Hi!
Most times I’m not always current with all things Adam so forgive me if this is common knowledge but I just came across this website and it’s new to me.
If anyone is up for a 40 hour marathon (waves at Cher) –

The first show begins at the bottom (more scrolling Ulti!) and pictures … I forgot all about “Bikini Girl” … Bikini Girl standing by the pool with Ryan Seacrest.
I’ll be most interested in the episode when the final contestants entered the “Idol Mansion”. I’m sure, yet I’m now having doubts so I’m not sure anymore, that Adam said that one reason he was on the show was that hopefully one day he would own a home like the one the contestants were living in while on the show as they were entering it.
That statement really stood out for me but, no one here seems to remember it, and maybe it’s a false memory on my part.

Anyone watch Jay Leno’s last show last night? His speech to the audience was so touching. He was choking and tearing up. Knew his parents passed away 22 and 21 years ago but didn’t realize he had a brother who passed away 20 years ago.
Always appreciated that it seemed like he loved Adam. Had him on 3 times! I go to Sleepwalker many times (right mils?), If I had you with the sparkly zebra pants and of course, Better Than I Know Myself…first time live, stunning. Will follow Jay wherever he goes next and wish him best of luck. Have never seen him in person. Hope he does a comedy tour and comes to Syracuse!

Liked that better than the original Get Lucky, luval, which, to tell the truth, was never enthusiastic about.
Saw what I think was the short program pairs last night – the last pair (Russian?) was absolutely fantastic – holy smokes – what incredible moves. Like to watch it again.

Oh, wow! This must have put a bit of a huge dent into Mr. Simon’s ego.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I loved him on “American Idol”. His opinions were the only one’s that I truly respected and I rarely disagreed with him.
BIG disagreement however when he panned Adam’s second performance of “Mad World” on the finale. Just because Adam had on a long coat and there was dry ice floating about? Too “theatrical” I suppose.
If anything, the vocal was better than the first one.
I wonder now if he’s sorry that he left “American Idol”.
But with … approximately what? … 49 Billion dollars in his wallet, I think that he might consider himself a success and contentedly retire.
I never watched the show but I am surprised that Simon wasn’t a big audience draw who could have sustained the show for a few more seasons.
Have mixed feelings about x-factor being cancelled. I like Simon Cowell. But as one falls by the wayside one will replace it. Can;t think of the new one. On ABC I think this spring or summer.
Read today that Detroit was 2 votes short of Sochi of having this winter’s Olympics.
Ron…Simon had already confirmed that he was leaving XFUS to return to XFUK before this announcement that the US show was cancelled…..probably just a nice way for him to save face before the cancellation however…
I always loved Simons comments on Idol, loved the snark..most of the time we agreed with him. Thought he was way wrong on Ring of Fire though, I still think that was Adams stand out moment, the one that made many people really sit up and take notice. And the 2nd mad world critique…I have always preferred the 2nd version of that. The vocals were better, and the look, the long coat, the eyes…..gorgeous.

They didn’t really use We Will Rock You. They had the drum beat going but completely different music. Queen has always had a pretty strong following in Russia though.

5 years ago, Adam was singing Believe by Cher for the Idol Judges – It was amazing – like to hear him do it now. I’m sure it would be even better!
Well, hope we get a pic or two from tomorrow and maybe a smidgen of a vocal – seems ages since have seen him in “real” life – interviews or performances – not just photos.

Simon probably doesn’t care because he said he was cutting back on work because his girlfriend is having his baby any day now. Then he’s going to marry her so a wedding to plan as well. Hi everyone-stayed up watching the Olympics-beautiful. I had to share this with you all. My daughter is Pregnant-expecting July 1. I received an arrangement of beautiful pink roses today with an enclosure reading: Dear GlamMa!! It’s going to be a girl! Love, The Glamily Isn’t that the cutest thing! My kids want the baby to call me GlamMa! Thought everyone would enjoy that!!

Thanks for the street-scene video from the upcoming GLEE episode. It is wonderful to see that Adam will sing with Kurt and Blaine and become a close friend of Rachel. These are the most popular characters. I know his time with the show has an end date but here’s to a sweet and slow fade from the scene rather than a high-pitched exit. Then he can come back….maybe next season.
Having a lot of irons in the fire is very important for him right now. The more exposure, the better for his own personal music/cd. Queenbert and GLEE are such sharply contrasting projects that they reinforce his versatility. If the Nile/Shoshanna interaction from last week turns out to involve Adam that will add a third, sharply different colour to his palette and reinforce his position in the industry as a creative and copasetic collaborator.
He’s always been a bit of a shape-shifter. Now, everyone will recognize it. So happy for him.

Not too many eye-rollers in my world. Just a few colleagues from my former working days (we are all retired or semi-retired and get together religiously every 2 months.) Interestingly, only one of them is really negative and she had the distinction of being a BSC-fan for someone else when we worked together. She had Russell Crowe on her screen-saver for years and used to check up on his activities daily online. We were all very tactful about it, even when she got a facelift before Cinderella Man started filming in Toronto and spent a week or so shooting in our building. (The back of store was dressed up as Madison Square Gardens.)
My theory is that, as an OTT fan, she can imagine what must be going on in my head and squirms because it reminds her of her former self, so I just let her have her say (and boy does she say it!).

Although I had planned to go to Oklahoma, had my ticket in hand and would be seated next to lovely Riskylady, in the end I couldn’t afford the flight there. After all, I’m not cruising through the States anymore…
So glad many of you made it to Oklahoma, and so sad I’m not cruising anymore, and so happy to have met so many of you last year! I think about you often.
Anyway, yesterday I thought to finally check out the Winstar thread and I watched all the video’s – man do I wish I had been there.
The weird thing is that after those videos I was in the mood and decided to watch all the idol performances. Another evening ‘wasted’. But what a lovely evening it was!
