Another month has arrived, the last one before Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! February will hopefully see Adam’s lead single “Better Than I Know Myself” continue to gain airplay and sales. There should be a bump from the music video which is expected early this month. Meanwhile Adam will likely continue working on promo events in preparation for his upcoming album release, which is slated for March 20 here in the US. Perhaps with more promo being done ahead of the album release this time around, the next tour can begin by this summer? Enjoy the chat!

Update 2/4/2012: BTIKM music video was released Thursday night, feel quite certain we’ll be seeing plenty of it on VH1 in the next few weeks!

    Hi, rainbow ! (Waving hand)
I wonder what are the other 8 words in Finnish, that Adam knows. Smile We know “moi” and “rakastan”..
Finnish is an extremely difficult language. It belongs to the same family of languages as Hungarian, Ugro-Finnic (surprise, surprise!)
Since my native language is also very difficult, I would not expect my American BF to learn it.Just sayin’..

Oksana Hi back!!! Getting ready to go to mjs. Have you been there today? Is the snark safe?? Laugh

  5. rainbowgal4 says:

Did this get posted? That smile tell me he’s doing ok. I don’t think we’ve ever seen him happier! So vote, spend money and cheer him on!!

Well, some very good news for today…..
Adam seems to be raking in loads of votes over at the VH1 site.
Now, the big mystery still remains. What is VH1 going to do with all of these votes??? Question *scratching head*

  8. rainbowgal4 says:

dcglam Back in the thread we picked up a twitter that said VH1 is on like a two week delay. I’m hoping to see it on the show this week. Fingers crossed and keep voting.

  9. luval says:

haha rainbowgal, I posted that Adam pic on the previous page but was gonna bring it over to this new page. So beautiful. You lift up my spirits, rainbowgal! And I have never seen that pic of Sauli before. I’m assuming Sauli was with him last night at Rasputin.

    nothing going on at mj’s.

  10. Oksana2000 says:

rainbow, I don’t think there is anything interesting (at least for me) going on at MJs.
    Time for late lunch.. Smile
BTW, did you read latest RS magazine? There is an article about teenage suicides and some “pillars” of community that might’ve cause it. Opinions usually trickle from the top. Too many peeps do not use their brains when it comes to judge other people. And things that you learn at home and when you are really young usually stay with you forever.
And the funniest thing is that some of the sluts that I knew in my youth became the biggest pearl clutchers later… Go figure.

Yes, I’m hoping (and expecting) that this is true. I also would expect Adam to debut fairly high from all the attention this video has been receiving. Fingers Crossed Fingers Crossed

That Norway interview was lovely. Honestly, is there any other celeb out there who is more candid or beautiful?

I was in the fourth grade when the Beatles invaded the US. I loved everything about them. My father bought my first Beatles record and my mother bought the teen magazines. I hung up posters, kept a scrapbook, skipped lunch for money to purchase their albums, etc.

Adam is all kinds of cute, and a great singer, and if I were a young girl, I’d be wanting to worship him also. Only NOW there is the internet. Adam’s dark side is out there for parents to find, and while they may not have a problem with gay, they may have a problem with some of the things that are out there for their kids to find. And the Glamberts, who want America to embrace this multi-talented guy could be the ones who are holding him back.

We thrilled over his sexiness during the AI tour, and many fan videos detail our obsession with certain IMPRESSIVE moves he made during the tour. Adam took our enthusiasm and went overboard at the AMAs. He chose the GlamNation theme for his tour and we embraced it. No problem for us adults, but many of the fan videos put together celebrating his sexiness, are not something a fourth-grader should be watching. As a parent, I wouldn’t mind my kid loving cute, not so sure about sexy. Remember David Cassidy, Davy Jones, Bobby Sherman? They were cute teen idols, but they didn’t exude sexy and they weren’t particularly teenage.

Also keep in mind, not everyone watches Idol and wouldn’t know how good he is. The first time I’d heard of him was from the opening screen on AOL that made a big deal about pictures of Adam kissing his boyfriend–OMG was there a GAY Idol contestant? I admit I clicked and looked even though at the time I never watched the show.

Typically, any time Adam made the news, it wasn’t because he was so good, it was because he did something controversial, or at least the media thought it was.

