Okay, so for the juice cleanse we tentatively have nekkid, rainbowgal, and mils so far.
March 15! We’ll be cleansed by the time the album is released. It will be great! We’ll all be 19 again!

And as usual for CNY we have horrible weather, although it isn’t actually raining at the moment…which is something I suppose. CNY is the only time of the year HK is quiet (relatively),although was at the flower market saturday night and it was still heaving at midnight with people buying their new year flowers.
milwlovesadam OMG You have me laughing at the images of Brady and of course Madison. I just love how they can take something so small and simple and just make a 30 minute program about it. Snarky and like pin point focus of whatever they are doing. They never seem to notice anyone around them! Ya Brady street 30-40 years ago and now.

Texas Since so many of us have juicers in our basements, you could probably find some good ones @ a second hand store. Probably sill in it’s unopened box!!
rainbowgal, I came sooooo close to getting a Vitamix at an estate sale a few weeks ago… But Santa brought me a fancy Kitchen-Aid for Christmas, so I bet there’s a juicing attachment available for it.
I don’t know why anyone wants to juice themselves when you can take Vitameatavegamin. I just spoon my way to health with this bittle lottle morning, noon and night and feel great!

I think I might try Ron‘s way! I could end up looking good, much younger for sure and there’s no doubt that for at least awhile I’d feel good.
At least awhile? This is why repeated teaspoons are necessary to maintain that healthy glow.
If healthy glow isn’t maintained, put bittle lottle to mouth and chug. It works everytime.

I’ve been listening to the new guy Kevin Hasting’s music (Vanity Machine). I just bought their EP and singles off itunes. They have an awesome sound and it’s kind of addictive to my ears. Kevin seems very smart and very talented and I’m really glad that he has joined Adam.

Someone here at work who’s a great cook said she thought kale was the worst tasting vegetable and that it’s really only used as a garnish. Now I’m going to have to try it!
luval I think everyone has their own tastes in food. I don’t really like beets. So this juicing will be a challenge when it comes to those red things. I use kale in soups all the time. I’ve included a link to Whole Foods information on kale. It’s good for you.

cwm Thanks for posting this review. Cannot wait to hear what the’re hearing. It seems like it will only get betterer. But one line made me wince. I bolded that part. I think this image of him is what keeps much of the general public away from his music. I support the toned down Adam because I think it will make him more successfl and I think he realizes that fact. And I also believe it when he says he’s evolved to this point. All good going forward.

rainbowgal, I don’t care for eating beets either, but when I have juiced them in the past, it’s ok.
I used to make a carrot, spinach, and beet juice. Pretty good!
This site also recommended adding a lemon or lime to the more bitter vegetables like kale, etc.

Roasted beets are delicious – the only way I really like them.
To add to the kale debate, one of the most popular Dutch winter dishes is made with kale. Kale mixed in with mashed potatoes, simple and good! There are even restaurants dedicated to it, to counteract the fancy restaurants. It’s served with cooked sausage and fried bacon, and vinegar for taste. Yum.
I’ve realized that a lot of research is needed for this juicing thing!

Both of your examples sound yummy. Since my cancer treatments took away a lot of my taste buds I lean towards strong flavored foods.
I’m vegetarian, so I eat it plain, or sometimes with a soy-burger. But I remember how it was as a child with the sausage and bacon.
I use the water the kale has boiled in to moisten the potatoes as well as butter. The vinegar really goes well with it.
And it’s a really good fry-up as well, the day after

The simplest way to do beets is just to wash them, cut off leafy tops, wrap in aluminum foil, and roast – large may take up to an hour. When done, peel skins off and toss in olive oil, salt, pepper, thyme (I like butter) or whatever tastes good.
Before roasting, you could also peel and cut up the beets, toss in olive oil, salt, pepper, herbs, etc., and then put in roasting pan.

I went on Amazon.com and they have several books listed for juicing cleanses. The one called ” The 3 Day Cleanse” is written by the gals that also sell the “Blue Print Cleanse” which is sold in health food stores for $200-250.(like Adam did) This might help you as it has other types also. The only problem is that you do need a good juicer. I’m not joining you as you are starting on my birthday and I plan on eating cake that day. Maybe I’ll wait and see how you do and try it later. There’s an old saying that misery loves company.
This is just too much!!!!! We all need the music now. The build up could take out some of us who are weaker. Our hearts might not make it!!
