There is def a light side and dark side to his face but very subdued. Light and shadows.
So I just watched a couple parts of Laura Saltzman’s interview. Was not impressed (with her). Never was. I mean really…”so do your fans get along?” What kind of a question is that? What’s he going to say…no they can’t stand each other. lol

Wow, what an album cover! One could get lost staring into those eyes, alot of trespassing into and out of the soul going on there. Kudos to Lee Cherry, the whole concept of light and dark side meshes perfectly with the theme of the album. Its evident alot of thought and emotion went into this album, and we have to wait patiently until mar 20?

The only thing I noticed after the Trespassing clock went up was on my iphone after I refresh or reload, when I pull the items down a blue checked screen appears. But if I drag my finger slowly there’s no problem. I’m always trying to be too fast anyway! No difference at all on my desk top.
Does anyone know if there was any BTIKM bump on itunes after Leno or Ellen? Sheesh…some comments on mj’s thread about the album cover are saying that song is dead already. Yikes.I don’t think so.
I did go to the new Trespassing thread but I’ve always had problems with the numbers thing.
I like how this is being rolled out. I don’t think BTIKM was put out to be a block buster. I think it was a bridge song from the last album to this one. Also I agree with someone who said it could be used as a throw away in case it didn’t do good being introduced around the holidays. Also the adds haven’t been done yet. I think people are asking for an overnight success. Radio stations are just starting to pick it up now. The buzz just began.
BTIKM is a song that grows on you. Some may never like it, but for some it may take hearing it a few times before it kicks in! There are several smash songs on the radio right now that were like that for me. I hope it gets a chance to grow and that RCA is supporting it. I noticed from the demo after I listened twice that I was humming the chorus, and then when the single came out with Adam’s voice, I was hooked. I don’t think it will be my favorite from the album, I think he’s got lots more in store for us!
Having a bridge song as an introduction, even if it doesn’t smash, is probably smart. You want things to go up with the other singles after all!
Well, today was the day for the formal radio adds. Most likely many of those “commenting” peeps are unaware of this. My focus is on what happens now. I keep checking the Hot 99.5 (Toby Knapp) playlist — Adam is still not there. I’ll give him another day or so, then I will e-mail Toby. Don’t worry guys…. I’ll be nice.

The clock is great, but dang, there are still too many days left on it!
Immediately after Leno and Ellen there was some movement on itunes. Hopefully more airplay and an Idol appearance will really boost it!
Texas I listened too and while I hear Sleepwalker at first when they show Pharrell it does sound like something different, but I don’t know what song it is.

I did notice that, but it could also be taken as a misspoken word meaning title track instead of lead single.
Trespassing may be the next single, maybe just before the album drops.

I second nkd – Bless you Bless you. It takes much energy to keep up with a room of 4 year olds. No wonder you didn’t want to hear doom and gloom. Stick with us. We seem to be a pretty reasoned bunch who are getting a workout in practicing patience!
Sorry to have made any fuss about the clock. It’s a great addition to the site and everyone loves it. I use Firefox and when I go to the homepage here on that browser, as soon as the clock appears, I can’t control the mouse. Trying to move it is like trying to swim through glue and I can’t pinpont exactly where the cursor is situated on the page.
Everything’s okay though on IE. Understand too that this PC is an ancient eight years old! It’s only a half step above having two tin cans and a string.
My birthday is February 5th (Adam is 1 week older than I … to my way of thinking, anyway). Any donations you’d like to make to mark the occasion so that I can buy a new computer can be sent through PayPal to TRHCFH … that’s The Ron Hayes Charity For Himself. As I’m going to be 29 again, I’m setting a goal of $2.90. At least I’ll be able to get a new string.

luval and I were wondering if there’s going to be another festival this Summer in Ste.-Agathe, Quebec. If there is, would they invite Adam back and, if they do, would he be available.
I would so welcome a second opportunity to return to that beautiful setting, reunite with friends, meet new friends with an Adam concert waiting for us that evening.

