Another month has arrived, the last one before Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! February will hopefully see Adam’s lead single “Better Than I Know Myself” continue to gain airplay and sales. There should be a bump from the music video which is expected early this month. Meanwhile Adam will likely continue working on promo events in preparation for his upcoming album release, which is slated for March 20 here in the US. Perhaps with more promo being done ahead of the album release this time around, the next tour can begin by this summer? Enjoy the chat!

Update 2/4/2012: BTIKM music video was released Thursday night, feel quite certain we’ll be seeing plenty of it on VH1 in the next few weeks!

    You ask if I was from Chicago. I grew up just south of Milwaukee only 90 miles from Chicago. We spent a lot of time in that city going to Cubs and Sox baseball games. I now live in South Dakota. Still have a large family back near Milwaukee.

    Since the announcement, and in a effort to bring the news to this site, I have looked at many, many articles. In each and every one of them the most current photo they used was Adam in his Vodoo costume. Speaks to lack of awareness and lack of doing their homeowrk!

    The stars have aligned and we figured out to tack a side trip to London onto our already planned family trip to Europe. I feel SOOOO lucky!! I still can’t believe I’m going!! I wonder when it will seem real.

    As a suburban Chicagoan, I vote in this every night (UMixIt runs every weeknight from 8-12 pm). The collective efforts of area fans have resulted in BTIKM being played just about 2 times each night for the past few weeks. WWFM gets votes, too, and plays once every night or two. The station, unfortunately, isn’t playing BTIKM at any time outside of the UMixIt segment, but it’s really, really slow to pick up new music, so if it weren’t for this listener vote show, it probably wouldn’t have been playing here yet at all. They took foreeeevvvvvvver to play WWFM when it came out.

    I’m really nervous too. I’ve never actually been to a music festival before….I’m already worrying about the crowds..and the loo situation.
    And I really want to try and meet up with people. Haven’t broached that with hubby yet…he really doesn’t get my infatuation with Adam and thinks I spend far too much time on the computer. I will need to try and persuade him you are not all mass murderers or something!!

    Wow, so many people here going to Sonisphere. This is going to be great. Congrats cwm and glamberthaf28. I met some of you here at Ste. Agathe and am looking forward to meeting others at Knebworth. I still can’t believe I’m doing this….going. I’m worried about the crowds, too, but I think if you stay off to the sides you should be okay.

    There was a small article in my local paper too (The Syracuse Post Standard) about Adam and Queen. Although they didn’t get their info correct…said it was only the second time since Idol that he’s sung with them, they did use a recent gorgeous high hair photo.

    cwm, you know normally I would have been up to flail with you last night scooping up the last of the party dip, but I’m with my beautiful baby and she gets up early!!! She’s been sick and we had to start breathing treatments yesterday but she’s a little trooper! I’m really out of practice taking care of a baby all day but loving every minute!

    nkd I hope your little one is doing better. How old is she? We had to do breathing treatments on one of my grandsons. It was hard to do because you look at that little angel face and you just want to WILL them better. Nothing beats grandma’s love though.

    cwn So glad that we can add your name to the list of the England bound. All of you will have so much fun you won’t even notice the people around you. Your eyes will be drawn to the man on the stage. Everything else just falls away.

    I have to admit that I’m jealous of all of you people going to Knebworth. The irony is that I have friends in London I could stay with, ticket is no problem, money is no object, there is only thing missing – health. Well, I’ve learnt to live with this and I hope that it will be televised and shown on Palladia channel. YouTubes are great, but I want a better quality….
    I promised myself not to read any negative comments regarding Adam&Queen, especially these referring to age of Adam fans going to see Queen. Cuz you know, remaining members of Queen are 20 yrs old and should play only for that age group. What a nonsense!

    Thanks everyone for your well wishes! It really is exciting. I wish we could ALL go! Remember all of our fantasizing about going together to see Adam play Wembley Stadium? This actually kind of feels like that.

    A couple of you mentioned seeing Adam in your local newspaper. We had a blurb about Adam fronting Queen in our little ol’ local newspaper too! It was in the “People in the News” section. They ran the AP story that opens with the line about Adam getting “his dream gig.” It’s a good little piece. IIRC, this is only the 3rd time Adam has appeared in my newspaper: (1) when he came out in Rolling Stone, (2) when he was arrested in Helsinki, and (3) now. I knew that once the Queen/Adam story hit the AP wire, it would be EVERYWHERE. And it is! It will be really interesting to see the short- and long-term impact of this gig on Adam’s profile and reputation, both in the US and abroad.

    As I posted earlier, there was a blurb in my local paper too. Seems as this is generating more publicity than I imagined. A couple of people I work with came up to me and asked if I noticed it. (duh). Anyway, it’s legitimizing Adam to these people I think. All my talk about him meant nothing, but seeing him in the paper made me not seem so crazy!

    An article about Adam performing with Queen at Knebworth appeared in the local paper in a town of 1100 in Prince Edward Island…My sister phoned me last night to tell me. It also gave Adam’s quote about being honoured to be asked and in no way can anyone step into Freddie’s shoes.

    It certainly is getting around, as it should…It is a big deal that Queen feels Adam has the talent to do this although we knew all along…

    I wish I had a magic car that I could fly around in and pick everybody up, and a suitcase that I could put ALL of you into, like in the Harry Potter books so that I could sneak everybody on this blog into the festival with me and seat you in the VIP section. I feel so blessed that I can go to this concert and that I have such wonderful friends to share it with, and new friends to meet.