We have come to love dark and light Adam, and especially any combination of the both, but not everyone has followed him that closely. My point is that he has a lot to overcome, and it doesn’t necessarily have to do with his being gay as much as his public behavior (the kind that makes the news) and the behavior of his fans that reflects back on him. Yes we are loyal and passionate, but there are a few who are over-the-top (and many of you have met them!) Personally, I think a LOT of television exposure is the answer. Get him guesting on tv series or in movies. Get him on talk shows to promote himself and latest projects. Eventually, his talent will win out.

  17. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks NKD!! So so so so adorkable! Especially loved the tic tac teeth!

  18. Kradamour says:

OMG could he be any more adorable…”I’m gesturing with my eyes” Laugh
    Eyebeams!

Felt so sorry for and delighted for the kid who is just hyperventilating…Adam is so sweet to her and had to be thinking ‘please, please let her say something intelligent…” Heh

  19. Ellessay says:

Don’t ever ask me to be brief! Sorry for the long comment!

The last thing I wanted to comment on was the single, BTIKM. I can’t believe so many people are ready to write it off as a failure. The video hasn’t even shown on TV yet, and you know VH1 will definitely show it. The momentum for the single has just started. Many people don’t even know it’s out there yet.

And I don’t care much about the radio play. I see more kids with iPods playing than I do radios. I’m in the car about 10 minutes a day, and I’m lucky if I get to hear anything but four or five commercials in a row. The biggest problem is the illegal downloads just don’t give an accurate picture of how well the song is actually doing. The actual video hits might be a better indication of the song’s popularity.

And finally, someone with a voice like Adam’s makes it more likely that people will purchase the whole album instead of just a song or two. I would venture to guess there are a lot of people waiting for the album.

  20. Kradamour says:

Really loved the candid-ness and sincerity of that Norway interview. “Self-sabotage”…yes. It is so hard for us to understand why Adam might have had (and did have) such a negative self-image, have problems with relationships, beat his head against the wall over and over…this is the interview, I think, that made those things real for me in the most tangible way to date. Even though it was very short, it just seemed as though Adam’s comments came from a deeper place than usual.

  21. nkd says:

Audio for UK Chartshow interview. I had not heard it, so maybe some of you haven’t heard it either.

There is video for this but Chartshow has not put it up and the file was so large that I chose not to download it.

  22. AL says:

I see everyone has had “plenty” to talk about! Wink
So here are responses to several different posts.

Quick mock-ups for “Plenty” – wear if you dare!

    Plenty of Adam
    Just Plenty

ellessay, loved your thoughts on the Monte and totally agree. And with your other “brief” comments above. Smile Yes

And G&P remind me of being a kid and going to the movies. Loved those and the red nibs too. But there was never any good way of eating G&P quietly in the theatre. I’ve moved up to the gourmet English All-Sorts now and especially enjoy the Dutch licorice candies – yumm, “lekker!”.

  23. rainbowgal4 says:

Ellessay You make some good points about Adam and his progression. While I was reading your post I couldn’t help but think about Elvis. My parents never said much to me about Elvis (which was good – liked the Beatles more). But I remember the hoops he had to jump through. Yet his career was a good one. It was too bad it had to end the way it did.

There is no one thing that is happening right now that makes Adam’s climb slow. I think it’s many factors. What amazes me is when I watch the video countdown on VH1 I have to shake my head. The singers don’t really sing and the videos don’t make any sense to me. What we have is watered down artists. IMO

  26. mieps says:

I think you may be on to something Ellessay.

And the talk about licorice a few pages back. As a good Dutch girl I, of course, LOVE black licorice. Although not the stuff you get in North-America, but the real Dutch thing.
I’m paying a fortune for it here, and as thrifty as I am, I always seem to find money for that!

  27. vjb475 says:

I’ve been reading the opinions as to why things are not taking off for Adam and here is my 2 cents. I don’t think there are a lot of reasons, only a couple.
First being gay is not the problem it’s being affectionate in public that is. Somebody said everyone loves NPH but you never saw him and David affectionate in public until recently.
Second is us. Remember when you were a kid, there was no way you liked the same singer as your parents and if you did you sure would not tell your friends, OMG!
My Grand-daughter heard IIHY on the radio and liked it until she knew it was Adam.

