January seemed to just zip by. It was, of course, Adam’s birthday month but he also managed to get in some skiing (or après-skiing), some parties and even rehearsing new music. This month Adam is set to perform at the Family Equality Council Awards on Feb. 8. He also will be back on Glee on Feb. 25 and there is even a rumor that he will be on Idol later this month as well. It looks like this month will zip right by too – and that gets us closer to a possible Q+AL tour and new music!

    Wow! 2000 posts. Sounds like so many, but compared to some others here I am one of the quiet ones.

    Spent an anxious weekend waiting for my computer guy to come and give me the verdict on my computer which was attacked by a vicious Trojan virus. It looks like it might have destroyed everything! I can get a lot of the Adam stuff back, but all of my photography….And it looks like it got to my external hard disc back up, too. I just have to wait a few more hours till he comes and takes a look. I feel sick Big Frown

    Hi asif. Haha you’re so sweet! Thanks for asking about my mom. She has gotten a wee bit better and is still hanging in there. She has better days and worse days. She’s very weak and confined to bed, able to do very little, but we’re grateful that she’s still with us. I’m going to LA to visit her later this week.

    Oh rs – I’m so sorry to hear about your computer! The prospect of losing everything must be very distressing! Frown I so hope that you can recover your photography! Fingers crossed for you, sweetie.

    So it’s been quite a week for me since I posted last Saturday night from my “girls weekend” at the coast. On Sunday, our beloved Corgi “Rio” (family dog) became seriously and violently ill, I had to rush back from the coast, and we went through a 2-day ordeal to try to figure out what was wrong with him and get him properly treated. Turned out he had eaten a large chunk of corn cob, which created an intestinal obstruction, which almost killed him. Emergency abdominal surgery later, he is now recovering. Word to the wise – don’t let your dogs get access to corn cobs!

    Now we’re in the middle of a major snow and ice storm that dumped 7 inches of snow (which is a lot for us) then a half-inch layer of ice over everything. Roads are a mess. We lost power for about 8 hours on Saturday, and I’m worried that the heavy ice is going to take down some of my beautiful Japanese maples in our yard. Frown Hopefully we’ll start warming up tomorrow before too much more damage is done.

    Oh, and work has been a major bitch to boot.

    Blah blah blah… Sorry, it’s been a rough week. Hoping things settle down in the near future!

    On a positive note, Adam sounded sublime at the Family Equality awards and looked gorgeous, and I’m excited about seeing him on Idol next week and on Glee at the end of the month! And I loved the “glam” pic of him and Chris. He’s a great stress reducer.

    Sorry to hear about your computer rs, I truly hope they can find your photos….I don’t know what I would do if I lost my pictures.

    Nice to wake up this morning to see these beautiful pictures. Loved that he had a touch of eyeliner on. That’s why his eyes popped! Mad World was lovely, especially the end.

    The hair was ok, loved the front of it.

    Been away in real life a bit lately.

    Ron, you posted something a few days ago, and I remember I agreed with you , but my sieve for a brain isn’t telling me what it is right now.

    Love hearing how Adam affected people with his voice last night. That riffing is really something.

    Had a big brunch out with a large group of family and friends today. LOLOL. I haven’t heard so many “I’ll have the dressing on the side, Can I have it THIS way, OY, those poor waiters, but I digress once again.

    Anyhoo, I was chatting with a young lady about who she listens to, One Direction, etc, hates the Biebs ( Yay ) and she said she loves classic rock. Zep. Beatles. Stones. Doors. And QUEEN. She’s a huge Queen fan. So, I told her there was a chance they might tour again this year. Her mom and dad become very interested.

    “So who would sing?”

    I mentioned Adam Lambert just may.

    They instantly knew who he was, including the young lady, and said that he would be awesome.

    I just nodded. And grinned. And told them to look online for Adam and Queen.

    Even my cynical music snob and Queen devotee of a brother is now a fan of Queen and Adam.

    Liking the nose ring, like his hair high, but the side and back buzz just makes me want more hair.

    I don’t give two hoots whether or not he is shaved for Glee. I just want him on my TV. I like him shaved. I like him with scruff. He’s just fricking gorgeous any way you slice it.

    My opinion regarding a duet with Melissa or anyone for that matter…either it’s just fooling around in the studio or in your condo or it has to be the right song for radio. Melissa has a great voice but isn’t that relevant right now.Of course she may have good contacts which is what it’s all about.

    Adam wants to be played on radio.

    Mellisa Etheridge is simply amazing. A-may-zing. In so many respects.

    She is a real rocker. She writes her own music. She gets huge respect in the music world. She has always been out, as far as I know. I think she was referring to, IMHO, dueting at a fund-raiser, like last night. But, also, she has been a supporter of Adam’s before.

    She has had children with her partners, she is a cancer survivor, and she realllllly rocks!!

    Elton has played there several times. And no cultural shift happened because he played concerts there.

    Why pin Russia’s homophobic politics on Adam? How could a single person singing a few songs affect a whole country? Pussy Riot tried.

    In the meantime, things here in the states are changing very rapidly, for the better. IMHO.
