I’ve been researching the juicers…Amazon has a couple with very good reviews discounted for 60-ish for those who don’t want to make too much of a commitment. They are centrifugal which apparently means that they can’t do grasses (shrug). One of the recommended ones, just a bit pricier, is the Breville brand. I have a Breville panini maker that I totally swear by, it is substantial and does everything perfectly.
Loved those pix from last night…Sauli is wearing Adam’s scarf, probably the only thing in Adam’s closet that could remotely fit him!

You know, I just love the way Adam gets so animated and genuinely enthused whenever he gets the opportunity to talk about his music. This true passion of his is incredibly contagious.

A couple of us have asked the same thing. My take on it was that BTIKM was a throw-away in case Christmas/holidays etc kept sales low, and then they could throw out an especially poopworthy song to drag it back up and go on from there on a rocket.
Or, theory #2, Adam wanted to swing the pendulum back the other way to attract new peeps and keep peeps from being skerred of his eccentricity (per article above).

I’m off the high of Leno/Ellen and a lot more sanguine about BTIKM again. I still pretty much like it, but def no love except for the live performance. Waiting for the video, and really chewing my lip and waiting for the next single to explode at us.

Hi nkd. Good to be back here again. Things are starting to wind up again, eh (oops, a Canadianism thrown in). Some of us here in the Toronto area thought Adam might be coming Toronto this week, but it was just a false alarm, but it gave us a chance to practice mobilizing our units LOL.

You are right — we have no answers, only speculation.
I’m thinking that they were going totally with vocals and safety. Even if some peeps are a bit apprehensive about the brilliance of the song, there is no doubting the vocal chops that are the main part of it. Also, it is a “safe” choice — nothing that anyone would find offensive or have an issue with. Unfortunately, it looks as though Adam is still climbing that uphill mountain. I’m hoping that this will all soon change with this new album. He needs a couple of SMASH hits to bring him over the top of that mountain!!!

Sadistic? Okay, a few knew that. Rihanna’s S&M? Guys (I said to them) did you not know that S&M is sado-masochism???
Um, no. Not a clue. They were wondering. And now that I have told them, they need to know what sado-masochism is.
This really made me stop and think. All the really crude lyrics out there…are maybe just going right over the kids’ heads, apparently. No harm no foul. Or something. Go figure…
I agree with dcglam . I think it was a bridge between FYE and Trespassing. It does have sort of that WWFM sound to it, so kind of an entry into this new era.

So can someone explain what happens now with BTIKM? Is it strictly radio play (requests) which will make or break it? I’m hoping the video will go straight to number one on VH1…with our help, of course. And yes, dcglam he MUST have a couple of monster hits off this album. Am not writing of BTIKM yet but it’s such a struggle. Was hoping he could stop struggling.
Hi Kradamour…just read your post about the lyrics. I do get worried that Trespassing is supposedly so lyric driven per Adam, but many people could care less, don’t listen to the lyrics. They want the beat! So hopefully the industrial, club, etc music will appeal.
Kradamour, I’m guessing that a class of regular level students might know what S&M is! The IB students have probably been more sheltered.
Looks like BTIKM is the bridge between the old and the new. If he came out with a track with the vibe of what’s apparently on the album, it could possibly have provoked a wtf reaction – just like the AMA’s did. He may have to ease fans into this extremely forward-looking – very different from FYE – album. Sure he and his people have discussed this, and Adam’s being a smart guy – he must have his finger on the pulse of what’s going to succeed in today’s market.

BTIKM is growing on me slowly. I see it as a safe choice for a first single from the album. But I would have preferred a dance tune. I’m sure we’ll get that with Cuckoo. I have yet to hear BTIKM on the radio up here where I live. Are some of you thinking it won’t get much radio play? Didn’t it just get released officially a couple of days ago? When is the video supposed to come out?
