I follow Johnny Weir on twitter and he is married to a Russian, which explains why he was able to speak Russian to the fisherman. He actually uses the name Weir-Voronov a lot. Johnny is a little over the top but he owns who he is and is a great skater and a fun personality. I hope there is room for lots of cats as I got Cheshire cat also. My favorite results on these “who are you” quizzes was I’m a winkey kiss face emotion. Please Adam announce a Q+A tour soon as I’m not getting any younger (birthday next month) and I need to see this at least once.
Have decided to make a new window sticker for my car saying something like “Queen/Adam Lambert tour 2014”. Too dorky?

I was so happy to have a snow day today and squeeze in some wonderful reading here on the blog. I didn’t realized that I had missed so much non-Adam related events. cwm– thank goodness your sweet doggie is ok. Obstructions are scary things. So glad it was diagnosed and handled in time.
rs – hope your computer and all your files come back without your going bankrupt. It may be cheaper to fly luval’s computer wizard out to resolve the problem.
hkfan – I have to admit that my eyes did not stray too long from below the belt
sparkle – up for a summer road trip. Maybe we should consider renting a bus and/or a pop-up camper.

Hi adamized. After a week of struggles, we finally decided today that the only alternative is to wipe the whole computer clean and start afresh. No one here knows how to clean this virus and I would never think do paying the blackmailers. No way of knowing if they would unencrypt the computer and I wouldn’t want them to make a profit from their activities anyway. Fortunately I have made picasa albums of a lot of my photos, but still much is lost, including the photo of Adam and me at my M&G. I had hundreds of vids and recordings downloaded of Adam stuff from the past five years and except for the stuff that I had in iTunes that went to my iPad or what I made CDs out of, it is all gone. It wasn’t very well organized and I need to start again. Don’t really know where to begin. I can’t even begin to think of the documents, etc that we’re lost. I had everything backed up on an external hard disc, but since it was connected to the computer, the virus got into it, too. Let this be a lesson to you all.
And as a final straw to this week, I went to sculpture class tonight to find that a piece that I had worked on for over 8 hours has collapsed and I had to start the whole thing from scratch. Oooof!
My computer just better be back before Adam is on Idol next week. I can’t get the shows on internet using the iPad.

I don’t trust anything these days including Mother Nature! The hackers, viruses, all this and more are worse than ever. Power outages are common. Unless you have a generator you’re done. No way to power cell phones…anything. Nothing we can do. There’s always some way these criminals can make our lives miserable. They are always one step ahead.

luval – I use a car power charger when the electricity goes out. Of course, you then use up gas and it’s dependent on whether you can get to a station to replenish (station needs power, too).
Aren’t these just incredible? Ladynorth is that Finnish place near to you? If I won the lotto, I’d consider a few of these.

I watched a show titled Be Good Johny Weir when it was on Logo in 2012. I remember referring to it here. It was out and out hilarious. It followed him all around the world competing, and rehearsing and with his coaches. Johnny has been studying the Russian language for many years, and his coaches were Russian. His costume designers were Russian. He got into a bit of a controversy when he sported a Russian flag on his jacket at a competition in which he was skating , as always, for the Americans.
I remember when he would compete in Japan, the fans were nuts for him. They would shower him with gifts at the airport, there would be crowds waiting for him at the airports, they would wait in his hotel lobbies. They made johnny Weir dolls. They dressed like him. They loved his glam. Sounds familiar!

Ulti, that article is so true it’s ridiculous! My roommate in college was from DC, Chevy Chase, to be exact, and her reaction to snow in Madison, WI, was an endless source of humor for us! She kept expecting classes to be cancelled ( never were ) and roads to be closed ( nope ) and, just basically for the world to end. Hasn’t yet.

rs– Your computer disaster is just awful! I’m so sorry you lost so many of your photos. I thought the point of the external hard drive was to protect the files in case of a computer problem. I had no idea that viruses could destroy it too. I just unplugged my external hard drive from the computer to keep it safe.