  28. dcglam says:

    Just Plenty

AL…. I think I want this as my bumper sticker.
    Just Perfect!! Shock

Sauli and kale (in the background)?

  30. luval says:

I love Sauli in that picture. No Cool Whip on his head.

eta: I have sent my brother every single video/audio of Adam in these past few weeks. As a test I just called him and asked him to tell me the name of Adam’s new song. He said “wait…wait…it’s in the chorus…wait…I’m drawing a blank” . LOL
From day one this has been a problem. It’s so wordy. Obviously now I know it, but geez……

  31. HK fan says:

I don’t know any teens or even 20’s who listen to radio either, they either have ipods on or listen to itunes in their computers.

Mieps I love black licorice too, the wheel shaped ones from Germany….maybe they’re the same as the Dutch ones.

  32. turquoisewaters says:

Lots of great posts about the lack of radio play. I think the bottom line is that he needs to just keep pushing forward, and his fans need to continue having his back as rainbowgal said so well.
With regards to the Norway interview: the AMAs can well be seen as self-sabotage. Like a little kid whose drawing didn’t quite turn out the way he wanted, and instead of correcting the offending line he destroys the whole picture with big dark lines and circles. I can relate a lot to that psychology, and I just wanted to give him a hug afterwards.

  33. Ron says:

Now I see the family resemblance. Big Smile

    Hi luval Wink

  34. luval says:

Hi Ron!…you are correct! We are all a little brain dead-ish!

Amazing Race tonight! I think I’ll tweet Sauli and ask him if he’d ever do this.

  35. dcglam says:

Speaking of tweets, I have a question for you guys.
As some of you may know, I just recently signed on for a Twitter account for the sole purpose of voting for Adam on VH1. I have never had any other desire to be on Twitter as I was always able to access Adam’s Twitter feed through the internet.
By the way, I am only following Adam. Anyway, this is my question….
If I were to tweet something, would this go out to everyone on Twitter (Universe) or only to Adam? Haha, I know it is a very dorky question for those of you who have been on Twitter.
Thanks for bearing with me as I navigate a whole new Adam world. LOL! Kiss

  36. luval says:

    Ya got me, dcglam!

  37. Ron says:

    Anyway, this is my question….
If I were to tweet something, would this go out to everyone on Twitter (Universe) or only to Adam?

Hi dcglam! If you send a Tweat to @adamlambert, it will go to him. Otherwise, only those people that follow you will receive your Tweat(s).

I believe I have that right. Big Smile

  38. dcglam says:

    LOL, luval….. Heart

  39. ultimathule says:

As far as I know the tweet is out there – unless you send a DM or hit Reply.

  40. ultimathule says:

Y’know, I’ve been thinking about this licorice thing. Didn’t Sauli say or write that he was crazy about one particular kind of licorice?

  41. dcglam says:

Hmmm….. Thanks for your thoughts, Ron and ultimathule.

  42. nkd says:

dcglam, if you tweet something to @adamlambert, it will go to him, but anyone that follows you and him would see it in their feed. However, many people watch Adam’s feed so any tweet that mentions him will show there, so yes, it can be seen by others. The only private tweets are Direct Messages but the person you send it to has to be following you.

  43. ultimathule says:

My screen background keeps changing from white to yellow – wonder if monitor is going? HP not that old. Bad video card? Have to check with my expert.

Would that be the Good n “Plenty” kind?! Wink Laugh

  45. luval says:

I’ve tweeted something to Adam in the past then go immediately to his twitter feed and I see it. But he gets so many hundreds an hour it flies away into deep space.

  46. nkd says:

    Out last night?

I look at this pic, and he’s gorgeous, but I am just asking myself, does he really wear that $3800 jacket out to a club?
(My mother coming out in me!)

  47. nkd says:

Yeah luval, most of the tweets to Adam get missed by him, there’s just no way he could see them all, but you never know when he will see the one you send. He replied to smeggs last night and sent the fandom twitterverse into a tailspin! Laugh
It was quite funny, she asked him about the goatee, and everyone was all over her, in a fun way, that she would be to blame if he grew it again!

  48. Ron says:

I haven’t read back through the posts to know what this “plenty” reference is about but, with all the flailing, I have a fairly good idea. Wink

I don’t suppose Adam said, “I’ve Got Plenty of Nothin'” did he? No, I guess not. Big Smile
