Just listened to the song, as usual Adam makes a song sound so great, I LOVE it! So for sale on itunes, will it be on the singles TOP 100, will it show up there? I like the original better. Pretty big fan of The Darkness back in the day- good grief 10 years ago! Seems like yesterday. Me and British bands, LOL. This, to me, is just okay. Too much guitar and production, not enough vocal. I have no doubt it will be much better with the visual of them running around and swinging on things in the guitar shop though. Maybe I need to listen to it more…….
Hi all! I like both versions for what they are. I really think this is as much as Glee could get away with. The original is way out there and I love it for this. I mean how fabulous is that video with him catching and throwing the styrofoam boulder and the thumbs up in the end??? Had Glee stayed any closer to the original people would have screamed “too gay” what with the touching and the super high pitched voices and what not. I think Adam sounds terrific and carries the song.

I need to get out of my own head with this. Adam sounds great but Chris just doesn’t have the edge to pull it off for me and that kind of ruins it. I love Chris and his voice but he is just so vanilla when this songs screams for bunch of dark chocolate.

Who’s singing what
I really like IBIATCL…..what a great present to wake up to. Already listened 3 times…I didn’t know the song before, and had only watched the link to the video on here a couple of times, but I wasn’t completely sold…..really like Adam and Chris’s version though.

I was just listening again and my daughter started to sing along. I was shocked that she knew this song as she’s just 22. She also was into country the last I knew. She told me it was a classic and all the cover bands play it. I guess this is why music never dies. There’s always someone somewhere playing it for a new generation.

I’m loving I Believe in a Thing Called Love! Adam and Chris did a great job on it. Especially Adam – he sounds fantastic! And yes, those signature wails at the end – so Adam! (I agree with you, aely, that Chris is a little vanilla for this song, but he does manage to hold his own and their voices blend well together.)
I’m so grateful to Glee for all of the wonderful Adam goodies we’re getting from it. They definitely recognize his talent and thank God they’re making good use of it!
Oh and mils and luval – I just have to clear one thing up.
I love you both dearly, but please. Adam is singing to ME.
