It’s kind of interesting how many musicians and lovers of music have Aquarius birthdays. Adam, Oprah and Ellen in the same week. Bowie in January too.
Just got my new RS in the mail today. Cover story about Bowie was incredible. Very revealing, and I learned more about him than I ever knew before.
Also loved the full page pic of Fallon as Tebowie. After seeing the cover picture of Ziggy, I give the costume and makeup people for Fallon even more credit. Great job.
I still wanna know who got Fallon Adam’s boots!
Forgot to mention the other day, Started watching Idol this week and during the breaks, most of the adverts were for Idol itself and the channel starworld, and so far they have shown 2 different clips of Adam speaking about the channel, he looks great (have also seen one from Charice and David A (all popular in Asia), my heart skipped a little when I first saw him. Now I will have to keep watching Idol just for a brief glimpse of him…. Also several from ‘members of the public’ (said in brackets because my daughter recignised one from a casting she went too), and several of them say the reason they watch Idol is because of the funny auditions and weird costumes, none of which they’ve shown this year so, maybe thats one of the reasons why the numbers are so down in the States.

Yep, my thought, too — only a week away for both Adam and Riff! Maybe Adam and Alisan were actually out shopping for party food today. Riff has to be one of the most adorable and happy babies I have ever seen. It seems that we are all watching him grow up on the internet. He’ll be off to college before we know it!

All this time I thought he might be a spokesperson for Mac cosmetics, maybe ProActiv … but the company he used for his juicing should sign him up. He’s even making me think about it!

Interesting experience!listening to local radio just now, they are interviewing an Alberta singer-songwriter named Mark Hamilton who has a band called Wood Pigeon. He has a new album out dedicated to his Viennese boyfriend.
He mentions that the Huffington post asked him to write an article on what it means to write a gay love song! Why didn’t they ask Adam? I wonder if he has read it.
Anyway I’m on my iPhone and don’t know how to do links but you can google huff post and mark and gay song and it will pop up. Of course you can guess his response!

Calgary I read the article just after I watched Kelly Clarkson (over at mjs) sing “My Man” from Funny Girl. She did a great job – that’s a very powerful song. But while watching I couldn’t help but wonder what that would sound like if Adam sang it. I get goose bumps just thinking about it.
I agree with Mark Hamilton that the gender doesn’t matter to me one bit. It’s the feeling I get from the music. Thanks for sharing.

In looking up the article Calgary mentioned I came across this one. It’s a little long and it might be way OT – if so I will go to the corner and sit out my time. But it paints such a picture of the “other side”. Adam always credits his parents for being so supportive. I know that the numbers bears out that of the homeless teenagers at least 40% are gay. They have been thrown out of their homes or left because it was so unbearable. You might find this article interesting. Very informative and well written.

Thanks for posting that link last night about how Adam and Sauli met, rainbowgal. I remember reading that long ago, but it was fun to read it again now that Adam and Sauli’s relationship has settled into something serious and long-term.

Rainbowgal, thanks for posting the article about Oral Roberts grandson. It was so interesting and informative. I remember well the Oral Roberts era. I was surprised that he was involved in the It Gets Better campaign. He should write a book if he hasn’t already. It must be tough when your parents won’t see or have contact with you. Adam and Sauli both seem to have come from loving, accepting families. Thats how it should be, but sadly it isn’t always.
I am seriously thinking about a juice cleanse. Some interesting recipes/regimes online. Don’t think I would do one of the professional $100/day product packages, no reason I couldn’t follow a recipe and make fresh juice myself. I’ve wanted to do this for quite a while.
Target date is ides of March, just before the album comes out (that date fits into my RL schedule, it isn’t related to the album). If anyone wants to join me, I’ll be happy to do the research and share recipes.
Adam always takes paper bags. Someone should send him some canvas or reusable ones.

Kradamour I have a Jack Lalane juicer in my basement collecting dust lol. My mother bought it on QVC (impulse buy), never used it and sent it to me. I used it once or twice and promptly sent it to my basement.
I think if I were ever to try a juice clense I would just use my
Vitamix and pulverize everything and not have all the clean up.
I have done water fasts before but not juice fasts.

Me too. I have a professional juicer that I need to get out, and I have already been researching recipes. I’ve never done the juice only, but I think I will! I should be about 19 after a week or so, right?

Too funny about the bags. This week’s Portlandia has a sketch about bags at a store like Whole Foods too. Just watched it late last night with son #2. Does anybody else watch that? It’s so quirky, and now they seem to have attracted every star on the planet to do a sketch.
