January seemed to just zip by. It was, of course, Adam’s birthday month but he also managed to get in some skiing (or après-skiing), some parties and even rehearsing new music. This month Adam is set to perform at the Family Equality Council Awards on Feb. 8. He also will be back on Glee on Feb. 25 and there is even a rumor that he will be on Idol later this month as well. It looks like this month will zip right by too – and that gets us closer to a possible Q+AL tour and new music!

    Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and well wishes. I’m in LA at the moment visiting my mom, and I’m happy to report that she’s holding steady, and my husband reports that our dog has a “strut in his stride” again (LOL) and is back to being his adorable Corgi self. Smile

    turquoisewaters – thank you especially for your “Broken English” stress reduction video gift. You knew just what I needed! I’m touched that you remembered that Broken English is my favorite song. Something about the way he sings that song just slays me. Smile

    rs – my heart goes out to you for your computer disaster. Losing so many photos, and your music and videos, and documents too must have been so painful. You experienced what I imagine so many of us fear – losing our archive. Frown Best wishes to you in your efforts to rebuild, my friend.

    I loooooved the “I love you Glamberts” comic that Adam posted for Valentine’s Day. So cute and adorable! It’s very cool that he saw that artist’s work and re-posted it so that we could all feel the love.

    And I really like that “Sweater Weather” song and video that Adam tweeted out tonight. Sweet song, cool video. I think I might go find that song on itunes and buy it.

    One last thing – riskylady – I saw your comment on that guitar blog about the Queen + Adam shows. Awesome comment, girl!!

    Getting really sick of the Adam vs. Freddie comments.
    I mean, I LOOOOOVE Freddie. To me he is the GREATEST rock frontman ever, his voice and style so unique and a BRILLIANT songwriter and musician. I do believe he sang each song in his unique Freddie style, even opera.
    That said, Adam ia a BRILLIANT vocalist, and he sings different genres in the style of the genre. His tone alone is so beautiful that it can bring one to tears from sheer beauty, apart from the song’s emotional content. Listen to other tenors. Their tone is much more sharp.
    I have a hard time imagining Freddie singing:
    Show tunes: My Conviction, Come to Me Bend to Me, Feeling Good
    R&B: Red House, Tracks of My Tears, Change is Gonna Come, How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore
    Ballads: Stay, Underneath, Wildest Moments, Dust in the Wind, Mad World (with its long legato phrases), Broken Open
    Funk: Shady
    Maybe if he were alive, he would prove me wrong (and I would love that!) But that wouldn’t diminish the brilliance of Adam’s singing, his control and technique or the sheer beauty of his voice. I truly believe Brian May got a huge thrill hearing WWTLF and TSMGO sung in a voice like Adam’s with the glorious full-on bell tone highs.
    So, there seems to be an effort to renew the BS comments on some YouTubes, articles, etc. Yum! I love a challenge.

    risky…where are you reading/seeing those comments? Is it the Queen site or something similar? Or the youtube comments? I don’t read comments much, maybe I should. Or maybe I shouldn’t…I’d be throwing the computer outside the window. Wherever it is I love and agree with your post.

    luval, some of the Queen YouTubes I listen to a lot at night, and recent articles about the possible new shows. The YT ones had gotten a lot better, but now some recent BS showing up.
    And thank you guys for the comments!
    Really, if they tour I think they will sell well, both for Queen and for Adam’s reputation as a great live vocalist. I just don’t like these idiots to get away with some of the crap they write. But, it’s not for everybody to read, very annoying!

    I am sorry Freddie has passed on. Brian & Roger are so thoughtful as to want to keep the music alive for the fans! And this is what they do! They are Queen. They have chosen the one in a billion voice!

    And I don’t understand the ones who say they dislike Adam’s own music. If you ask me I don’t even think they’ve listened to it.

    Asif, it can’t be those answers you mentioned cause I got Beverly Hills too and I didn’t answer any of those the same way you did. We must have answered all the other questions the same or it’s rigged. I never get too upset over things that appear on the internet as it’s a place where folks think they can say what ever they want with anonymity. They love trolling, being obnoxious and petty. People magazine on the other hand should know better. The girl on Idol is dressed like a guy and wears her hair short and styled like a guy. If Adam and others had come out wearing a skirt and hair styled feminine they may have said too that they were gay to explain their appearance otherwise there would be no reason too. I’ve never been sure why it was done on the voice. I watch these shows to hear singers and be entertained.

    The comments on People up to last night were mostly against the girl’s statement and the gist of the article, questioning her motives and why we need to know in a singing competition. Except for one guy who kept insisting over and over that Adam wasn’t “openly gay” on Idol. I guess for lack of a sworn statement under oath, lol. When your boyfriend is in the audience and pics making out on the net, plus just his style – well, not enough? I didn’t look at them today. Lots of folks pointed out Adam and others, too.
    I don’t worry about comments, they just annoy me and I like to get under their skin Grin !
