January seemed to just zip by. It was, of course, Adam’s birthday month but he also managed to get in some skiing (or après-skiing), some parties and even rehearsing new music. This month Adam is set to perform at the Family Equality Council Awards on Feb. 8. He also will be back on Glee on Feb. 25 and there is even a rumor that he will be on Idol later this month as well. It looks like this month will zip right by too – and that gets us closer to a possible Q+AL tour and new music!

    So great to have my computer back from a hard drive transplant because I don’t do well on the tiny keyboard of my phone. I just want to chime in on wishing cher the happiest of birthdays. She was so sweet when I first posted here; I think she is a big part of the welcoming committee for so many who come out of the Shadow of Lurk for the first time. Thanks cher!
    And, as always, thanks to everybody who feeds my Adam obsession on a daily basis by linking all the news.
    Now, a special moment of appreciation to jlurks; he sent not just one DVD, the Kiev one I was expecting, but fourand I’ve been in heaven watching these amazing concerts.
    It seems so strange to know that the next time I watch Adam’s brilliant Kiev performance with Queen, it will be with the realization that the scene of such a powerful, positive event has been reduced to rubble. I feel so bad for the people of that beleaguered country.

    Gosh I wrote a long post before, obviously pressed the wrong button and poof! disappeared! Pain Gotta start all over again.
    That current picture of the Kiev Square just breaks my heart. I am addicted to the Queenbert Kiev concert dvd and I just can’t imagine that’s the same venue that I watch pretty much weekly. (or more) Cry
    Thank you to all that posted birthday wishes for me. Brought M out of lurkdom again. Yes I appreciate all of you and this blog so much. We have had so much fun and friendship together because of Adam. Yep Al and mmm222 you remembered my food addiction. Wink I have several meal invites for the occasion and started with one last night. Chinese. (steamed sea bass with ginger and scallions is my fave dish at that restaurant) Not overly fond of fish in general but I love that there. Later tonight I’ll take another one from my bff. Haven’t decided where to go yet. Will do dim sum with 24 girlfriends on Sunday at midday and maybe a dinner Sunday night with a cousin, then pretend to diet next week before taking up another invite on the weekend.
    My life revolves around food, real life and Adam. Cute Great combination. My DH has opted to take me to Popeye’s once per week for a month. ROTFL I flove Popeye’s.
    Again thank you all for your kind comments and birthday wishes. Mwah! My biggest birthday wish: Queenbert dates asap!! Laugh

    Just had one of my sons friends round, (19), and I was catching a bit of the Glee episode again…Son said, didn’t you watch this the other day…and I said yes, but there is a special guest star on. His friend said, yes, Adam Lambert…he’s an amazing singerBig Smile

    G’day Mates! Coming at you from the Land of Oz!

    I’m in Sydney, Australia, at the moment, where I’ve been all week at a conference for work. (*waves at Kiwi in NZ*)

    Sydney is a lovely city, and I highly recommend it, but I’ve been working so hard I’ve barely had a chance to enjoy Sydney or keep up with Adam’s happenings. I did watch the youtubes of Adam’s mentoring parts and of course he was wonderful and looked fabulous. Love all of the new love for him.

    And the new Glee promo looks great. And the leaked tidbit of in-studio time was a fun little surprise treat.

    Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHER! I hope you have a wonderful day and a fantastic year! You deserve it! Cake Present

    Im so glad Adam didnt get that AI judging job. Harry is already getting flack, he was honest to some kids,and at the beginning of the show, but hes getting flack for not saying anything to a couple of kids, and actually some things he did say to some. If Adam was on the judging panel, and said what he thought there would be crap all over the place, because he is so honest in his thoughts., BUT, as some think, Harry may already be being told what to say and who to pick. I am glad Adam is far away from that. Airplane

    Have thought about that, Miss Chaos – how his native honesty would deal with any manipulation. Think he may have gotten more out of those two-minute mentor nights than he would have gotten from being a judge. Now everybody loves him and thinks he’s gorgeous – which, of course, he most evidently is.

    Luval, Versions of this bill are being floated in 6-7 states including Colorado, Nevada, South Dakota and Maine. It was defeated in Kansas. You have to watch the state legislatures to really see what’s going on. Imagine Adam going on tour and being refused services because of who he chooses to love. A very sad state of affairs.

    Been mulling over that Backlot description of Adam (think luval put it up) – one of the best I’ve read – “both mature and boyish” (yes, from one minute to the next).

    And, yes, straightforward (but, as we know, with multitudes of sekrets in his hair) – those “dark arts” – look at the type of paintings/objects he collects.

    “Enigmatic” – think so. Fascinating man.