Luval, just after the Ellen performance, I think BTIKM moved up about 800 places at its highest, got to high 200’s, last time I saw an update it was in the mid 400’s, that was a few days ago.
I feel that this is the big thing, nkd. Radio peeps need to play it and give it a chance. Although it may not be the big smash hit from his album, we certainly don’t want it to fail. Adam is putting a lot of time and effort into promoting it with the video, performances, and interviews. I also feel that this song at least needs to do reasonably well for the other Trespassing songs to be given a chance.
I knew I shouldn’t have ventured on over to MJ’s and read those comments.
I can’t imagine what it must feel like to discover that you have a step brother that you didn’t know existed … after all of these 29 years!

Aw thanks Ron. My sister sent me a photo of him. My computer revealed it starting at the top and moved down ever so slowly. About half way down I could swear I was looking at my father. Sadly my Dad had passed just a couple of years before he contacted my mother. Happily my mother went to see him a year before she passed. So he had a chance to hear all about his father from the woman who knew him best. I never thought my life could be an Oprah program!
Ron, the concert in Ste Agathe was a huge success, by the accounts that I read, so there is every reason to think it will be repeated. The intention was for it to be the first annual.
I think the venue will be the right size for Adam this year…so all my fingers are crossed and I am sending out as much francophone quebecois karma to the universe as I possibly can! I’m visualizing…it worked last time!
Rainbowgal, I have a first cousin that appeared in my inbox a few years ago, and I was lucky enough to meet her (also in Atlanta!) when I went to the Adam concerts there. Another cousin (on the other side of my family) found me on the internet last year. I wish for you that your meeting with your stepbrother will be as joyous as my new connections have been!

This is the first part of the Lyndsey Parker interview. Its great, she really lets Adam talk.
I read that whole doom and gloom thread at MJs. It was brought about by Toby Knapp himself, saying in his blog that “sources close to sources at Adam’s label” were somehow noticing that downloads apparently weren’t up to what the label expected.
Then, the MJ people went on to compare Taylor Swift and some other big star, who sold 100k without promo supposedly. Well, I saw lots of promo of Taylor Swift’s thing, on line and in the newspaper, also on TV. Anyway, BTIKM sold at least 66,000 the first three weeks, and we don’t know after that – no one has published any info. But with the 800 or so jump on iTunes (ONLY iTunes, we don’t know about Amazon or AO) there must be more. Plus, we don’t know how many albums were preordered on Amazon or AO, with AO giving out the free song download.
Then, later, Toby tweeted that he heard that tomorrow, industry types/the label will start a big push for the song.
It only went for adds TODAY, and the video comes out this weekend supposedly. So, how can it be dead??????

Real promo for the song has just started, dammit, up to now all the promo has been from fans participating in radio station polls and contests, and purchasing the song.
It has been slowly moving up the charts even now, and gaining spins – BEFORE FORMAL ADDS AND PROMO.
Even Kelly’s songs and album have had a sloooow sales start, for her.
I don’t trust Toby, think he is using the fans for hits, plus he’s a Kris fanboy.

riskylady…. Thanks so much for your insight into all of this. Everything you stated makes perfect sense. I don’t really trust Toby either. I have been listening to his radio show on my way home from work. He comes on at the perfect time for me to be in my car and tuned in. I have also been checking out the station’s playlist. By the way, this is also Ryan’s station here in DC. He is on earlier in the day than Toby.
It will be interesting to see where Adam begins to be played on a regular spin cycle.
I just sent an email to Ste Agathe municipal website to see if there will be a second festival this year (step one in visualizing). I need to know if I only have to conjure up Adam, or if I have to conjure up the whole festival, too. Whew!

haha..festival…I remember asking the guard “where’s the festival? You know, the booths, the foods.” He looked at me like I was crazy. “Oh you have to go in the town for that”. Adam was the festival. Period.
Yes, there will be a festival! Apparently the delay is due to the fact that the mayor was criticized last year for a potential conflict of interest when he was on the admin council for the festival, so he will not be part of it this time, and they are working now on selecting the new festival adminstration – originally, that was expected by the end of 2011, but now is expected by the end of January.
So…the festival is taken care of. Whew!
Would love to go back to Ste. Agathe again. The concert, that weekend was on my mind for weeks!

Someone on Facebook (Jaimie Glambert) is showing a zoomed in photo of the Trespassing cover and is saying that Adam may have a ponytail happening. It’s on the left side of the photo (Adam’s right side).
