Kradamour. So glad you love the song. I can finally say too I love it. (how long did it take us? lol) That electric piano at the beginning…when he says “Cold as Ice”…I get chills!!!! It’s the ice! And I can’t say enough about the band. Tommy is still a little glam with the heavy eyeliner, luv Ashley. Guess she doesn’t sing, though. Isaac is amazing. Love the heavy drum beats and of course Kevin on keys and vocals. Hope they can make it work for a long time.
Regarding the “glam”, I do think Adam will keep bits and pieces always. The glitter rings, eyeliner sometimes. I will love whatever he wears.

cwm I’m so sorry you didn’t get to talk to Adam. He’s got such an amazing speaking voice. During the M&G I had it was hard to keep talking and not just sit there and listen to him. I though your questions was amazing. Don’t give up hope. You never know what will happen in the future.

Conversation at work today…
My boss, Cindy, is not an Glambert but knows that I am. She has no interest in watching him perform. When she came back from lunch today, she asked me, “Did you know that…”
I finished her sentence..”Adam is on Ellen today.”
“Yes, I guess you keep up on that stuff. Have you heard his new song yet?”
“Are you kidding? I’ve already purchased it. I like to support the artists I enjoy.” I told her I’d heard (from you guys) that his performance on Ellen was awesome.
At this point, Tammy chimed in…”Is he the guy who wears all that makeup?” She never watches AI so that’s the only thing that made an impression on her.
Then Jerry spoke up. “He keeps getting into a lot of trouble with his boyfriend.”
Of course, I spoke up to defend Adam–but he had his mind made up and his ears turned off. “There was only one incident, and it was overseas and wasn’t anything more than having a little too much to drink according to the police report.”
Jerry replied, “I wonder how much money it took to clean up that report.”
@@ After spending so much time here, sharing the love, I forgot that he’s still got a long way to go.

Leno vs. Ellen
I liked the Ellen performance better too. Didn’t get to watch it on the big screen.
I almost didn’t recognize Isaac with his shirt on. I love drums, and hated that he distracted me from Adam. Isaac did a great job.
I have monstrous respect for Ashley after she showed such grace under the pressure of her guitar strap breaking on Leno. She’s a great addition to the band.
I’m used to seeing Tommy being a bit more demonstrative while playing. I’m glad he took a back burner on this.
I’m impressed with “The New Guy.” He’s a good blend with his harmony and does well on the keyboard. My one complaint about Cam was that she never looked up so we could see her face.
What can I say about Adam that hasn’t been said already? I would have loved to have been in that audience…sitting in close proximity to Sauli so he would have looked my direction once in a while.
American Idol auditions:
Would love to have a few new rules:
1. No crying/begging allowed during the audition. Automatic disqualification. If you can’t take the stress of the audition, you aren’t going to make it through the show.
2. It’s ok to cry afterwards–and the cameras don’t need to follow the disappointed contestant around until they finally tell the cameraman to get lost and flips the finger at them. It’s bad enough to be humiliated during the audition. Let’s not pour salt into the wound.
3. Absolutely NO backstory during auditions. I’m only interested in whether or not they can sing. Once we’ve narrowed down the number of contestants, then I don’t mind learning a little more about them, but don’t beat us up with sob stories.

Just finished the EQ review. I need some help – How in the Holy H**ll are we supposed to wait until March??? And if that album is one half as good as that review the space ship has left earth and we are in for one amazing ride!
Won’t it be nice for most of us to say we were there from the beginning. I know I didn’t post early on – lurking was my game back then. But I was there. I can’t tell you how many albums I bought because I wanted to help push him to the front. I did it then and I’m ready to do it again.
I can’t tell either nor how many concert tix I bought for family and friends.
No regrets. Might have to do it all over again. No retirement for Glamberts, remember? Keep working to buy Adam stuff. 
cher My other passion is fabric. I quilt for therapy and I have a very large family so I make gifts of my quilts. Just the other day I sat down and made a very small budget this year for material. I want to have as much money set aside for all things Adam. Last tour I bought my 86 year old Mom a ticket to his concert in Milwaukee. How I wish she was still with us. I would get her another ticket. She loved his music right from the beginning. I remember seeing a cartoon somewhere about a child talking to their parent, going on and on about Adam did this and he did that. It showed the parent patiently listening. That was my poor Mom. So you are right – no retirement! I have to get a bigger closet to hold all the items!
Ellessay I too agree with your rules for Idol. Its often so predictable, like the girl living in the tent,you knew they would say yes before she even opened her mouth, and the girl that works with special needs kids…
Loved everything about the Ellen performance, the interview was great, not long enough though….the whole show should have been just for Adam!!!

After reading reviews today, I’ve been listening to OOL again. It just melts me. I can’t wait for the album version and to hear him sing it again live on tour.

I can’t sew a stitch nor quilt at all.
In high school I quickly traded Home Economics for Latin. Never regretted that decision. 
Planning a bit of travel this year, so let’s see how my budget works with Adam’s concerts. My thinking is that he’ll be in larger venues, so less concerts in the US, more international shows this time around. Also depends on album sales. Very important. 
My mom crochets and knits though, but not me nor any of my sisters.

Both very good. The Pop Justice one is definitely snarky, but amusing. Both reviews give a little more detail about each song, including some sample lyrics.

Asif. I looked at what you saw on his pants and I think there is the same sort of spot on the right leg seam. If so it makes me wonder if the fabric has a very random pattern. Now that I write this I’m not as sold on that idea.
I think we need more researchers with a more trained eye.
Good morning! I sent Ellen interview and performance to a friend at work and her comment was “nice interview. I’ll have to get used to the song”. If took me a bit of time but now I love it. I hope people like her will give it a chance. I’m sure the video will be a huge help. But I will keep in mind what Dean Piper said about this being a soft launch for the album.

I just know it in my bones that he will be at the Summer Olympics. Because it’s in England there’s no doubt in my mind that Queen, Elton and a couple other musicians will be part of the opening and closing programs. Queen would need a singer. So get your dvr’s ready.

If they had given me a chance, I could have elevated the quality of that Ryan interview a whole lot. Just sayin’.
Given the fact that they mocked his fans, I am actually relieved, though, that I didn’t get associated with that drivel. And they didn’t even spin BTIKM. Blech.
I did like the confident, loving way that he talked about Sauli, though.
On the other hand, the two San Francisco interviews this morning were light years better and really enjoyable. And they spun the song!
As I’m writing this, the DJs at Alice93.7 are talking about Adam in his absence and how nice and how great he is, what an amazing voice he has, etc., but also how his first album underperformed somewhat and that maybe he should have gone more rock. Oy.

I don’t want to be OT, but what address are we supposed to use for Adam’s BD cards? The one I have is c/o 19 Entertainment, and I don’t think that is the case anymore. And to whom are we supposed to donate in honor of his BD this year?! Have I somehow missed all this info?
I’ve always liked Seacrest but that was a very disappointing interview! Six of the seven-and-a-half minutes focusing on the “incident” in … Turkey?! Did he actually use the phrase “hauled away” not once but twice?! I thought Adam very effectively addressed this yesterday on Ellen and had put it to rest. Naive
stupidme. He laughed at Adam when he said that people have a light and dark side that will be expressed on his new CD? I guess Seacrest is one happy fella all the time if he can’t understand that concept.One of the worst, if not THE worst, interviews ever.
