previous posts as both electric dog and as marchle in their history. So… ???

I’m a little late to the discussion regarding the fans at mjs. I just caught up here. While I was reading I remember a conversation I had with my son. From the time he graduated he was an Apple man. He learned how to repair them and worked in our local Apple store. At some point he applied for jobs in the Minneapolis area. He got hired and worked on Apple software testing it before it hit the market. Slowly he moved to pcs. He took a ration of grief from people who thought he was a traitor. His comment. “It’s like the argument – do you like Pepsi or Coke.” In other words it’s a no win conversation. That’s what I take away from mjs. Too each their own!
Ha Ha on the PC vs Apple discussion, Rainbowgal. We have that discussion here all the time, my college music grad, that is living here with us now is a hard core Apple fan, even tried to get a job at Apple store. I have 2 PC’s and when I need help with something my son bitches his head off about the backward Pc’s, mine is a Dell, a nice one. I got 2 virus’s last week, and he says that’s a Pc for ya, A MAC, doesnt get viruses. I considered trying to buy a MAC, just so expensive and unfortunetly my credit doesnt go high enough to get one. So stuck with my backwoods Dell PC. My computer repair guy told me to stick with it, they will be coming out with a program in a few weeks that will prevent viruses on PC’s. Well we will see.
Anyhow I love the look of that darn MAC of his tho, looks so fun to try to use it. LOLOL
riskylady – my mother who died two years ago at the age of 92 had two knees replaced successfully about ten years before. They were done separately and she did rehab to recover. She was so extremely happy that her legs were straight again and the pain from walking was gone. It was just wonderful.

I’ve been to Jamaica once, a winter break, during college years… flew to Montegobay … from the plane, gasped when I saw such beautiful waters under with varieties of blue, green and turquoise. A friend picked me up and drove to Kingston, stopped one night at Ocho Rio. Beautiful country, and Blue Mountain coffee is one of the best coffees in the world. Ragga music all day and all night. Fun !!! (sans ganja)

riskylady, yes it was my mom that just had knee replacement surgery on the 9th. This was her second knee, she had the first one done in July.
